About Baci Restaurant
Baci Ristorante offers diners a hint of old world Italian charm, with plush booths, white tablecloths, and gracious servers clad in tuxedos. While the decor is subtly modern, the menu is classic, celebrating Northern and Southern Italian cuisine. Specialties include classic pasta dishes, veal, and fresh seafood, with especially tempting daily specials offered by Executive Chef Domenico Alioto. In addition to the cuisine, the restaurant's charming and welcoming features--include an extensive wine list, elegant patio setting, and romantic main dining room--have made Baci a consistent favorite among locals for over 30 years.

Baci Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Excellent food and service!! Forgot how giant the New York steak was, I took half home! Pay the $9 to add a pasta dish to your entree, it’s a great deal! I’m definitely returning to try different dishes. Different staff members checked on us regularly. Staff was very attentive and prompt.
The food was great.
The major problem, is, they didn't acknowledged the reason we were there.
To celebrate, my brothers, birthday.
I requested a good table for his special day. We had a choice to be right next to the entrance door, or in the entrance to the second level, in the middle. So every one went around or by us all the time.
I think you get, I was let down.
I didn't remind the waiter. Because my brother would not have liked that.
Maybe I'll go back, there are so many good restaurants...
High quality food but also high prices. We liked this restaurant and the food was very good but there are so many great restaurants in San Diego I am not sure I would put this in my top ten. I had the Osso Buco which I really enjoyed but at 46 dollars it should have been super memorable and it was not. My husband had the seafood stew which he really enjoyed and was a much better value.
One of the best restaurant's in San Diego. One of the few restaurants left that you can still carry on a conversation with your dinner guests without yelling. Food was fantastic and the service ( especially Phillip and Tony) was impeccable. Attentive and cordial. Made you feel at home. Love Baci's!
The food was actually not bad but the portions were just too big and the time between courses took way too long. They also brought out the pasta before the appetizer and then the main course. So by the time the main course came, most of us could hardly eat because we were so full from the first course that was expanding in our bellies. I think in the years I've been eating in Italian restaurants, including eating at great small restaurants all over Italy, this was the first time I've ever had my pasta served before the appetizer.
Lovely meal, with our incredible service - but spoiled by a view of folks in T shirts, flip flops, shorts, sneakers ... kids tumbling around in another room... one little girl sitting on the floor picking her toes.
How does this happen when servers are in tuxedos and I am in evening wear?
This is the second visit where I have experienced this, and altho' "this is San Diego " I find it crazy to spend $150 or more per couple to dine with people that have no respect for their surroundings.... we won't return, even for the great food. Why the management can't set some sort of standard for attire is beyond me.
