Professional, courteous staff. Waiter was helpful with suggestions. Food of great portions and tasty.
The service was slow but the food was worth the wait. The restaurant is nice and very lively. Love the dinning chairs, very comfortable. My only complaint is I ordered a glass of red wine and waitress poured about 3 ounces and I was charged $14! For that price she at least could have poured 6 ounces ! I’m spite of this, we still enjoyed the experience.
The food was delicious. The only negative was that the creme brulee was not quite set -- it should have been cooked a bit longer. I had the pecan crusted salmon - and it was terrific.
Just a great relaxing spot for dinner. A well executed menu, great wine list and highly professional and attentive wait staff.

Crab eggs Benedict was delicious! California Benedict was wonderful with the crispy avocado, bacon omelets were also fantastic! The highlight of our meal was our server Kristin. How lovely and personal and attentive without being pushy. Perfect Mother's Day brunch!
Incredible food and incredible service. Best food I’ve eaten in Buffalo and comparable to restaurants in New York City. Every aspect of our dinner was fantastic.

Have been here several times. Love the menu, and our waitress Kristen was fantastic! I had the pan seared Halibut, and my wife had the rib eye, both cooked to perfection! Will be back soon!
The fig and prosciutto salad was amazing, well balanced. I had the filet which was excellent my wife had the rack of lamb, she said it was tender and tasty.

We arrived a bit early for our reservation but sat right on time. The service was very slow. It took an hour to get our entrees when other diners sat after us were done and gone already. The server took drink orders for a second round but skipped one of us and had to come back again with it. I ordered the lamb chop special and requested medium rare. It arrived medium well, but I had to eat it since we had about 12 minutes to eat before we had to leave for a concert. My entire dish was way over salted as well as two other diners. I enjoy a well salted meal but I left almost all of the bed due to the overpowering salt. I have hosted events here as well as had many dinners. This is the first time I had any issue and was very disappointed. I planned the meal with friends with the assumption All would be as fabulous as the past. I hope this was a one time fluke.

My wife, daughter and I were in Buffalo for the weekend and trying to find a nice place for dinner. I had remembered eating at a place downtown that I really liked, but couldn't remember the name. Then, while out walking, we stumbled on Bacchus and realized that it was the one. It was even better than we'd remembered it: everything was terrific, from the cocktail and salad to the entrees we had--the salmon and the ravioli, which were outstanding. If we lived in Buffalo we'd be there often. We also really enjoyed the ambiance.
Everything was amazing, from start to finish. Our waitress was knowledgeable and everything she recommended was flavorful and perfectly cooked. We loved our experience and will be coming back.
We chose Bacchus to celebrate our anniversary dinner which was also our first time visit and were extremely pleased with the experience! We were greeted immediately and seated and the wait staff - a server and his assistant - came over and began filling water glasses and informing us of the day's specials. We decided to forgo an appetizer and instead my wife had the fig and beet salad while I went with the garlic bisque - both were to-die-for delicious. I chose the rib eye for my entree while she went with the bouillabaisse special and we both felt like we each made the best choice! The wait staff was impeccable - always there to fill a glass or remove a dish but never hovering or interrupting. Great wine list - beautiful dining room - great views of the eclectic Chippewa/Franklin intersection - and a wonderful musical soundtrack unobtrusively playing. Highly recommend!
Our meal was delicious and our server was outstanding! We hadn’t been to Bacchus in a while but now we can’t wait to return!
DELICIOUS & amazing food! We had to spend a night downtown Buffalo and happened to stumble address this place. The food is exquisite . Everything is handmade, even the crackers in the cheese plate. We shared some of the small plates and had ana amazing dinner and experience. Also discovered Lambrusco wine...a must do!
Excellent food as always! The Ahi Tuna was beyond expectations as well as The Creme Brulee Cheescake. I highly recommend this place!

Have always enjoyed Bacchus. This past Saturday they took our appetizer plates and immediately served our dinner. Waitress apologized but we had to relax a bit before eating causing food to be just like warm.

When I made the reservation I noted that we were celebrating a special occasion. We were pleasantly surprised to receive glasses of champagne to celebrate our anniversary when we were seated. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a Riesling from the NY Finger Lakes (our favorite region for Riesling) as well as from the Mosel River region of Germany. Our seating was spaced sufficiently to allow us privacy. Which in some restaurants comes at a premium. Service was timely and friendly.. Checked on us at regular intervals and kept our water glasses filled as well. Overall an excellent meal and experience.

Went for restaurant week and it was worth it! The food was amazing. Rib eye was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. We reviewed the menu prior to our reservation and I had my heart set on the duck. The restaurant week menu stated it was to be served with butternut squash risotto. The night we went it was being served with beet risotto. Being that I’m not a fan of beets, I asked if I could substitute the herb risotto which was being served with another dish. I was told I could, but for a $10 up-charge. I thought this was a hefty up-charge so I went with another item on the menu. It was good, but it wasn’t duck.
