1. Made the reservation and was told that I did the reservation recently and could not have a table we ask because it was "reserved", just a note, when we left (1.5hrs later) the table we ask was still empty.
2. Ordered a red wine (had to ask the waitress twice for the wine) then it was served chilled. Im not a professional wine taster but I believe red wine is served around 60 to 70 degrees (F), not chilled like water with ice . At least did not charged for it.
3. Sloppy service by the waitress, looks like the waitress had either too many tables assigned or else.
4. Food quality was average, not as I expect it will be or al least as good as the last time we went there.
Sorry for the restaurant, but it has gone south in overall. BTW, the waitress mentioned that all wines are chilled.
Wonderful dining experience on their upstairs wrap-around porch, even though we had some unwanted excitement (a massive thunderstorm forced us indoors between the dinner and dessert courses!) we had the raspberry walnut salad and blackened swordfish - both were excellent. Desserts we found less so...not a fan of gloppy sweet desserts, though many may find them divine. I mark the noise level as moderate because live entertainment from a saloon across the street is definitely audible on the porch...could be either a big plus or big minus, depending on the quality of the performer. We lucked out!...considered walking across the street to put money in the guy's tip jar...but it was raining too Hard!
My husbands meal the Ahi Tuna and our Lamb Chop App was delicious. My lobster meal was over cooked. Very disappointing. The waitress was nice and was very apologetic but I expected the meal to be removed since it was not eaten but the app was instead. I would go back for the tuna though.
I have been to Bagatelle before and really enjoyed it. I've recommended it to others. But on this visit we had very poor service. After we were seated at our table we were virtually ignored. The waiter took our order and then we didn't see him again until we flagged him down for the check. I know they were having trouble with their billing system but that doesn't excuse the service we received.
Very nice place for a quiet dinner on Ducal St.. with good food and extensive wine list.
What a lovely old home right on Duval Street in the heart of Key West’s Bar and shopping. It’s like a little oasis in the middle of potential craziness! Excellent food and service, white tablecloths and candles. Pricey but worth it.
We totally enjoyed our dinner. Our server was pleasant and very helpful.
Service lacking food good cool building and place to be
Our reservation was for 9pm. We were sat quickly by our greeter. We waited awhile before the waiter came to the table. He seemed tired and uninterested in our needs. He also seemed put out that we didn’t order a huge meal. (After being in Key West for almost a week, we weren’t very hungry.). The lobster mac and cheese was bland and the hogfish was as well. The chef didn’t know about salt apparently and there wasn’t any on the table. Very disappointing after the many great meals we shared throughout Key West.
Bagatelle is a beautiful and calm oasis in the middle of Key West chaos. We made a reservation on a whim and are so glad we did. The food and service was fantastic and the restaurant is beautiful!
Excellent food would go again
I loved the octopus and the beef filet mignon. The meat was excellent, perfectly cooked (I had medium-rare) I had the reduction wine sauce on the side because it’s really sweet and I feel it overpowers the flavor of what is an excellent piece of meat. Also the Italian burrata (buffalo milk) is amazing, possibly the best in Key West!
We had a delicious meal with attentive, enjoyable staff. Restaurant is right on Duvall and we were seated on the second floor porch overlooking the street. We had the Key West pink shrimp appetizer and the ribeye entrée and the scallops special. All were amazing.
Food was excellent. Many items available on the brunch menu to suit everyone in the family. Nice wrap around porch to dine outside with a breeze.
We were vacationing in Key West and went here for Easter Brunch. It was quite delicious! Would definitely come again!
Everything was perfect except the table—we were backed up right against the bar and in front of the entrance.
With a fish in the logo you would expect a certain quality- but the meat of my daughters was good - the lobster and the snapper were dry like the Sahara....
Music of the speaker compete against the live music from
Across the streets - a little to much for a joyful dinner
Great meal (mussels were amazing) and nice spot out in the fresh air om the porch. Would definitely come back.
Always a winner. Great for people watching
We had a very nice evening
Outstanding mussels. So good we didn’t even get to. An entree. Our loss.
Awesome lobster bisque. Great cocktails. Friendly service. Overall a very nice dining experience.
Great venue; enjoyed its so much went back another night while visiting. Just a great place for dinner!~~!!~!!
Very poor service. !0 minutes after being seated until we were approached by Waiter. Justin T. was the most inattentive server I have experienced in a popular , well regarded restaurant. He didn't seem to care and my 15% tip was being gracious.
Booked at as a convenient option after sunset and was not disappointed. Food was fantastic. Great service and wine list. Nice setting in the house and on the porch.
65th Birthday! Great experience, delicious food!
Food and service was great!!!!
Overall, food was good. Great location to people watch, and hear music from the Hogs Breathe Across the street. Food is good, but portions have gotten smaller, while the price continues to increase (YoY). We sat on the first floor porch. Our server wasn’t as welcoming as other servers I’ve had in past. Everyone is entitled too an off day.
Food was good, but a server can change your experience....
Fabulous table overlooking Duval Street. Great food, terrific service and a lovely old house porch setting. Couldn’t be better!
Unexpected find on Duval street. Fine dining experience with authentic Italian food. Outstanding appetizers and pasta with sufficient quantities and reasonable prices. Waiter outstanding and attentive. Will definitely return here next time in Key West.
Always delicious and well prepared entrees. Our group of 4 had barmundi (mild Asian sea bass), swordfish and filet. Nice selection of wines by the glass, too.
We had fish tacos and bbq tacos for lunch, not bad. The server pushed the key lime pie as being voted best in Key West, and since we hadn't had any on our trip yet, we got it--but honestly, it was awful. Too much meringue (which was crunchy with sugar) topped a sour but somehow also too sweet, lime-less pie. We had two bites each and sent it back. Unfortunate. Maybe it was just an off day? But the atmosphere can't be beat. Still enjoyed the place immensely and would definitely return.
Our dinner at Bagatelle in Key West was excellent. The service was great when we made our reservation on Open Table we requested balcony seating and got it right on Duval Street. The Surf and Turf was amazing and we loved the Key Lime Pie.
Our dinner was mediocre and expensive. There are better choices for dinner in Key West.
Really great place. Food was phenomenal as was the service.
Vacation ... anniversary
We went for brunch and it wasn’t very good. The food came lukewarm at best. Biscuits tasted like frozen ones. Hollandause sauce was so thick and didn’t have much taste to it. The service was fine but we surely didn’t enjoy the food there.
Amazing service. Great food.
