Bacco Ristorante - Michigan
I thought things were a little pricy but excellent service and food
Make no mistake, Bacco is expensive, but unlike other high-end restaurants in metro Detroit, you will actually leave here full. The Tour of Italy option is a good value for a lot of great food. Bacco does not feel like a Bravo, Maggianos, or other cookie cutter, chain style, Italian food. The owner and chef actually spends time working in the restaurant, and it shows. Wine is a bit expensive, though. The low end is $12-$15 per glass.
Incredible food as always. Would
not as good as the old days, prices are up, food portions shrunk and we were given our bill while eating dessert. not much value for $100--sort of reminded me of coney island service.
Lively server who was friendly and efficient, food was delicious, and romantic atmosphere.
Valentine’s Day so very full and noisy. BUT food is totally worth it. Like eating in Italy!!
Must be one of the best Italian food restaurants I've eaten at , food , services , wine list , whisky ,bourbon list fabulous.
Our go to whenever we are in town .
Maybe. It was overpriced for the flavor of food. Food was cold. Service was great.
Friday night full of kids at 7:30pm! Service was non-existant as they were too busy with large tables. One even brought in their own pizza! It’s gone down hill.......a shame
The food was excellent and our waiter, Elvis, was superb!
Let your server know if you’re celebrating with a meal. Something special will happen! My companion and I chose from the regional menu, a three-course meal that changes monthly with a different Italian region featured. Though I cannot say I loved the goulash, it was indeed different, and ultimately that’s what I was going for.
Celebrating publishing of a book
We took acouple here to celebrate a birthday. We had a reservation so we were sat instantly. They put us at a table near the bathroom and the kitchen and we politely asked for another table away from a busy spot as one of our guests is pregnant and they obliged. Our waiter was nice and friendly. However, a gentleman in a suit and with white hair kept coming to our table to “check on us”. What we came to realize was that we had overstayed our welcome at our table. This is apparently “fine dining “ but this guy was a manager wanted us to get up from the table. At the one hour and 30 minute mark( be it we got our dishes at the one hour mark), he told us that other diners are waiting for a table and it was time for us to leave. Is this real life? I have been dining at restaurants be fine casual or whatever type of dining for 34 years I have never been this disrespected. This manager needs to learn to respect his patrons or he will lose a lot of business. You never ask paying customers to leave. We told him we were unhappy with his attitude and he told us that other diners are waiting at the bar and want to eat at our table. When we expressed displeasure, he became extremely abrasive and ignored us. Regardless, there was a six top that was left open the entire night and he could not put them there? Absolutely disgusting behavior I would recommend you think hard about going here for dinner if you want to be treated poorly even after spending $150 or more. They should be embarrassed and I’ll never be back.
disappointed in the service. waitress kept bugging us to order when we were enjoying drinks and hadn't even opened the menu yet. expected more from a restaurant of that caliber. wine was wonderful and food was great though. would return but would ask for different server.
We get together here with some good friends at least a couple times a year. It is always outstanding. One of my favorite things is their willingness to split a dish into four servings. We usually end up ordering multiple appetizers and two maid dishes and splitting everything. Never disappointed. Great staff, great location, great experience everytime.
Superb ethnic Italian kitchen and service. Worth the trip.
Do look at the monthly Italian regional cuisine offerings on a separate menu. You will not be disappointed!
The wait staff was attentive. Food was delicious.
Had high expectations and everything was mediocre to say the least food was actually bad
Will never again
It was my partner 70th birthday and they knew it
Oh well as I said never again
Other than the noise level, this restaurant is excellent
We had dinner to celebrate a 40th birthday on Friday night. Made a reservation through open table, which was so easy, and the table was ready for us when we arrived. The dinner was delicious in every regard. Service was the most attentive I think I have ever experienced. I had the Italian salad which was chopped and incredibly delicious – I kept wanting more and more of it. My friend had a salad which was made from shaved brussels sprouts – beautifully presented and he stated it was incredibly delicious and flavorful with unexpected taste surprises that pleased his palate.
I also had the minestrone soup which I remembered from a previous visit was so flavorful and tasty, and it did not disappoint my fond memory with its deliciousness. I ordered the gnocchi as my main course, and they were the most buttery soft tender and flavorful gnocchi I have ever had.
The owner was present and made unobtrusive passes through the dining room every so often to surreptitiously check the tables and make sure that everything was 100% on point. I cannot wait for the next special occasion when we can return. Who am I kidding? I might just have to take myself there for the chopped Italian salad and minestrone soup for lunch one day!
One of my favorite places in town for dinner! Agata always makes it a special night!
Great restaurant I visit every time I am in the Southfield area.
Consistently great restaurant. We are lucky to have this restaurant pretty close to us. Great pasta, salads, veal and service.
Everything was excellent. Can’t wait to come again.
We went there for NYE. It was just okay. I was expecting a much better experience for how highly rated this restaurant is. We shared the octopus appetizer and that was good. I had the brussel sprouts salad and it was just okay, bland and dressed to lightly. We shared the 18oz ribeye as it was listed for 2. It was probably one of the least tender steaks we have had in a long time. The fat along the side was not rendered and raw. Just disappointing. We did not complain to the staff as we were with another couple and did not want to be "that couple" so we just ate it. And the most disappointing was the dessert. We opted to share the chocolate pot de crème. What a mistake. It was literally in a hollowed-out egg shell. SO tiny and flipping expensive for the amount it was, though it was the most tasty dish we had all night. We each had one small bite and it was gone. We won't be back.
Loved the food and service. Music was kinda weird pop but it was NYE. Repeated songs while we were still there. 100% would go back again everything else was perfect.
I've been to Bacco on 3 separate occasions and enjoyed myself each time. It was a fantastic date spot for New Year's Eve! The food was incredible, as was the service. I will certainly be returning!
Service was good. Food overpriced. Place needs updating and a new menue selection. Pasta to salty, fish fishey, octapus not edible.
Much too loud for a special occasion dinner.
$12 for a small, abysmal salad made with 4 slices of tasteless, mealy tomatoes (must have been frozen), ice cold faro (which is just cracked wheat), exactly 4 small cubes of beets, and huge chunks of green onion. With an overpriced bowl of tomato soup at $8, brought my bill to $25 with tax and tip. Very disappointed. Will never return.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and our server, Lindey was great!
Had my work team's holiday lunch here and was very happy with the prompt and friendly service, the quality and price of the food and the ambiance of the restaurant. They were very busy and I expected wait times to be longer than usual but timing was great throughout the meal. Would definitely recommend as not many restaurants in the area run this smoothly and keep very high quality standards.
Food was good (I had the chicken ravioli) but nothing SUPERB, especially for the price.
Bacco always guarantees great food! It never disappoints us. We love it there!
Wonderful food and service. It was very loud however so it was hard to have a conversation with ease.
Service was excellent, food very nice but not superb for the cost, noise level in restaurant very high which made it challenging to have a table conversation
