Great little restaurant and bar on Boylston Street. Only complaint is we waited a while before being served but it didn’t really dampen our experience.
We had made reservations on New Years and were seated right away. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The short ribs were delicious and the steak frites were also tasty but a bit overcooked for a medium rare request. The portions were very large. Despite it being a sports bar, we were seated at a booth had no issues with the noise.
The place is closed! Yet my online reservation was taken, and a reminder sent the day before! Imagine my surprise when we showed up! Crazy!
Had a great experience here would definitely recommend people go here whether casual or for special occasion. Everything was great from the service to the food and everything in between. Would highly recommend
Pretzel bites, fries, and pasta a la vodka are 10/10!
Its always fun to go to Brunch and there are lots of choices. They are all about the same in terms of pricing and offerings. The Social Club is no exception. The hostess was welcoming and very pleasant and our waiter - tho harried - was efficient and very good at his job. We all found our meals nicely prepared and tasty. My only problem was that my English muffin for my Benedict was not toasted - not pleasant tasting. But - I would go back and just make sure I requested a toasted one.
The server was attentive! And was able to even make the dinner a little more special with a birthday cake and song 🎂🎂🎂
Relaxed and welcoming environment. The food was fresh and well seasoned with prompt, friendly service . Will definitely go back ;)
Table for two was tiny and very close to two other tables for two. Wine tasted as if it had been opened too long. Salmon entree was great. We made reservations there because it was recommended on the website for the Boston Pops. It’s a very casual restaurant with a young vibe. With reservations at 5, we were able to finish in plenty of time.
Great chicken and waffles, we got tots, and fantastic Monte Cristo
Seated in the downstairs, it looked and smelled like an old bar The room temp was quite chilly. Server disappeared after bring food which was well plated but did not taste fresh. Soda was flat. Would not recommend
We loved it! The dinner was fresh and fantastic! The service was great as well. Will definitely be back when we come back to town.
Great spot for a romantic date night!
Non-pretentious, welcoming and value for money are the top three reasons I keep coming back….oh, and the burger!
Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was nicely presented and very good. The music, however, was a tad too loud.
I loved the fish and chips. The food is very affordable. The service was great, friendly staff. The place was bustling with young diners enjoying the lively and loud pop music.
The Buffalo Cauliflower was delicious! veggie Burger also very good. Our server was great, just super busy-but it was. Friday night so expected!
Food quality was poor. Menu sounded good but it’s just a miss. They cut corners everywhere. Would NOT recommend this place.
First time in Boston, service, food and ambiance were amazing. Definitely try the espresso martini
Always a pleasure dining here. We were a little late and they were happy to accommodate us. Got the meatloaf sandwich and a boulevardier. Love it here.
Had a great time.
Great Brunch menu with lots of variety, one of the better ones in the area. We all enjoyed our selections: Breakfast Scramble Flatbread was excellent and egg dishes were good; potatoes with the eggs were overcooked, though. Overall we were very pleased and would definitely return. We were at a table in the back, which was great for our group except that it was pretty dark, especially for a daytime meal.
We went for Sunday brunch and were mildly disappointed. Mimosa's were tasty but served in small water glasses. Coke was served with no flavor and flat (our server took away the drink and never returned a new one or anything else). Chicken and waffles, wing appie, breakfast sando were terrific. Bananas Foster French toast was slightly burned but the sauce was delicious.
Arrived 30 minutes before reservation. Promptly seated. Very broad menu choices. Food excellent. If there weren’t so many choices in the area, would definitely eat there again.
Great food. Great ambiance and great service.
Nice to sit outside. Food was average. Entree was cold at
Not awesome but not bad either. Tavern food stepped up a notch would be my opinion. Service was excellent.
The menu posted on OpenTable does not match the menu at the restaurant. Everything we were looking forward to eating wasn’t even on the menu. OpenTable needs to update their website with accurate info.
Good food, close to Fenway. A bit loud inside.
Awesome brunch menu!! Food was delicious and we had a great time. Wish they had bottomless mimosas. Kind of pricey for one bottle of champagne.
The service and food were great, no complaints there!
The outdoor seating area, the tables are super small to hold plates especially when you have a party of 4. My group had to put masks, cell phones and keys on the ground. When we were done our drinks we couldn't even place our glass on the tables because they were too small and the plates were taking up the spots on the table.
Our waiter was wonderful, food was good
Music loud, room dark, food was just ok.
It was a busy evening with the employees stretched to cover their tables. We waited for 50 minutes for our food, and it arrived less than hot. Our waitress did not reappear after taking our orders until she presented the check.
Food is always good here. Service was fast. Always a good time
The atmosphere was great. The food was good but the portions were really too big. other than that, the staff was great and I'd recommend Back Bay Social Club to anyone.
I’ve been to Back Bay Social many times, but not in a couple years. The restaurant was playing extremely loud music, louder than I recall in the past, and since it was more than half empty the music was somewhat echoing. While I understand it’s also a bar, it was early in the night (7:30pm) and no one was really at the bar, everyone was sitting down for Dinner. We asked to moved to the outdoor patio because of the noise but we weren’t moved because there wasn’t a table initially, then seemed like the hostess and server forgot that we asked to move. Then we asked if the music volume could be lowered and our server said she would speak to the manager, but nothing happened. I will note I had my 73-year old mother with me who was not ok with the noise level, I’m in my 30s and I could tolerate it but it was difficult to hear anyone at my table speak. I will not go here for dinner ever again, while the food was decent, the restaurant is way too loud for anything but drinks at the bar and only suited for a younger crowd.
It was cute nothing was super impressive or noteworthy
Food is great with fair to generous portions. Will return.
