Food was bland, the (2) entrees we ordered. . . scampi and lasagna; and dessert was tasteless and very disappointing. For dessert we ordered the peanut butter cheese cake as our server said that was her favorite, don't order it. Won't be back. . .

This was my first time at this local restaurant. My server was informed, entertaining and engaging. I asked for his favorites and I ordered exactly what he recommended. The food was very good! The other entrees I saw being delivered looked wonderful too. I think this is the best restaurant experience, as far as the food quality, I have had out in the Blackhawk area.

Dinner before theater, relaxing not hurried.Four of us loved our meals and cocktails. It was a Saturday night quite busy but loved the energy. Already plan to go back!

The ambiance and service are very good but the food is not quite great. I ordered the ciopinno which seemed good at first, lots of fish, but the large amount of capers quickly overwhelmed the dish. My family member ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and it was incredibly salty.

I made my reservation thru open table and got a phone call from the manager to check about children in our party, and high or low table; I thought this was really smart and caring. He greeted us at the door and acknowledged our earlier conversation. Our party of 4 adults all ordered different entrees and we were all pleased with the quality of our meals. The server was personable and professional. We will definitely go back often.

The Greek salad was delicious, but the two entree dishes were unappealing to look at and greasy and bland to taste.

My gf had the blue cheese burger which she and I both agreed was very salty but the cook disputed with our host out loud and since the place was empty we heard everything. He was offended and continued to voice his displeasure aloud. I also found a small piece of something in my bite. Felt like a bone or piece of ceramic. Very odd. The only good thing was the veggie omelette but the potatoes that came with it was completely unseasoned, not even salt and pepper so I left them aside. The host explained profusely that the cook has used the same beef always. Perhaps it's time to check the Cook's attitude because it's clear to us now why the place was completely empty for lunch.

I really want this place to make it as it's so close/convenient. But the last few times the service was just so poor. The servers seem so disinterested and unfriendly. I went at 5:45 and we were the only two in there. My time is so precious and I hate wasting it. I mentioned twice to our server that it was my guests birthday. Nothing.

We got there and were seated right away. The server eventually made her way over offering us water and drinks, and said she'd be back to take our order. About 20 minutes later she came back and asked us, "Oh did I forget to take your order?" Uh yes. I asked if I could get a broiled chicken breast , no pasta. What I got was sliced up finger size pieces of broiled tasteless chicken, just tossed in a bowl, no garni, certainly no presentation. We also ordered the berry seasonal salad which was dripping in dressing. Lastly, we ordered the apple palette which was supposed to come with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and candied walnuts and caramel. No ice cream, the palette was very doughy and completely undercooked and soggy in the center and nearly cold. Not Ready for a 2nd chance. Better food and superior service at Black Bear Dinet.

Unfortunately, the AC must not have been functioning. It was extremely warm in there but cooler than the 104 degrees outside.

Food is always great! Service is nice but could be a bit more on the "attention to detail" side.

Still a "go to" spot for consistently well prepared and flavorful meals.

Sea bass not cooked. Had to send back. Everyone almost done when mine came back out. Expensive!
