Badmaash Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely loved this place. The food was delicious and the service was great. Our server Nicolle made us feel welcome and described everything on the menu so well that it made it difficult to choose! Will definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Masala fries are bomb! Highly recommended.
Double birthday celebration brunch and our first visit. Service was very good and the attentive service was nice And not overpowering. Food was great..we ordered the butter chicken samosas..light,tasty and plenty of filling. The Punjabi fish fry was again fresh, hot and full over flavor and fish was fresh. We also ordered the sheesh kebab which was accompanied with a yellow curry sauce..kebabs were juicy and full of Indian spices with a side of masala fries which were awesome. This was all washed down with a mango mimosas and a thumbs up come from India. Only reason why the food is 4 out 5..the portions are too small for the prices you pay..especially the fish and kebab dishes we ordered. Otherwise an excellent brunch and would be back to try other dishes.
The service is average and the food is ok.
We made a reservation At 10 for three people, last minute changes we had to move it forward and i explained the front desk lady but she was unhelpful. Also last min change included an additional person and she said our appointment needs to be pushed to 10:15 as she has to find a bigger.
the food can be more flavorful, i actually found it be quiet bland and i could feel any spices
This place has been on our radar for ages, and we finally visited after a trip to the nearby Broad.
IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Everything is just so...real, fresh and delicious. The chicken tikka poutine was on my must try list, and I’ll admit I️ worried it would sound better on paper than it actually was. Nope. Perfectly executed. I️ wish all poutines started with fries as wonderful as these.
If you’re in the area, stop here for some seriously awesome hipster Indian.
For an Indian fusion concept, the flavors were quite authentic. The "elevated" versions of familiar classics was well-executed. There were "twists" on the classics without bastardizing the flavors. Very cool decor, very hip -- so there is the expectedly higher prices, but well worth it.
Love this place, my favorite Indian restaurant in LA (being Indian myself, I'm pretty picky about the food!) Was just a little disappointed because I specified our recent dinner there was a birthday dinner and asked if there could be some kind of acknowledgement - it must have been completely overlooked :( Chicken tikka masala is my favorite, love the lamb vindaloo but just super super spicy. The beef short rib was AMAZING. Lamb burger which I've had before is amazing too. Another unfortunate thing - rice pudding was out that night and that was the bday boy's favorite dessert. Anyway, this experience wouldn't deter me from going to the restaurant again but maybe whoever looks at the reservation could take a closer look next time!!
Loved this place! The food was amazing. The service was really outstanding. Very accommodating & attentive without being intrusive. Great beer. Good location. Just wish I lived closer. The only negatives were that the seats weren’t super comfortable & they do not serve hard alcohol. Otherwise, fantastic.
food was bland, lacking spice & heat, yet overly salty & the chicken was dry. the seating was very uncomfortable. the high top tables should be more spread out to allow people sat in the center to access the restroom. overall, i was pretty disappointed with my experience & i, unfortunately, would not recommend.
First time here and won't be the last. Enjoy the pickled vegetables, yogurt puffs, grilled, a spicy grilled cheese sandwich and cauliflower. We thought the cauliflower could have been a little spicier but all the other items had the right amount of spice to them.
Food was very good but nothing spectacular. Place is small and loud, and old horror movies were projected onto the wall, which is absolutely DISGUSTING when you’re trying to eat a meal. Portions were small, so felt overpriced. Service was fabulous and staff was great.
Badmaash has excellent food, great service, and a fun atmosphere! I came here with my family, and we all loved the food! Our server was knowledgable, funny, and paid great attention to our table. The Butter Chicken and Chickpea appetizer are must haves! I cannot wait to come back and to try more dishes here.
Disgusting restaurant, to start with arrogant host followed by the manager who has no respect for customer, "Zero customer service". Talking about food, I have never in my 45 years of life had such a trashy Indian food, these people need to understand, Indian food is full of aroma, different spices and flavorful, i was not able to swallow the food, completely bland and tasteless, i had to give 1 star cause there was no choice, never would recommend this restaurant to anyone, please STAY AWAY.
I made reservations at this place, so when we walked in I was checking in to let the hostess know we were here. The hostess that was at the front was very rude and giving not only me attitude, pretty much everyone that she interacted with. Once we were seated our waitress was nice and accommodating. The food was great and the decor and atmosphere was awesome.
