Baci Cafe & Wine Bar - Healdsburg Ratings and Reviews
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Baci. We received many recommendations to visit this restaurant and am so glad we did. The food was delicious. We are avid foodies and particularly picky with Italian food. The Osso Buco my husband had was excellent and among the best we've had. My ravioli were light and delicious. Appreciated the advice from our waiter who was very helpful with suggestions. I look forward to visiting again when we return to Healdsburg!
Centrally located in town and convenient for parking. Noisy, so not the place for a romantic interlude, or even a business lunch meeting. Pricey and not really portions that feel filling but tasty enough food. Well presented and all was fresh and complimentarily combined.
I live in the area and always celebrate my birthday in the same restaurant. I decided to venture out this year and discovered Baci Café & Wine Bar. What a great find. From the moment I and my party entered we were greeted as if we were regulars. The food and service were very good also. The menu was extensive and it was easy to find something for everyone. The difficult part was deciding what to order. Everyone ordered a different dish and all were wonderful.
I would recommend Baci and I can hardly wait to go again.
We had a wonderful dinner at Baci. My husband's Petrole sole special was delicious. I had Carbonara because I love it so much. It was also delicious. I wish that we had room left for desert because the choices looked so good.
It was a little loud but didn't inhibit our conversation. We brought our own wine and the corkage was just $15 which is nice in wine country.
We would have loved a cocktail before dinner but this is beer and wine only. No problem.
We love this place, feel lucky they are in our town. The food was incredible and they were very accommodating to a guest we had that is on a very restricted diet. The rest of us gorged ourselves without feeling guilty as she was well taken care of. Reservations a must though.
Great place in Healdsburg. Unassuming and yet incredibly delicious. Sommelier made our night teaching us the difference in wine glasses (Cab vs. Pinot) - absolute kudos to him!
All food was spectacular. My husband had a tomato salad that I will not forget. All pasta melted in your mouth. We will be back!
Wow, this restaurant has been in our own back yard (local dining) and we had never experienced this treasure. We went for our 25th anniversary. The food was very good , the decore upscale and inviting and the staff friendly. We started with a green leafy, slivered apple, gorgonzola, balsamic vinegar salad which was out of this world! We went on a Saturday night, got right in at our reservation time. Only drawback was the noise level. Way too loud--guess because it's a big, open room. Next time we'll try it early on a week night.
A nice place and good find in "downtown" Healdsburg. Lacks a full bar but compensates with its wine list. We had a salad and opted for a pizza, which was perfect for two of us. Our server was not as attentive as we would like, but the restaurant was full on a Thursday evening - an indication of its popularity. Would definitely go back. In an area where you can take a nice stroll before or after dinner.
Baci is one of the best restaurants in Healdsburg. The food is consistently good, the service is always friendly and fast, and the owners are the best! Shari is the owner/chef and prepares some of the most delectable food you'll ever taste. His wife, Lisbeth, greets you at the door with a smile and a hug and has an uncanny ability of remembering people even if they only visit once a year. We continue to be impressed!
We moved to Sonoma County 8 months ago and have eaten at most of the restaurants in Hedsburg, how we waited so long to go to Baci is besides me. This should have been the 1st on our list. The food and wine at Baci are the best! The short ribs, scallop/shrimp risotto, and caprise salad are strong recommendations. Fun tip for groups: if you buy a bottle of wine at Baci, they allow complementary corkage on your 2nd bottle you bring from home. The restaurant was extremely busy when we were there, but there were 2 managers working very hard to support the waitstaff, which I love seeing. The female manager ever loaned her personal glasses to my husband so he could read the menu. If you're dining in Healdsburg, start at Baci!
We went to Baci on a strong recommendation from friends. We liked it but I wouldn't say loved it. One of the appetizer specials was Burrata with figs and melon. Well, it was mostly greens with a modest portion of burrata which was a disappointment. They should have named it "wild green salad with burrata". The main course of veal piccata was delicious, with a modest portion of very tender veal. The side of pasta with garlic and oil was great. My comments on the modest portions is coming from someone who rarely finishes her meal so it's saying something if i thought the portions were "modest." The service was outstanding and the vibe was lively and fun.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Baci, this is a must try in Healdsburg. The linguine and clams was so delicious with a very generous portion of fresh tasty clams. My husband loved his meal, lamb shank. These two dishes were off the menu, we also tried two specials, a fresh peach salad and a fresh peach dessert both absolutely amazing.
The staff was friendly and professional. I would highly re commend this ( sort of ) hidden gem.
The people who work at Baci are the friendliest and most helpful that I can recall encountering in a restaurant. While it is not a small restaurant, Baci's friendly staff imparts a family feeling to it. And, indeed, the chef and his wife are very present as host and hostess.
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in a longtime. Food was delicious, everyone loved every dish. And when we asked for more marinara sauce to dip our pizza crust in the chef came to our table to talk with us about it then went and wipped up the most amazing sauce fresh for us. We were impressed. The owners are the loveliest couple, the mix and mingle with patrons! Highly recommend this place!!!
Always a treat to dine at Baci. Family-owned, the service is attentive and the staff has excellent knowledge of the food being served. Not to be missed is an outstanding ravioli (filled with short ribs) entree with a wonderful sauce. Also the burrata appetizer is a personal favorite. Good selection of local wines, but you can bring your own for a nominal corkage charge.
This local place has excellent food variety and great Service. We as locals have not been going down town to eat because of the hassle of needing a reservation especially on the weekends but using open table for reservations and the excellent food at Baci has now made it our favorite place. We will definately take friends there that come from out of town.
We had some friends in town and made reservations for the wine room at Baci. There were 8 of us and we had an amazing time. Not only was it nice having such privacy in the wine room, the food and wine were amazing! The appetizers were fantastic. We asked the owner to put together a few trays of different appetizers. Each and every one was delicious. Our dinners rocked! I had the Osso Buco with Risotto. Perfect in every way. Everyone loved their dinners and the wine choices (sparkling wine and chardonnay with the appetizers and Pinot and Brunello with the entre) were perfect! Yum! On top of that, service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back!
This was our first visit to this local favorite. The menu has something for every Italian food lover. After sharing an excellent beet salad, my wife had the short ribs and I had the veal saltimbocca. The ribs were outstanding, however my veal was too thin and ended up coming across as dry despite the pool of light gravy. The mixed vegetables that came with each entree were very good. The service was very professional. Prices were on the high side and it was difficult to have a conversation due to the crowd noise. Next time I'll try their pasta.
What a fabulous meal our group of 6 had! The service was above and beyond. We were fortunate to eat in the Wine Room surrounded by bottles of wine from floor to ceiling. It was very, very quiet, compared to the rest of the restaurant which is alive and vibrant. The food was amazing. No complaints from anyone. In my opinion, the quality of the meats and fish is what turned a good meal into an outstanding one. Wish I lived closer so I could eat there again and again.
Being locals, we have eaten at Baci's occasionally over the past few years. We love the noisy, lively atmosphere, the food is fantastic and service has always been top notch. However, lately we have noticed that the servings have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up . I suppose this is to be expected in a town that has become VERY trendy worldwide. Going forward, we still plan to frequent Baci's but will probably take a chair at the bar and have an appetizer with a glass of wine. Cheers.
Always worry when I see a menu with this many items - how can they all be fresh and well prepared? Answer is they can't. Baci does a nice job but if menu were cut by 50% bet it would be significantly better. Salads were nicely done and not run of the mill. Most entrees passed muster (sole and veal picata) but pork cotoletta well beyond "well done" and the sides were all over done, particularly the ravioli. That's what happens when so many items - kitchen staff minding too many different pots. Has potential but right now I give it a generous B-.
