A visit to our house is a unique way to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures as well as our treasures from the sea. The word Bagatelle comes from the French and means "a trifle or a little nothing", often referring to a light, fun, yet not too serious spring time romance. The French brought their history of fine cuisine and their love of wine to the Caribbean Islands. It is in this tradition that we have combined our French heritage, southern hospitality and the indigenous tastes of the Florida Keys into the meals we prepare today. Our chefs blend the best of our locally caught fresh seafood, fresh produce and delicious tropical fruits for our tropical seafood dishes.

Bagatelle Ratings and Reviews
I lived in KW many years ago and this was the place to go for a fine dinner experience. Unfortunately not the case this time around when taking my family for a special dinner. It took 1hr and 45 minutes to get our dinner meal, and the restaurant was at about 1/2 capacity. They completely forgot our table. The prices are ridiculous and the meal was cold. My son's lobster was very small and cold; my plate (special that evening), was 3 scallops with a very sloppy risotto! It was unfortunate because I had hiped up the restaurant to my kids and family. They were kind enough to recognize the mishaps and compensated us with free drinks and a 10% discount. I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner and will not return. This KW icon has lost its charm.
Bagatelle was such a fantastic dining experience. This was our last night in Key West, and our hostess sat us in a beautiful spot on the balcony. The people watching is so much fun. Our waiter was very sweet, and helpful with suggestions. The food was delicious, and if we were not so stuffed, we would have stayed for some chocolate creme brûlée. Fabulous place and we highly recommend.
Great food and excellent service. We dined upstairs and enjoyed a full view of Duval street. Our server was excellent the menu selections outstanding. The quality of food was superior I had the filet and my wife had the fish and both were superb. Great place to go for a quality meal and great service.
The restaurant came highly recommended as one with great food and a nice 'date night' spot so we were excited to try it. We had a wonderful server, Regan, and the food was as good as promised - every bite was delicious. Our perfect dining experience was ruined however by rodents (rats? large mice?) running amok across the dining room floor. Though Regan was horrified and did give us a complimentary dessert and after dinner drinks, I'd be uncomfortable returning to a restaurant where there are rodents and food is being prepared. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars across the board.
Bagatelle remains in my top six restaurants to visit while in Key West- located on Duvall street and we were fortunate to get a table on the front porch- being able to observe all the "goings on" on Duvall Street. Cocktails, food and service continue to impress in a classy atmosphere. Our waitress/server Reagan was friendly, personable and professional. We took two other couples and all were favorably impressed.
We were looking for a good place to take special friends (who are real "foodies") to celebrate their joint birthdays...and this place DELIVERED!!!
Great table; PHENOMENAL FOOD (likely he best dinner I have had in years ...ahi tuna, udon noodles, spicey peanut sauce- AMAZING). We all had fish and it was fantastic. Salads were lovely...and key lime pie with the tallest merinque topping ... simply relish!
Service was a "10"...
Cannot say enough good things about this!
We have been repeat customers for many years: breakfast, lunch & dinner. I love the upstairs porch & the ambiance looking out over Duval. I enjoy the music from the Hogs Breath saloon. We are locals now & we affectionately call this place "The Bag". We loved it before Christmas. The decor was so lovely & festive!
This time I ordered the hogfish. Everything but the fish was delicious. The fish was a major disappointment! Don't order the entree. My husband's two appetizers (chowder & shrimp) were very tasty. We had alcohol (Irish coffee & port) for dessert.
The service was prompt & attentive.
We get there at 10pm they told us we have to put the all good order because the kitchen is closing soon and by 10..30 told us to order the rest of the alcohol because the bar close
10.30 !!!! I think for a vacation place is a little to early compare with Miami different story !!!! No dj
Good location on Duval Street but food overall was very disappointing. It was busy and waited a very long time for the surf and turf to arrive. Steak was stringy and something more akin to a canteen than a high price restaurant. Batter on the fish was too thick and ruined the taste of the fish. Lime key pie was the worst I had in Key West. Wine list was good but overall it felt like a tourist trap and I would not go back or recommend it.
Terrible table outside on the porch with all the drunk people walking on the street ! Food was overpriced and not good quality! Ordered a rib eye steak med rare and came out over cooked ! Sent it back And finally got it when my husband was ordering desert! Would never come back to your place!
Bagatelle was a place we picked based on reviews and it did not disappoint. Location was key because we watched the sunset at Mallory Square and this restaurant was very close. The highlight was seeing Spiderman jump up on to the porch area where we were sitting to greet the people behind us. It's a great spot for people watching since we ate on the porch which is right off Duval street. The seafood chowder was a 10 hands down. Fantastic soup! Our entrees were very good as well along with dessert. I loved the banana bread pudding. Our waitress was excellent!
