Great evening, lots of exciting music, good service, ambiance and food. Will enjoy going again. Dancing was great.
First Time Visit was a Hit!
We'd never been here, and received a warm greeting from the host and pleasant, friendly service from our young male waiter, who was from Cannes but spoke excellent English. I enjoyed superb halibut as well as a very fresh-tasting Bibb lettuce salad, with delicious mustard-flavored vinegreatte. My husband had two appetizers - a beef tartare (a bit sweet, and with too many condiments and not enough beef, but tasty) and a delicious and generous crab salad. The drinks were good, but not cheap. We really enjoyed our food. As the evening went on, the music became much louder, so it was difficult to talk. We enjoyed watching the champagne with sparklers emerge for other diners. All the hamburgers being carried by us looked scrumptious. We were not rushed at all by anyone and able to enjoy a very leisurely and pleasant dinner.
The restaurant had great food and a great atmosphere. I loved the french theme of the restaurant too and everyone dining seemed like they were there for more than just a meal.
Steak and eggs was excellent.
we arrived at 7:30 and were almost completely alone yet the hostess wanted to seat us in the middle of the room with walking lanes on all sides. We declined and were finally seated at a table against a wall. The food was very good but the evening was ruined by the volume of the music played by the DJ. As more people arrived the louder it became and was ntolerable by 8:30. We were unable to speak to each other as were other dinersnwho tried to speak over the music. I guess the crowd was too young for us. For this reason we will not return.
This place is great. It's like a dance club/ fancy restaurant/ great food and the best service!!
The server never brought everything we ordered and was totally unconcerned when we brought it to his attention. The reason for this attitude is because for two people a 20% gratuity was added to the bill. So no matter how bad the service the server automatically receives a substantial tip.
I just wanna say the restaurant was so desperate and begging for a call- back to confirm my opentable reservation for Sat night, in the afternoon of Thursday. This is so annoying and stupid.
Terrible. I came here to catch up with a girlfriend who I had not seen in a while. The restaurant was virtually empty except for a few tables with elderly couples, yet the restaurant was blaring techno and dance music and flashing disco strobe lights. It was totally distracting and unnecessary given that the place was almost empty and the crowd that was there did not seem into it. The food was ok, however I requested my fish to come grilled with sauce on the side. When it arrived it was dropped off by a bus boy and the sauce was all over it - not what I requested. Our waiter had a cute ponytail and a french accent but I cannot forgive him for never ONCE coming to check to see if our dishes came out ok.
There are way too many great restaurants in Los Angeles...don't waste your time or money here.
Sunday brunch is a must! Super festive atmosphere and great drinks. The food was excellent too. The DJ was super fun and was spinning some super fun music. It was a rather slow Sunday with the restaurant not packed to capacity but still fun. Our reservation was for 12:15 which was right after it opened. I hear it gets more packed towards 3pm. Would love to try this again for a special occasion!
Been here twice for brunch which is definitely the time to be here. Came on a Saturday night and it wasn't what we expected at all. I'd recommend coming on Sundays only. It'll be much more worth it!
Tuna tartare and drinks were delicious. Had the halibut served with orzo for dinner...the orzo was really overcooked so it had a very gummy texture. Service was pretty bad...our server seemed to disappear a lot and wasn't very pleasant. Our bartender was nice though!
Good Interior. Great ambiance and energy. DJ was playing soft electronic and got into the real good stuff later in the night. Fun LED wearables were given out to the girls and pictures taken. Servers were great. Food was very good but quite small for the price, you pay for the place. The $50 dessert ice cream was great.
Bagatelle - LA was close to Bagatelle - NYC in regards to the vibe, the music, etc. Their Sunday Brunch/Day Parties are always a viable destination for groups.
Iove the place. Everyone having fun!
Always a good time. Good vibes, good service, and good music!
Bagatelle is a great place for birthdays or just to hang out and act as fool Vegas style. The atmosphere is filled with great music, people and dancing on the tables is encouraged. They party at 3 in afternoon likes it's midnight. The food is cool but the drinks is awesome especially their bowls filled with great combination of alcohol.
Sunday brunch is as lively as a club. The crab cake Benedict was so good
I had an amazing experience at Bagatelle celebrating my birthday !!
Great place for drinks and dancing. Excellent calamari and truffle flat bread
The steak was so chewy and hard. Over cooked and dry. They took 20 min before bringing out our wine bottle. Even the server attendant ask if he can remove the wine glasses because he thought we were not drinking.
We went there last Sunday for brunch for my friend's birthday, and loved everything about it! A vibrant ambiance, with great dj and music, gourmet food and great service!!
You should go and experience it, I know you'll love it as much as I did!!
I recently booked a table at Bagatelle to celebrate my birthday. This place is a hoot. The food was great and service was on point. I would suggest buying bottles here as our group found that the drinks were extremely weak. Either the bar tenders are not very generous with the liquor, or the alcohol is watered down (typical in Europe so people buy more drinks). I had 6 drinks in the space of 2-3 hours and I walked out pretty much sober which is fairly abnormal for me. Other than that I had a fantastic time and would recommend to anyone looking for a entertaining night out. I will definitely be returning.
poor service...the server did the bare minimum, by taking our order. he didn't return to check on the food and if we needed refill on water. he waited a long time to come back after we were done with our dinner to see if we wanted dessert. when we had asked for dessert, he was pushing ordering cocktails from us.
food was pretty good. DJ played good music. percussionist made the entertainment even livelier and fun!
We each ordered different beef options. both were quite delicious. The filet with the horseradish crust was my favorite even though it was what my wife ordered. The crowd started coming in at 8:00 as the DJ turned up the volume. While there was a mix of people, there were several tables consisting of all women, which I thought was unique. It probably means it is a good place for girls night out. Adding to the good for group vibe, they also have punch bowl cocktails that serve several. The punch bowls seems fun (which come with sparklers), but was more that my wife and I could drink (well more than we were prepared to take on that night). Ferdinand, the maitre'd, gave us a little extra attention because we were celebrating a birthday.
Service was sub par for a self imposed service gratuity charge. It's more like they don't care how bad the service is because they get a tip no matter what. Food quality was below par, and for a restaurant named in French for bread, you'd assume there would be an amazing bread serving of some sort. The lighting was so dark, you couldn't see the menu, until they finally received enough complaints and turned the lights up a bit. Our party of 4 was looking forward to a great evening of conversation and good food and honestly couldn't get out of there soon enough. Doubtful that any of us will return.
Best calamari ever. Great service. Best music. Every Friday there's a different theme, which makes things festive. Love the energy.
The food is very good and also the music is nice. But the service is very bad, we wait a lot before some one take the order!!
Love the vibe in this place. The music, people, and drinks were great. Food was decent. A bit on the salty side. Our waiter was really great. Other than that my friends and I had a lot of fun. Would come back again.
Food is amazing. Make sure to try their calamari, it is the best calamari that I or anyone I know tried. Theres a dj playing really fun music and over time, the crowd is having more and more fun. It goes from a very classy restaurant to a still classy lounge/club. Definitely a good alternative to a club and/or just a night out in general. Very fun way to celebrate anything. Definitely recommend this place!
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone ..
food here was amazing. we owes the chicken and the steak and it was delicious! the sauce that came with both item was mouth watering! the place was also very loud, almost like a club. service was pretty slow, they had 1 waitress for the entire place. but the place is pretty small. however, she was a great waitress. drinks were really expensive, food was really expensive as well. overall, decent place to check out.
Literally like a club--but during brunch time. Champagne and pancakes. It doesn't really get much better than that. Dj's are always playing the best mix of hip hop and house.
I love that place !! Perfect brunches and get together with friends.
Food is delicious, staff friendly, one of my favorite place for Sunday fun day:)
energetic experience to match the high quality food. Extremely friendly wait staff. Expect the music to get louder into the evening so if you prefer less energy dine early.
We went there on Sunday for a brunch and we ended up partying for 6 hours! Loved the music and the ambience. It was a lot of fun.
I made a reservation to celebrate my cousin's birthday in a nice, elegant, and beautiful restaurant. What we got was incredible. All of the servers were extremely friendly, one of the mangers offered us free shots, the food was incredible, and talk about a whow factor. As the evening went on, we started seeing neon glasses, earrings, necklaces, etc. It was a big party. The music may have been a bit too loud, but it went with the festive ambiance. Definitely and incredible evening.
This place was amazing! Great food and drinks! I celebrated my birthday here and we had the punch bowl to share! Perfect! The vibe is awesome your eating and clubbing at same time!
I would not go there again for Dinner. The service is real poor and food even worse. For the price I expected a lot better service/food.
The entrance to this restaurant is hidden. It's next to STK. It was not open when we arrived at 7:00 pm which is also, as we learned, their start time. I think my husband and I are just too old for them. We went into STK, where the Bagatelle hostess was next to the STK hostesses, and she whispered that the restaurant wasn't open yet. After about 10 to 12 minutes they ushered us in. The music playing by a "live DJ" was extremely loud. We were the first to be seated. Our food was mostly good. The onion soup was too sweet, but the gnocchi were fantastic. We enjoyed our entrees, but wouldn't come back. The food was not good enough to have to wait for it nor listen to the earsplitting music. I sense they don't want our type of diners anyway.
