My husband and I made a reservation for a belated Valentines Date. We wanted to eat lunch at Bacio. Little did we know that Bacio did not serve lunch at 1:00, and was still on their brunch menu. We actually ended up having a drink and an appetizer at Bacio, since we were so disappointed, and then ended up eating lunch at another restaurant close by.
I don’t know if we will return. We were excited for Italian, and this is not what we got.
We have been coming here for quite some time and usually enjoy our dining experience. This time, not as much. I ordered the Walleye and found the potato accompaniment rather dry, and no vegetables served with the meal. (I ordered something a la carte.) Our waitress was friendly and very helpful, but the hostess staff could have done a little better to assist when our reservation could not be located, rather than placing us at a table right by the kitchen. Honestly, I think for the prices charged, the meal could have been better.
Took my mom to lunch . Love Bacio. Comfortable seating, nice ambiance and not so noisy that you can't have a conversation. Great menu with something for everyone and great apps to share. The tomato basil soup with croutons was so delicious and perfect for a cold day and the heirloom grain salad was bright and yummy. Mom really enjoyed her walleye sandwich. Our server, Matt was fantastic. Warm, welcoming and attentive. Very pleasant and made us feel well cared for in every detail! Will be back for sure!
Awesome place for a quiet lunch or dinner. Never disappoints.
My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant multiple times. Like always, the food was great. However, the service was horrible. If it had been my first time at Bacio and I did not have experience with the restaurant, I would not go back. My wife and I will continue to eat there, but we will not sit in that server's section.
UPDATE: After I posted this review, a manager contacted me about my concerns. It is that type of service that makes Bacio the type of restaurant I where my wife and I like to eat. I still highly recommend Bacio, and we will definitely be back.
Waitress and service was awesome.
Great place, food was amazing, waitress was really nice and helpful in answering all our questions. We recommend, but a bit pricey
I visited Bacio to celebrate a friends birthday. I did mention that in the Open Table reservation notes, but not sure it got passed on to the server. I let her know, but it would’ve been nice if she already knew and said happy birthday when she came to the table or something. Otherwise service was great.
The food was excellent, once I got the correct order. I ordered a cheese omelet and they gave me a ham and cheese omelet . However, they were very nice about it, and made me the correct omelet and they didn't charge me. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much. the omelet was excellent! I will definitely return. I was happy to know that I was able to order brunch on Saturday.
Have never had a bad meal at Bacio's. The food was a great as always. Enjoyed meeting a friend over dinner.
Always great food and service.
I had another nice lunch at Bacio. Staff was very good and food was also. I will be back.
It was a great place for a family birthday dinner. Really enjoyed the decor and the s rice and food were right on. I will be back
Food was interesting and fresh. The menu is a bit overpriced, but the service was excellent and our server Bea made the night. Fun and knew the menu inside and out. Nice atmosphere, easy to get to, and overall positive experience.
We had memories of a great dining at the Bacio in the past, and were excited to go there again.
That was very disappointing :(
Fish was tasteless, fries looked, and tasted as if some leftovers were re- heated for us.
Rather expensive, and not good at all.
We had reservations and still waited 45 minutes to get our table. It appeared as though groups of 3-5 went through faster and we were seated at a 4 person table. In fact, I didn't even see any 2 person tables there. The bread was good but took 15 minutes to get there. The bacon wrapped scallops were tasty and came out quickly, the wine selection by the glass was pretty poor. I ordered the special Oscar (steak and crab with holindays sauce). It was terrific. Meat was flavored very well and the sauce was creamy and delicious. It seemed like some things were hot and some things were just over warm. My wife had great beef and then mostly cold French fries. Overall we had a good meal, but I would venture to other places next time.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities. I cannot pass up getting at least a cup of their tomato basil soup when I am there. It's the best I've ever had. The food was excellent as usual (the bread was particularly good this time) and the server did a nice job of providing service without hovering. We had a lovely time and will definitely return.
Beautiful atmosphere and great service. I was disappointed with my meal though. I ordered the Sea bass over Wasabli mashed potatoes and both were very dry and tasteless. For $36 I expected something a bit more outstanding.
It was great!
We had a wonderful lunch. Great food and service. Walleye was terrific
