Baci Cafe & Wine Bar - Healdsburg
Baci's wine list is thoughtful and well-priced, and features many small artisan wineries. Baci's menu is creative and offers a large selection of dishes. It's focus and commitment to local fresh seasonal ingredients has made it one of our Sonoma County favorites.
Always a good time and great food!!!! Love the staff! Can tell the enjoy working there!
Procuitto and melon light appetizer followed by a very well prepared pasta carbonara make an excellent and authentic meal worthy of a big city like Philly or NYC. Service was excellent from the moment we entered.
Food was very authentic and delicious. Ambiance was warm, comfortable, yet reasonably stylish for an authentic Italian restaurant.
Great place. Where with a group of 7. Food and service were fabulous!
Great food !!!
Great service. Friendly staff.
Owners are wonderful.
Best risotto I have ever had. We all enjoyed our meal. Great food, ambiance and service.
Wonderful meal and very friendly. Chef comes to table and answered our menu questions. Food is outstanding.
We can always count on Baci for a delicious meal and wonderful service!
The food was excellent as was the service, thank you Frank! We had our favorite meal in Healdsburg at Baci.
Our 1st year Anniversary.. They gave complimentary champagne and tiramisu
We went for a special occasion, we were seated immediately in the quieter corner of a packed and noisy room. Service took a while to get started but ultimately was good and the comping of a very delicious tiramisu to celebrate our occasion was a very nice touch the salad, onion soup and veal dish were exceptional down to the accompanying vegetables. The chicken dish however was a bit of a miss, with a rubbery texture. The wine list was select but quite sufficient, and our Dry creek winery choices were extremely good.
Great atmosphere and activity! Food was excellent and service great!
This is a local gem in Healdsburg. Oftentimes it is filled with locals, but is also on the main tourist track. Wonderful service and food, it's just a lovely place to be.
Our server Sherry was outstanding the food amazing.it was such a pleasure to meet the chef who greeted all the guests dining. Great experience. We will be back !
Birthday dessert on the house. Fresh food.
We enjoyed our dinner at Baci. The waitstaff was attentive and personable. Food was delicious. I had a pasta dish and my husband had their veal parm. He said it was one of the best veal parms he has had. It was a very vibrant scene and quite loud in the restaurant. We got a seat towards the back which helped. Overall we enjoyed it and would highly recommend for yummy Italian food while in Sonoma.
Our group of 8 were greeted by the owner and immediately seated upon our timely arrival. Our food was as authentic as our waiter who was born in Rome. We departed with a grateful goodbuy as pleasant as our initial encounter. The experience was a perfect ending to a long sought get away with friends of 40 years.
Good food, great service, what dinning out should be, overpriced.
Food was excellent. Chef stopped by the table. Nice wine list. Server was the best of any of our dining experiences in Healdsburg.
Excellent service and fresh farm to table food. The owners are personally involved and their passion for the restaurant show thru. They are also very accommodative -- we had dinner this past Sunday and we had a relatively large reservation, but we need to be seated an hour earlier, which they were able to accommodate us with a bit of jugglery of table assignments. We had a very good time.
We love going to Baci! It is our go to place. Best Italian food!
The cuisine here truly is outstanding, and it is easy to see why the locals have such high praise for it. In fact, I'm surprised that Baci is not better known outside the confines of Healdsburg than it is. The food definitely makes the place. Many point to the service as well, which would indeed be excellent but for a bad case of more is better (it isn't). Having to tell four of the staff that a fifth is getting us water already is not overboard, it's ridiculous. The key to really excellent service is appearing instantly why I need something, and not at all when I don't. It's a hard thing for some restaurateurs to learn. Let me clear; they were all very nice and well-meaning, just trying too hard.
Ah, but the FOOD! All is (almost) forgiven. My wife and I both had specials--her a delectable Alaskan halibut in an exquisite sauce and I Dungeness crab with sautéed leeks and Mozzarella baked with pasta. This dish offered the perfect blend of subtle flavors in which the whole rose far above its individual parts.
For starters, we shared an heirloom tomato salad that also contained slivers of apple--wonderful contrast of texture and flavor. I have no idea what went into the dressing other than olive oil, but I would buy a case of it if I could.
The interior of the restaurant is clean, simple, and elegant. It is also very noisy--no hushed conversations here. I should also add that the dress is definitely more casual than one would expect of clients of an establishment of a this caliber . . . and expense. That said, you definitely get what you pay for.
Finally, we should note that this is the heart of Wine Country, and Baci's wine list is an interesting one--easy to find something to please without breaking the bank.
My grown children and I were celebrating my bday. The waiters were excellent. The food rich, spicy. 4 of us were served 7 mins. before the other 2. They ate when ours arrived but by then theirs was cooler. I know they were busy but I felt like we were hustled out rather than relaxing. We chose no dessert and left.
It’s always a delight dining at Baci’s.
We have our fav dishes and tables.
The staff are trained in the European manner
and there are plenty of them.
In our opinion, it’s one of the best restaurants in town.
Wonderful experience. All our food was prepared well. The taste was premium as the ingredients were. Thanks chef.
My wife and I went here for our 24th anniversary, second visit, and were blown away by the quality of the food as well as the attentiveness of the staff. If you have a gluten sensitivity, they have the best gluten-free pasta we have ever tried, and the chef sent us home with a bag. The table we were seated at in the front window alcove might have amplified the noise, but we could still hold a private conversation without much difficulty. Wine list is full of local wines by the glass or by the bottle, and they have an acceptable selection of local beers on tap. I tried the Al Forno pasta with dungness crab and lobster cream sauce, while my wife had the Pesce del Giorno, both off the specials menu, and both off the charts delicious. Make a reservation, as we observed a few people being turned away while we waited for our table to be readied, but this place is a Healdsburg must-do and always on our dinner rotation while visiting.
After a long day in the car we were a bit sorry to "waste" our reservation at Baci with just pizza and salad, but it was perfect. The tomatoes in the salad were clearly just off the vine, and the pizza was excellent. This is a beautiful restaurant for casual and elegant meals; I'm so glad Baci was recommended to us, and am happy to pass on the recommendation to others.
The service was the best ... the perfect balance between watchful oversight and staying out of our hair. Food was delicious - especially the veal milanese. The hostess (I believe she was the owner?) was great as well as the entire wait staff. A busy night, but we didn't feel rushed. Our little round table back by the pizza oven provided the panoramic view for us to take in the restaurant and to watch as everyone enjoyed their night.
Excellent food, impeccable service on a very busy night.
I have wanted to come here for months! I got sick and we had to postpone nine days. Our waiter asked if it was a special occasion and my husband told him the postpone birthday story. Either the waiter didn't hear him or late birthdays do not count. My husband had a beer and I had a glass of chardonnay, we ordered salad and brucetta, which both were delicious and perused the the menu a while. As I looked around the crowd was hugely diverse. Some folks were regulars and it seemed the wait staff tripped over each other to wait on them. Also if you were a big wine drinker you got lots of time and attention trying this and trying that. Our waiter was professional but only came to our table when necessary, basically per-functionary. My main entree came in a little rectangular pan and was one of the most bland cheesy pasta dishes I have ever tasted in my life, my husbands dish was veal that was a bit dry but passable. To change the tone of the evening we decided to ordered a bottle of champagne, which was the high point of our dinning. The dinning experience smacked of favoritism and potential profiling. I have told anyone who asked about our dining experience at Baci. Next time I want to spend hundreds of dollars and enjoy myself I'll pick a place that appreciates and wants my business as much as they want business from their regulars and other shall we say more affluent patrons.
Delicious food, very very loud (took away from our experience), waited a long time for our meal. Prices quite high. Luckily the food was divine so was worth it in the end - but would likely not return or recommend due to noise, slow service, high prices.
As always the food at Baci was fantastic and the service great as well with a good variety of food and wine options available. This was a special birthday dinner and they took fantastic care of us! The only drawback is that it can get noisy at times with large groups
Baci was highly recommended by a friend. Four of us dined on a Thursday evening. We were seated promptly as per our reservation, and served with water and menus. Thirty minutes later, our wine order was taken. We each had a salad, entree and dessert. The food was all very good, but our cheerful server was very overworked. We felt forgotten among her many tables. We received our check 2- 1/2 hours later; many tables turned over quicker despite arriving after us. We aren't anxious to return.
The food was superb and the service was excellent we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!
I understand now why this place is one of the favorite restaurant for people who live here year round
We had an outstanding dinner starting with a Cesare Salad and a beautiful and delicious Peach and Burratta Salad. Our entrées were Risotto~Fruitti di Mare and the Vitello Parmigiana.
The service was great and they made sure my food was gluten free. It was so nice to meet the chef and he shared a recipe with us.
We continue to return to Bacci because it serves consistently delicious food and the prices aren't astronomical! We are still raving about our last meal. Excellent halibut dish and lovely cavatelli with veal ragu. I believe this to be one of the best restaurants in Healdsburg
We enjoyed the food very much. Our server seemed to be over-stretched in the number of tables she was serving. We placed an order for a salad. When she brought us our salad, we placed our entree orders. Twice she came back to the table wanting to know if we were going to order anything else. I finally asked if she had forgotten our order. She looked at her order book and realized she had forgotten to turn in our entree order. She didn’t even apologize for the mistake.
Second time dining, chose it above all other Healdsburg restaurants for double birthday celebration. Excellent service, awesome menu variety, and overall, the perfect place to return again. Thank you, it was a memory maker
Consistently outstanding food, service and hospitality. Excellent energy and a favorite among locals. Intimate wine room for special occasions with parties of 8 - 10.
