My boyfriend and I went there to celebrate my birthday last night. We were told the specials and decided to get the ravioli of the day, which was four cheese. Upon getting our food we noticed bits of meat and shellfish Inside the ravioli. My boyfriend has a mild shellfish allergy and I don’t eat meat. The server was very apologetic and got us our correct plates, we were brought the lobster ravioli AGAIN! So the third time we ordered, the server said the ravioli bins have been mixed up in the back (lobster and four cheese) and now pulled from the menu. We ordered something different all together. The food was very good, service was great. But I don’t understand how a restaurant can make that mistake not once, but twice. Luckily, he only had a few bites, none containing lobster, but did experience symptoms. This is careless and dangerous to not know what you are serving to your guests.

Warm, friendly atmosphere. Food quality has greatly diminished since new owner. All 3 Veal dishes were tough, grisly and underseasoned. Salads OK. Stick with the pasta dishes.

Excellent desserts and service remain.

Made Open Table reservation early and were seated outside but at the worst table facing a wall. There were nicer tables open. The patio area is well worn but the restaurant interior looked nice. There is no view so indoor seating is fine. I chose a Tuscan wine off their reserve list but they did not have it so dropped back to a second choice. Started with their pear salad. A bit overdressed and too much gorgonzola but OK. I ordered the fish of the day, which was salmon with pasta and pesto sauce. Pesto was not the vibrant green fresh should be. But salmon was very nicely cooked. My wife did like her linguine with clams. Overall acceptable meal but not on par with the $110 bill (no dessert).

Baci is our favorite go to restaurant for celebrations... food is fabulous service always great and it’s right in our neighborhood!

We had the best date here. If we had been seated inside it would have been a different experience because it was so loud. But outside on the patio it was so romantic. All of the food was great. So surprised about the grilled calamari. It was delicious!!!!

Food tasted great, however could have been hotter. Server disappeared as soon as the meal was delivered by other staff.

Great food but we sat outside on a cold and rainy Hawaii evening. They should have had a heater on the patio. Also the is one 2 person table too many on the patio. It was extremely crowded which does not promote ambiance at all but it does induce needless stress.

The food was amazing and very well-priced. Service was not great- it took us over 15 min for someone to come take our drink order, and dinner in all took about 2 hours. Would come back, but not if I was very hungry and wanted to get served quickly.

The food is always great and the service is second to none. Gabe always does an outstanding job explaining the specials and providing impeccable service throughout. He is very knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable ensuring that everything is perfect.

We enjoy Baci. The service can sometimes be slow especially when they are busy but the lanai seating and atmosphere is lovely. We keep coming back.

Alas, the former owners, Bill and Reza, have retired, and this once gem of a restaurant is profoundly suffering their loss. I was served inedible saltimbocca -- thick, tough veal slices that I couldn't even cut with a sharp steak knife. (It used to be fork-tender and delicious.) It was topped with a gloppy sauce that tasted like it came out of a jar with "Heinz" on the label. Awful! For the first time in decades of dining at Baci I sent it back, virtually untouched. I will give them one more try -- but if things don't improve drastically, it's arivederci for good!

Everything was great! We enjoyed the wine, salad, food, and dessert. Our server was very knowledgeable and had good recommendations. Would come again!

Spectacular as always, the top notch food and service accompanied with the cozy Italian decor make for a beautiful night that whisks you away to a night in Italy

Service was poor. Couldn’t even get the servers attention to bring a second glass of wine or even a single smile the entire time we were there. The lobster ravioli was good.

Ambience could use a little work. Food was very good. Great service. Limited but nice wine list.

Tried this a second time and well worth the experience-food was great, waitstafff was excellent. Only downside was the female manager has a negative attitude, otherwise wonderful!

We had amazing service by Gianna second only to the phenomenal food! We were lucky to take a trip to Italy last spring and the taste of the food transported us right back. We will definitely be visiting regularly!!

The only hiccup was that we were seated 15 minutes after our reservation which made us extra hungry. Everything else was superb. The best meal I’ve ever had at Baci and probably because we did family sharing style.

We had a reservation and still waited 30 min to be seated. I think they overbook themselves and have a challenging time accomadating guests. I think better time management will fix this. This is why I only visit once every few months. But the food was delicious and waiter was friendly.

Caroline was an excellent server and her knowledge of the overall menu and wines as well as the specials was second to none! The service was fast and efficient and the food was to die for. We had the lobster ravioli and linguine vongole and it was easily our best meal while on Oahu! If we are ever back to that island, we will make the effort to seek out Baci Bistro again!

The cold shrimp appetizer was amazing, as well as the wine that we paired with it. However our entrees were quite disappointing. I had the truffle gnocchi with chicken; the chicken was dry and the gnocchi wasn’t the most flavorful. My husband had the chicken piccata; chicken dry as well and just didn’t taste good.

Another terrific dining event at Baci Bistro well in-line with previous excellent experiences. Sat outdoors for the first time and had a great table at the far end of the outdoor seating/tent. Cool evening, but comfortable and protected from the breezes. Had Gabe as our server [again]providing his usual excellent service and dining recommendations from vino, appetizers, specials, and desserts.

As always we had another enjoyable dinner at Baci.

Enjoyed authentic Italian food, excellent Ravioli and sauce and good Tutti Mare. Our server was responsive and knowledgeable, it did take a while for dessert but all in all would definitely recommend and will return.

When we arrived, the owner/manager said that reservations made through Open Table got the leftover seats, so we were not able to sit inside of the restaurant, even though there was only one table with patrons. We sat outside. We were a bit “put off” by the reference of leftover seats, as it made us feel as if we were 2nd class reservations! We had made the reservations over a week ago!

Good place but all veal options sold out and we had an 8:00 pm reservation.

I love a good Italian restaurant but was disappointed by this one. We arrived for dinner at 7:30 and were promptly told that all but 1 of their 5 veal dishes were sold out. (Seems strange that they had enough veal to make saltimbocca but didn't have enough to make marsala.) Our waitress was kind of haughty and inattentive. The food was adequate but not especially tasty and definitely not worth the price.

2nd time we tried this place, loved it the first time and this time was equally perfect. Food and service top notch, prices very reasonable. We will definitely be dining here again.

Great dining experience.

Great food. Great value. Only complaint was the wind blasting us in the face each time the door opened. A better seat would have made it an even better dining experience. Overall, great for the food, value, service. We'd go there again and recommend to others.

On vacation. This restaurant popped up as a recommendation an we were very happy we went. The food was excellent quality prepared with many locally sourced ingredients and very tasty. Our server, an older woman, was very friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a large assortment of daily specials in every plate category. I would say that if you're in Kailua and hungry....go here!

Good food and service. Fruit flies are annoying. Place needs a good scrub. Windows and sills are filthy.

Always consistent. Everything flavor filled! Friendly wait staff. Signature beet salad, special sea bass, truffled gnocchi, luscious Baci Veal. Da Vinci Chianti was memorable. Gelato like Roma’s. Pricey, but memorable.

We had a good time there. Food was good. Good service. Will come again!

I've been going to Baci's for years. Something seems wrong. Last time it took over an hour to be served. Everything was unusually slow. We finished a bottle of wine before the first food arrived. No explanation, no apology. This time, the service was somewhat better, but overall it was disappointing. I used to really enjoy Baci's and went there a couple of times per month, certainly for all special occasions, but it may be time to move on. There is a lot of competition, but we don't have that many restaurants in Kailua that are really exceptional like Baci's has been.
