Baci Cafe & Wine Bar - Healdsburg Ratings and Reviews
We celebrated two birthdays in the private dining room, (what a treat) with a party of 8, plus one infant. We brought our own wine which they happily open and poured for us. We had the Gamberetti (delicious, cooked perfect), Prosciutto, (amazingly fresh and delicious), Bruschetta, (was good but not my favorite) as appetizers. Caesar salad, (was good, but nothing special), French onion soup, (was outstanding) for our second course. The short ribs with polenta was a table favorite , the Al Forno , a special on the menu, which is fresh pasta stuffed with local crab, cheese and covered in a Lobster Sauce and more cheese, was the best crab pasta dish I have ever eaten. They brought dessert with a candle on it for our birthday people and we also had the mini gelato cones, which are super cute and fun to eat. Our service was outstanding from start to finish and we had a fabulous celebration and amazing food. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I was in the main dining room a few weeks ago with a large group and the only downfall is the main dining room can be very loud on a busy night. I had the Lobster ravioli's that night and they were delicious. Their fresh pasta is so soft and delicate, it makes the other ingredients in the dish so flavorful.
40th Anniversary made very special at Baci. Food phenomenal. The cioppino was the best I’ve ever had (and I’m well versed in that wonderful dish!) Managed to finish it which apparently most people don’t! Abondanza! If they have the onion soup on menu, just get it. Everything served, by the fantastic Ms Dre, was hot, flavorful and served in very reasonable time. The owners both work the tables and I haven’t felt as pampered at a restaurant in long time, a very long time!
We were in Healdsburg for my birthday . After reading numerous reviews I chose BACI. It was one of the best Italian meals I ever had. I had the delicious Al Fornio stuffed with crab and cheese . Great wine selection and beer per my husband . Ambiance was casual and cheery . I look forward to visiting it again .
Our two daughters had December birthdays (27th & 29th) and both decided they wanted Baci as their bday dinner. We were greated with a friendly smile & were promptly seated. Annie was our server & was very attentive & friendly. We asked for a few modifications on our meals & Annie made it happen. I ordered the veal Marsala but subbed chicken. It was very flavorful & the fresh mushrooms & artichoke hearts were delicious. My husband got the ciopinno which is a seasonal dish & should definitely be tried!!!!! Fresh crab, mussels, clams, & scallops! Yum!! The girls got a crab baked dish on the special menu, chicken parmigian, & pasta with lobster sauce. All of which we shared because it was so good. We finished with gillato cones & they brought out teramisu with 2 candles. So thoughtful & probably the best teramisu we have ever had! All in all it was a perfect evening! Can’t wait to go back.
My daughter and I are “regulars “ at Baci so, of course, that’ s where we chose to have our Christmas Eve dinner. Lisbeth is always there to greet diners with warmth and a hug. Shari enthusiastically checks in with every table to be sure all is well. And it always is. Cioppino is the winter special during crab season. As a native to western CA , I’ve had a lot of cioppino, but none matches Shari’s . Each portion is enough for two, but I don’t share! Thanks Baci for being a “Santa” to my daughter 😊
My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant for our one year dating anniversary, and I was just absolutely blown away. The food and service was wonderful. In fact, I would even say that the Gnocchi that my girlfriend ordered was someone of the best Italian food I have ever eaten.
Once again, Baci came through with a wonderful dinner using the best of the season. A winter salad featured kiwi, persimmon, baby greens. It was plenty large enough to share. And then the highly seasonal cioppino that Chef Shari has perfected . The seafood is fresh daily, the broth is rich, the portion is very large. The dish comes with toasted French bread for sopping in the broth. An incredible dish!
Once again Baci surpasses expectations.
This place is excellent... creative, diverse and authentically Italian food. Service is professional, fun and timely. Menu is creative and broad with many seasonal specials. A little pricey yet good value. Nice location in a fun, small city located in the heart of non-Napa, flourishing wine country. Worth a visit although no longer a 'secret'.
The restaurant was not up to its normal standard. We understand the fires have affected many and it can be a hardship. I would have liked to know if that was the reason for the “less than stellar” service, but hearing that the owners were on vacation leads me to believe the “B” team was in charge. Lack of service included no water refills until requested, and the glass being empty for awhile, no knifes brought with salads and no pepper offered with salads. I asked for a pepper shaker and that’s what was brought; had to ask for the salt, too. Simple etiquette! BTW- no distinction between salt & pepper shaker.
The food needed some help, too; pasta was mushy and lacked the normal amount of seafood. A big disappointment!
We had asked for a specific area of the restaurant, but they seated our guests, who arrived earlier than us in a crowded section. Difficult to hear each other due to the high volume, although we probably added to it as the night went on
A welcoming greeting, immediately seated, vibrant atmosphere, great Italian menu w/ lots of choice, 4 or 5 different salad options, 10+ pasta dishes, and the best lamb shank I have ever had-great wine list--highlighting area wines
attentive anticipatory service --with a big smile-
Very good restaurant-- 1/2 block north of Healdsburg Main square
Couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience.
Every dish was prepared perfectly, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent but not intrusive. I would say it is moderately expensive, but worth every penny. In fact, it is an absolute bargain considering the quality and freshness of the ingredients and the obvious time and effort involved in every dish. Overall, a wonderful dining experience, and we cannot wait to go back!
It was a very nice evening considering the circumstances that our two friends with us lost their house to the fire in Santa Rosa. The staff and the owner were so cordial and understanding. The salads , meals, deserts were outstanding. This is one of our favorite restaurants and has proven so on every one of our visits.
