Great Italian dinner.
We had a wonderful time. Food was outstanding. Jason(bartender)... terrific.
We had not been to Baci in probably 10 years. The locals have been saying that is pretty good so we thought we would give it a try. Was not disappointed. Food was good and so was the service. It was not busy on a Saturday night. Do not know what the service would have been like if they would have been busy as we only saw 3 servers. We got an an antipasto plate a cup of lobster bisque compliments of the chef which was good. We will dine there again.
Charged my credit card 3x for our meal. Then wrote down my credit card number to possibly charge again later? Told me they were having trouble with their credit card machine. ALSO... very loud guy in bar area yelling the F-word many times. I asked that someone talk to him, they said, they did talk to him, but he continued to tell and throw out bad language. We will not be back... and I’m worried about my credit card exposure.
Food was delicious and love the updates to decor! We love Baci and will come back as often as possible. It is pricey, but well worth it! The stuffed shells were so good!
Delmonico steak was a bit fatty. However, loved the lobster ravioli !
The entire staff works to make your dining PERFECT!
Much better this time. I left a pretty scathing review after our last visit so I wanted to update. The only reason we decided to return was because they were offering 1,000 points on Open Table and we wanted something quick and cheap and convenient. The service was much better this time, and even more notably, the food was much improved. The same side salad: night and day. Fresh lettuce, with radish and carrot and cucumber and other toppings that were nowhere to be seen last time. Lovely presentation. The pasta was good too (I had the carbonara). Though my husband had the spicy pasta, which I must say, was offensively spicy. I don't think most people would be able to tolerate that level of spice. They did warn him that it was "really spicy" though, so we can't really complain. Pleased to see such an improvement in about a month's time!
We were so horrified by the outside and entrance of the building we didn't even bother to have dinner. It's an extremely sketchy dark feeling. Not a place to have a dinner date or dinner either. I prefer being able to see who I'm eating with. Felt like a low end dead night club.
I don't always write negative reviews when I'm not impressed with a restaurant, but had to say something this time. This place has 4.5 stars according to OpenTable and TripAdvisor. That's a joke. Lesson learned: the reviews are relative to the area and the clientele. So, because there are no virtually other restaurants in the area, people think this is good.
The chef did send out an amuse-bouche (a free small bowl of lobster bisque to start), which we appreciated. From there it was downhill. The server came back about 15 minutes after we placed our orders, asking us to repeat them because she'd forgotten. Strike one. I asked for my salad dressing on the side. It came swimming in dressing. Strike two. Beneath all the dressing, the lettuce was sub-par anyway; I couldn't even eat it. I had asked for my pasta with the Diavolo sauce. Our server discouraged me from ordering that, saying it was too spicy. She explained that the chef simply adds crushed red pepper to the marinara sauce to make the Diavolo (I'm no chef, but is that really the only difference?!) and said she would bring me some crushed red pepper on the side (which you should get anyway, along with Parmesan .. there was no offer for either). She forgot the crushed red pepper until I was nearly finished eating. Strike three.
The food was so-so, not terrible but nothing special at all. I hate to be snooty, but anyone rating this 4.5 stars: I loath to see what you think is 2 or 3 stars. Blech!! Come on, let's keep OpenTable reviews accurate or they're no good to anyone!
