About Baci Bistro
Kailua"s popular Baci Bistro serves "European cuisine with an Italian flair". While chef Reza creates mouthwatering dishes, his partner, Bill, greets diners at the door while the whole staff contributes to the friendly, family flavor of the restaurant. Baci Bistro is rather intimate, with an old-world atmosphere reminiscent of Rome and Florence. Guest have the option of dining inside with its atrium setting, on the covered lanai, or at the food bar where they can sit and watch Chef Reza work his culinary magic.

Baci Bistro Ratings and Reviews
My roommate and I have lived in Kailua 6 months now and finally tried this place out. We absolutely loved it! We were seated at an outdoor table on the adorable patio and were promptly greeted with bread and water. Our server took our drink order and read us the specials and we loved our selections of the burrata, truffle gnocchi and chicken piccata. The wine list allowed us to properly dine and even finish with an italian coffee. We will absolutely be back. 10/10 would recommend.
Once again Baci has lived up to it's reputation. Fabulous food, great service, nice atmosphere and wonderful desserts...although we always get the cheesecake. We have never has a so-so meal here. The scallops were wonderful. Although I wish there had been more than 3.
Baci is a really nice venue. It was super noisy but to be expected because of the setting. It seemed as though we were somewhat rushed, which was unnecessary. The waiter warmed up after a while when he realized that we were local and just wanted to chill a bit. We wanted to visit without the rush.
The place was really nice and clean. When we first walked in nobody was there to great us and they were other guest also wondering where to go or who to talk to to get a table. I had made a reservation so out table was ready right away that is a plus. The food was amazing, had a lot of wine selections and the service was nice and attentive. They discounted our dessert because it was my birthday so that made it a even better experience.
It was a very busy Friday night so we did not get seated until about 8pm. We received bread and water right away but it took quite awhile to receive menus from our waiter. I ordered my favorite pasta dish-lobster ravioli with cream sauce which is usually delicious but my sauce was very soupy. My husband had the spinach ravioli special which was excellent. It was also very loud inside this particular evening. Still one of my favorite places in Kailua so we will be back again. Maybe this was just an off night.
We had a really nice meal here. My husband had the lamb shank-he said he loved it, very tender. I had the truffle gnocchi. Both meals were on the specials menu. We sat on the patio, very quiet, nice ambiance. We had dessert too-tiramusu and cheesecake. Also superb. We just had a great time and the food and service were terrific.
We dine at Bachi about 4 times a year as it stretches our budget a bit. Every time we go it impresses us. It is definitely the best restaurant in Kailua/ Kaneohe hands down. Once again it did not disappoint. Every item from pre-dinner drinks to appetizers (brochette) , soup, main course (lamb and salmon), and dessert (Marscapone cheesecake and Espresso gellato) was just perfect. It is hard to get everything right, and Bachi seems to get it right every time. The service is very good, the atmosphere relaxed. Inside and outdoor seating is a little crowded and indoors can be noisy depending where you are seated, but more often than not it is not a problem, and I am sensitive to noise.
Always fabulous food and service from Bryan was top notch. I made a reservation and requested outside but it was busy so we were seated at a table right near the hostess area. That was not fun. All in all Baci is one of the most consistent and best places to eat in Kailua!!
The food, service and atmosphere was pretty good. It's a cute restaurant the food was beautiful. Sadly, I wouldn't go back however for two reasons; it was hot, and there were a bunch of gnats and mosquitos. They did have air conditioning, so I don't understand why it was so warm. To be honest, I'm particular irritated by those things. Maybe because they keep the door open, so critters can wander in.
Very disappointing evening for us, especially since we made reservations a month ago. We were seated outside, which was not comfortable for a few in my party, including my 90 year father. We waited for 15 minutes before water was brought to the table and the waiter took our drink order. Then, a full glass of water was spilled on my cousin by the staff, necessitating a change in the table linens. During the meal, the water glasses were not filled often, and we had to ask for more water several times. Considering the humidity and heat, this was annoying. The meal took over two hours, and many of us didn't want dessert at the end. We just wanted to leave. One favorable note, the food was good and reasonably priced. However, we probably will not make the 40 min trip to this restaurant during future visits to Honolulu. This is the first time I have written a negative review.
Our waiter gave excellent suggestions! The lobster ravioli was so delicious and really tasted homemade! The beet salad that was a special was very refreshing and our waiters recommendation of the cheesecake was superb! Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes!
