Wonderful food and great service!!!
Always great food and service in a great atmosphere downtown!
Wonderful food, great service and a very energetic crowd.
Excellent! Love the outside dining area, very cozy, space is very clean and you can tell they take pride in their food and service. Highly recommend.
We recently discovered Baci for Sunday brunch and have returned three times since! The food is delicious - the huevos rancheros are one of my favorites and my fiance loves the crab benedict. I tried the soup of the day yesterday and it was AMAZING! The service is excellent and bottomless mimosas are an added bonus ;)
Cute place, great location, but we were disappointed with the service. It was a busy evening and clearly the staff was overstretched. The waiter would disappear for 20 mins at a time and food delivery was very slow. The menu is large and almost too varied. The food itself was OK, and they were kind enough to take one dish off the check when we didn't like it. Overall, we might give it another chance but unfortunately Baci didn't give us a great first impression.
My favorite place in downtown Pleasanton - never disappoints. Great selection (I’m very picky), amazing food, delicious wine (I got a sample because I couldn’t decide), fairly large portions (good value), genuine service (I have high expectations) and a lovely atmosphere.
was REALLY disappointed in the fish that i ordered...absolutely tasteless..as well as the risoto..plus that was a big number for that particular entree...had lunch there a week prior and it was good..won't go back for dinner that's for sure
Great neighborhood restaurant - service is always excellent. Outside is the best. Food is consistently good.
Nice ambiance and great service. Food is ok. I guess I shouldn't order a salad at an italian restaurant. My Greek salad was a pile of lettuce and some olives sprinkled about. My friend's French Toast looked very good.
The best review I can give a restaurant is that, "We will be back"!!! Really enjoyed ourselves.
Had to take a table outside where it was cold. Said they didn’t have any inside seating and that it was reserved for people who called to reserve a table. I reserved my table 3 weeks ago on Opentable and they wouldn’t let us move inside.
My wife and I love coming to Baci though the experience is often inconsistent. That said, it’s good enough to bring us back on a regular basis and when the experience is good, as with our most recent visit, it’s very good. Had to wait longer than I would have liked for our reservation, but the service was fair to good and the food was outstanding.
Baci was a hit or miss kind of evening. Service was slow. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, yet it took the waiter 15 minutes after we were seated to come and ask if we wanted something to drink. Bread did not arrive for 20 minutes. Food was hit or miss. The blackened fish was very good, yet the bed of risotto on which it sat was poor, really just rice, not risotto at all. The bread pudding was burnt on the bottom. There are better choices in Pleasanton.
Always a great experience and the food is amazing. My 2 little ones love the outdoor seating with the blankets and warmers. Always a great time.
Excellent a favorite of ours. Thank you Ali and to your daughter too. You are special in our book
Food-The food here is not bad but not that great either. The portion of food is big compared to other restaurants which is a plus. Pasta is good but not the al dente that I want. Its ok place.
Place- The place itself needs updating. I was thinking that the original bricks underneath the walls might be a better design for the place. The entrance looks old. Paintings makes it old as well. It needs brightening up and updating the whole restaurant design.
Service- the service is good. Waiter is very helpful even though he’s not fluent with English. He provided us with suggestions and information on the menu.
Price- The price seems higher than before. I just went to an Italian restaurant the day before in Danville and comparing the linguini with clams that I order in Danville and the angel hair pasta with jumbo shrimp that I ordered and the rest of their pasta in their menu, their pasta prices are expensive. If I were to choose. I will go to Danville’s Locanda Ravello for their pasta than go here. Locanda Ravello’s pasta is better and cheaper and also have a good portion, with service outstanding.
I was so disappointed in the service. Seemed to be waiting to be waited/served. Small plate orders were slow being served, very slow. Ordered one entree and after waiting a long long time finally gained the attention of our server, who denied hearing the order, explaining, he was “allowing us to have time to talk” , which was ludicrous, since the restaurant was crowded and our table, a table for four, was definitely needed. (We were only two).
I will consider before I return to Baci’s.
Service was indifferent
Really enjoyed this place. Quite small and intimate, we enjoyed Sunday brunch with friends. Had a great Bloody Mary, extensive wine list and decent selection of single malts; something for everyone. Food was excellent and service spot on.
Cozy little spot in a very competitive location.
We were the first diners to arrive for lunch @ 11:45am. By noon we still had not been acknowledged by a server and had to get up and hunt for someone to serve us. (And we were still the only table seated at that time.) The service continued to be very slow for the entire meal. The food was OK.
Always great food and service at Baci! Nice to visit in winter and summer. A local gem
Everyone really enjoyed there meals and the drinks! Great modern Italian menu. Options for everyone
Went on NYE, the restaurant was crowded, our table was literally 3 inches from the next. They crammed as many people in this place as they possible could. The menu was not accurate to what they displayed online. The food was just okay, pretty bland. I’m sure the restaurant vibe and food are better on non holidays.
Four of us had New Year’s eve dinner at Baci. Each of us had a different entrée, and we were all very happy with our meal.
Great ambience. Wonderful service by Ignacio. Delicious food. Big variety menu
The food was absolutely amazing! We didn’t like the little table by the kitchen and bathroom so the gentleman was quick to find us one right in the window. Was a great spot. Will definitely go back. One of the best restaurant meals I’ve had in a long time.
The food here is only fair- very overpriced for what we got. The chicken was way overcooked and the sauce for the pasta tasted like it had been prepared a while ago and left to sit on the plate while the other orders were prepared. No one in my party finished their meals, and we all had something different. The dining room was very busy, and very noisy. Maybe this establishment is fine for a very casual dinner, but definitely not any sort of special occasion. We felt rather ignored for much of the meal, and sat around for quite a while with our finished plates. Maybe they were short staffed that night. Overall, I don't think we'll be back.
My blackened chicken salad with avocado was good. However other members of my party were non-plussed by their selections (chicken parmesan, etc.). My main critique was the service . . . it was VERY slow. And the wait persons seemed to do everything possible to avoid making eye contact with us. Perhaps they were embarrassed by the slowness of the food presentation? Just a quick update would have done wonders.
This restaurant is absolutely excellent! We used to go to Fontina's, but now that it's closed, we go to Baci. One of the main reasons is that they have the cooks from Fontina's working at Baci. Rodrigo, in particular. Excellent food, excellent wine, appetizers, noise level is a little loud but it's nice. Will definitely be visiting a lot more. Thank you.
Christmas Eve and 5:15 reservation made approx 2 - 3 weeks ahead. We were greeted with “your reservation is for one hour and 15 minutes only as we are busy and another party has your table after that time.” I was so put off by that type of greeting. Either inform your patrons at the time the reservation is made or find another way but I was incredibly embarrassed that it was said to our party of 4 standing there at check in. I get it but also found it interesting that we were surrounded by 3 empty tables for about the last 30 minutes+ of our meal with no guests waiting to be seated as we left. Food was good, service was fast although the servers looked pretty beat. Way too many tables in there so hard to maneuver and one bathroom stall for the entire restaurant (both genders). I find that very odd in a restaurant this size.
This has become our go to restaurant for its consistency, ambiance, and service.
Today was no exception... Good service, and good food ...
Brought my family to have a late lunch on CHRISTMAS eve. We all choose differently from the menu.. I had the spaghetti Bolognese , my wife the Jumbo Prawn Scampi, my son the Chicken Parmigiana, and my daughter a salad with Salmon.. We all enjoyed each of our meals... The Service was good and we all had a great time..
Would always recommend this restaurant for lunch, dinner and special occasions...
Salad and calamari were great. Main meal was bland although looked delicious. For the price, roughly $35 per entree, you expect delicious.
Overall the food was good, however, the server was not very friendly or attentive.
Great service, food, and ambience. Perfect little home town restaurant.
Food was great, recommendations were fabulous and the service was fantastic.
Owner and waitress were accommodating for my wife, baby and I on my wife's birthday. We chose the place after walking by many times and seeing the place had a nice ambiance and energy. We don't regret going, but do think we will wait until it warms up in the spring/summer to visit the outside seating. The food overall was adequate, I had the ribeye while my wife had the steak spaghetti. The food wasn't overpriced but it wasn't cheap either. We appreciate their assistance with the birthday celebration and with making sure we were welcomed with a baby, so we will return again in the future.
Excellent experience. Kyle was our waiter and he was very good. Margaritas are the best I have had. The grilled artichoke was a great appetizer to compliment our wine and the meals were excellent as well. Two of us had Rack of Lamb which was cooked perfectly and not gamey at all and two had the Halibut.
Highly recommend you try Baci if you have not already!
Sorry, this used to be a favorite spot for me. Been here 2 times this week and disappointed both times. I understand the holidays but the food was not up to par.
Great service great food you feel like your at home every time!
