Back Bay Social Club
Everything was amazing! Great service and food! I had a big party of 20+ and a good time was had by all! Thanks!!
Unique food options. Fantastic drinks. Overall great experience.
April 15, 2019 meet up to watch daughter and daughter in law run marathon
We were on a break from our conference and made a last minute reservation and were seated on the patio. It was a beautiful day and was perfect to be outside. The Reuben was delicious!
Great spot for a casual drink, a quick bite to eat or anything in between. We invited customers to join us after an event at the Hynes Convention Center and it was perfect.
Great venue right in the heart of Boston on Boylston Street. Service was outstanding and brunch was delish! 👍👍
If you are looking for an average meal this is your place. It is basically bar food. Probably a good spot to watch a game as there are lots of TV's around. Overall, I would say our server was great, the food average and the location is great if you are in the Back Bay area.
Service was slow.
Food was just okay.
I wouldn't go back.
We were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive, checked on us often. Food was very good. Will def go back
Sadly this is a restaurant that can rely on heavy foot traffic. The Reuben is far from what you would expect if you have ever actually had a Reuben. Is the bread toasted, you may ask? ( and we did)..nope. Sent back to the toaster? 10 minutes later? Nope.
The Avocado and Turkey club. Seems like a straight forward sandwich...only there is no actual avocado on the sandwich. A scan of the fine print admonishes you for your careless assumptions..it’s an avocado spread.
Don’t bring your kids. Kiddie cup lids don’t fit, do be prepared to take a bath in Chocolate milk.
And when it is clear to the manager the experience has been disappointing...”Here is my card!” No thanks.
Came for brunch on a Saturday. Food was very good. Was a bit loud but still a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend overall.
Super noisy. Pub food. Great service but not a great dining experience. Good place for a beer with a friend.
They seated us early and were super friendly and accommodating!
I came out tonight with my cousin in hopes of cheering us up because my aunt (her great aunt) just died this week. I came to BBS before when I was surprised with a bday dinner and it was nice. Tonight was subpar, unfortunately; I had my bolognese sent back because it tasted a bit odd and was a poor pasta choice, the service was okay, and the prices are too high for no reason. It’s, definitely not the end of the world, but we were disappointed :(.
Food was awful and the server was very weird, constantly checking in on how we were, not taking notes for our order and forgetting things, stealing things from other tables.
We made a reservation only a few hours before dinner, but we’re glad we did since we heard them tell people they were no longer taking names for the night. The food, drinks, and service were good, but it was the type of place where you couldn’t hear the person you were eating with because it was loud.
Excellent service and food. Very happy with our night out.
Great food, great service, a little on the pricey side.
The food was top notch and we selected from the Dine Out Boston special menu. Service was fine but waiter was MIA a couple of times. No big deal though. Overall, the food was great and we would return to Back Bay Social Club again when dining in the Back Bay.
Came here for lunch for the lunch w my team the last day of our conference. The food was forgettable. I had the short rib sandwich which was bland with soggy bread. My fries were also cold. Everyone else agreed that their food was lackluster. Our server was great though.
It was an average experience. The server was good, but the food was lackluster. We also felt like we were being rushed out of the venue, which isn’t ideal.
Out of the eight people we were with, only one person liked their food! We all felt it was a waste of money. Most left a lot of food on their plate and usually the waiter would notice and ask if everything was all right and he didn't.
Unfortunately the service received was very poor. Food quality was mediocre for the price of the food. Meals were mixed up; bills were mixed up, overall a poor night. Saving grace for resturant in providing high quality of customer service was to provide some of the meals for free. If the entire bill was waived would have earned my service back while I am still here in Boston and/or upon my return in the future.
Open table shows an extensive gluten free menu but there isn’t one at this restaurant except salmon and beets, that taste like canned beets, atop raw kale.
The brisket taste like it was cooked too fast.
The maple chicken was good.
A glass shattered at our table and another had a chip on the rim.
We waited a long time for our checks. Not great for groups, as stated on open table.
I wouldn’t go back here. Curious why there are so many reviews at a 4 star level...
This was a great spot to meet friends. The menu had something for everyone. The food was good. Our waiter was outstanding.
Grilled cheese with tomato soup was great, clam chowder was good, wings smelt like feet it was god awful, and to top it off my husbands brisket had the same sauce as the wings so we paid for two meals we didn’t eat. We unfortunately were disappointed with this place. Definitely more of a drinks and snacks kinda vibe not an anniversary dinner that’s for sure.
This was the perfect location to reserve for the Patriots parade celebration. The food was very good. The wait staff was excellent! So glad we dined here.
Great brunch spot! Had a really fun social vibe and was amazing food.
Not worth the price
The service was incredible. Our server was so helpful and sweet.
Noisy, slightly better than average bar food, with cheerful, attentive waiters. Atmosphere in slight need of renovation. Limited entrees as you might expect. Decent cocktails. Turn down the music just a notch, fellas.
We had a very enjoyable lunch -- very good food, comfortable and relaxing ambiance and an outstanding waiter -- we will be return customers.
First off our waitress was phenomenal I’m only sorry I forgot her name! We ate in the bar area on a high top about 630. I took my college age kids to dinner after visiting the MFA.
Food was great, the menu has something for everyone with a twist on most items.
We loved the buffalo cauliflower appetizer! My daughter had the bolognese, my son had the burger & I had the southwest salad. We all loved our meals & they were ample portions so none of us finished.
The restaurant is in a great location near the Prudential Center.
My fiance and I enjoyed our meal before our NYE festivities at the Back Bay Social Club. The service was great and our food was awesome; large portions and more than enough leftovers.
this is the worst food I have eaten all year...the salad overdressed soggy, the meat rare tasted like fish the fries were cold the clam chowder was soupy with hard potatoes, overcharged on bill for cocktails..
Maybe it was an off night maybe the quality has declined. My steak frites salad was over dressed and dripping in vinegar. A colleague and client had the burger while it was good they weren’t overly impressed especially at $23.
Wonderful meal. Got to choose from brunch and lunch menu on a Saturday. Comfortable seating. Great service.
OUr waiter was outstanding. The food was not. Meh in the food department, and the place is crammed with people out partying on a Friday night. We could not hear ourselves speak, and we were in a corner. Again, the waiter made the night. OTherwise it was a disappointment.
Food was not very good for price and the wine was too expensive for this type of restaurant- would not return or recommend.
