Back Bay Social Club
Grilled cheese with tomato soup was great, clam chowder was good, wings smelt like feet it was god awful, and to top it off my husbands brisket had the same sauce as the wings so we paid for two meals we didn’t eat. We unfortunately were disappointed with this place. Definitely more of a drinks and snacks kinda vibe not an anniversary dinner that’s for sure.
This was the perfect location to reserve for the Patriots parade celebration. The food was very good. The wait staff was excellent! So glad we dined here.
Not worth the price
The service was incredible. Our server was so helpful and sweet.
Noisy, slightly better than average bar food, with cheerful, attentive waiters. Atmosphere in slight need of renovation. Limited entrees as you might expect. Decent cocktails. Turn down the music just a notch, fellas.
We had a very enjoyable lunch -- very good food, comfortable and relaxing ambiance and an outstanding waiter -- we will be return customers.
First off our waitress was phenomenal I’m only sorry I forgot her name! We ate in the bar area on a high top about 630. I took my college age kids to dinner after visiting the MFA.
Food was great, the menu has something for everyone with a twist on most items.
We loved the buffalo cauliflower appetizer! My daughter had the bolognese, my son had the burger & I had the southwest salad. We all loved our meals & they were ample portions so none of us finished.
The restaurant is in a great location near the Prudential Center.
My fiance and I enjoyed our meal before our NYE festivities at the Back Bay Social Club. The service was great and our food was awesome; large portions and more than enough leftovers.
this is the worst food I have eaten all year...the salad overdressed soggy, the meat rare tasted like fish the fries were cold the clam chowder was soupy with hard potatoes, overcharged on bill for cocktails..
Maybe it was an off night maybe the quality has declined. My steak frites salad was over dressed and dripping in vinegar. A colleague and client had the burger while it was good they weren’t overly impressed especially at $23.
Wonderful meal. Got to choose from brunch and lunch menu on a Saturday. Comfortable seating. Great service.
OUr waiter was outstanding. The food was not. Meh in the food department, and the place is crammed with people out partying on a Friday night. We could not hear ourselves speak, and we were in a corner. Again, the waiter made the night. OTherwise it was a disappointment.
Food was not very good for price and the wine was too expensive for this type of restaurant- would not return or recommend.
I ordered the "brisket mac and cheese", which came out as overly-sauced brisket slices and a small serving of just okay mac and cheese. Way too pricey and unsatisfying. My friend has the burger which he said was great, but was expensive. I had expected a more upscale place, and this vibe was more like TGIFridays or something.
It was really busy but the service was poor. We often caught our waiter wandering around doing nothing when we were actively trying to get more water or our bill for 30 min.
The food was also mediocre, my short rib grilled cheese was barely grilled and our entire table of 7 was underwhelmed.
Sat outside on a somewhat chilly night. Pedro was a wonderful server, very outgoing. Really nice touch to offer blankets to guests. Looking forward to returning. Thanks!
This is a local bar that serves food. Limited menu beyond pizza and burgers--although the salmon was good. Vibrant bar scene. Good service.
Great food...somewhat limited menu but it was diverse and food quality excellent
I'm visiting from a major city and I've been so delighted with this place I've eaten dinner here 2X. Buffalo Cauliflower is a great starter. Braised Short Ribs, Salmon, Salads were all delicious. Not massive, but good selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Energetic bar area, but club type seating for quiet conversation too. Wait staff was terrific.
Very noisy and hard to converse, but otherwise excellent
The service tended to be slow for a restaurant that was not even half full.
The noise level made conversation difficult even at a small table.
Back Bay Social Club is a great lunch spot on Boylston. My girlfriend and I were able to get a last minute reservation and we were given a great table out in front on the sidewalk- definitely request this if it's a nice day. We both got burgers- I opted for the short rib burger, while my girlfriend opted for the traditional offering. Both were really good and left us wanting more. Our server was nice and attentive, making sure we were all squared away throughout the meal. Check this place out for a casual lunch or a few afternoon drinks!
Fantastic burger, fresh oysters and generous pours in mixed drinks. We drove from Pa and it was for the Social Burger, well worth the drive!!
Solid American bar fare, very attentive service, and the option to sit outside right on Boylston street.
The atmosphere is nice. Grrrat friendly service.
The chicken and waffles were yummy. We also enjoyed the burgers
Good chowder, steak & dessert. Good vibes. Must check it out.
Disappointed. Came here for restaurant week and although the service was very good the food was very poor quality for the amount of money we spent here. Right across the street is eataly with x10 better food for much cheaper prices. Wish we tried somewhere else
Very helpful friendly staff
Came here for great oysters, stayed for the frose. The $4 chicken burger was amazing. Service is also good here - staff is very attentive and quick. . I will definitely be coming back for more.
Service was friendly but awkward. Waiter didn't seem very sure of themselves. Food was decent and the portion was really great for the price. Would come back for just drinks and/or dessert.
Lobster Role was Outstanding. Service was quick! Server attentive.
Very nice. Noise level was. Low enough to talk and the food was good quality.
I loved the outdoor seating but don't like the indoor vibe as much (it's a bit dingy)
Food was average but the mega mule was delicious.
We wanted a low key dinner and this was a great option. We did a sort of shared entree and appetizer and everything was good. The service was very nice and checked in regularly with water, etc.
No changing tables.
We were a party of 17 for lunch and the service was very good and the food was awesome. I would definitely plan our team lunches here from now on.
Came in on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded to my surprise. I ordered the avocado toast which had a delicious lemon parmesan asparagus salad on top. I ordered an egg over medium and they made it over easy but I wasn't too picky about it. Ambience is like a sports bar, but there was a large group next to me, so you could go either way. Next time I will try more things on the menu.
Our party of 6 was crammed into a small booth in the back of the building. The server was rude and not attentive. The 1$ oysters were great, but the rest of the food was nothing worth recommending.
