About Baci Bistro
Kailua"s popular Baci Bistro serves "European cuisine with an Italian flair". While chef Reza creates mouthwatering dishes, his partner, Bill, greets diners at the door while the whole staff contributes to the friendly, family flavor of the restaurant. Baci Bistro is rather intimate, with an old-world atmosphere reminiscent of Rome and Florence. Guest have the option of dining inside with its atrium setting, on the covered lanai, or at the food bar where they can sit and watch Chef Reza work his culinary magic.

Baci Bistro Ratings and Reviews
It is always best to make a reservation but it was super easy using opentable. It rained and we sat outside under the canopy and didn't get wet. The food is great they aren't afraid to season their dishes which is my biggest problems with Italian restaurants they are afraid of the flavors.
Fantastic experience! Best italian food we have ever had. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. Only negative was that there were no women working there - or at least no women visibly working there. Would have like to have seen female servers, too.
After enjoy some banter with our waitress who had a wonderful sense of humor my friend and I enjoyed a couple of cocktails. Everything was great with our excellent salads, but the main course of my dinner was disappointing. I ordered Vitello alla Baci and it was just not good. The veal itself was tough, leather in texture and had areas of gristle. The sauce was uninspiring and bland. The food did not measure up to the really good service. It's too bad, because I really wanted to like this place.
One of the Best Italian restaurants in Hawaii. Food and service are both excellent. Went with a friend 2 weekends ago for dinner. Liked it so much that I went back last Sunday. They are consistently excellent in their food and service. Highly recommend this place.
Our favorite Italian restaurant by far, anywhere, and always worth the drive over the Pali from Town. The food is delicious, the wine adequate, the outdoor seating charming, the cocktails delicious and the prices perfectly reasonable. When the Owner is greeting customers at the entrance, he always recognizes us and seats us himself. We hope that both he and the chef(s) continue as they are indefinitely, and we would certainly pay annual increased-cost-of-doing-business prices as long as they are open!
Very consistent food and all of it is good. Professional servers and perfectly timed transitions of food. Staff works well together so the whole experience is memorable. Started w Brucetta and Caesar Salad. Great and a lot of food. I had grilled Salmon with pasta. Wow, so good. Worth a visit.
Service was slow, got our cocktails before we even got water or bread. Waiter was a little odd. Had finished my first round and asked if he could make me a tequila and tonic. Rather than say yes or anything of that nature he slowly turns and whispers "tequila tonic " to himself. He didn't even inquire if my wife wanted another round before he ran off.
We were seated outside in a crowded section (no option given on whether we wanted outside or inside) next to a planter box with a dying fern. The waiter was attentive and informative on the specials and very professional. For starters my husband ordered the mushroom soup which was a special and it was a greenish color, with no flavor. I ordered the lobster ravioli in a cream sauce. The sauce was so watery it splashed in the bowl it was served. No flavor, bland, bland. My husband had the gnocchi special, like eating thick glue. Terrible food for very special occasion.
Went here for New Year's Eve. This is my second time and the food is always great. It is hard to get a table so you need to make reservations early. This is a friendly place where there is a local crowd as well as tourists. Bottom line is that this is one of best food values not just in Kailua but on the island.
You need to dress light if you're eating at Baci. There is no a/c, because the front door is kept open. The owner refused to open the back door EVEN A LITTLE, despite customer requests and a dining room full of sweating guests. The food is pretty good, and our waiter was great! It's a shame... the extreme discomfort of sweating through our meal made it difficult to enjoy the food. Not a good experience at all!
I reviewed this restaurant a few months ago after my first visit. Considering my experience during my 2nd visit, I would not change a word of my original review. Simply an outstanding place and a pleasure to dine here. I already have a 3rd reservation lined up for 2 weeks from now.
We went for Xmas dinner. The Branzino was the best fish I ever ate.
The lamb was also superb! These I believe were Xmas specials.
Love this place! The food is so awesome!
Chad our waiter was so personable, attentive and professional at the same time. Just great service!
Had the salmon salad at this Italian restaurant and the fish was moist, flavorful and even pleasantly crispy on the outside. For me, its been the best prepared salmon I have tasted. The Alfredo linguine had a lot of ingredients and was richly sauced. Sausage rigatoni flavorful, rich and satisfying. Server very friendly and personable. Overall, a beautiful, tasty and quaint restaurant that did not disappoint anyone. Bring coins for the metered parking lot and take the back entrance into the restaurant from the lot.
