This restaurant was amazing as well as the service and ambience The only disappointment was I had red the menu ahead on trip advisor and the salads offered were at least 4 At the restaurant there was only one which was good but not what I had in Mind I told the waiter at the end of the meal and he said that was very unfortunate and would let Trip advisor know which I will also do Joanne from Saskatoon

Our server was incredible and the food was amazing. The live piano created the perfect atmosphere. It was also our anniversary and the level of service they gave us was exceptional. The attention to detail creating a special dessert for us was well beyond what we expected. We will definitely be back to this restaurant.

Breakfast menu is varied. We had the full breakfast which was delicious and the oatmeal which was very good but could have been hotter and the rye toast could have been toasted to be more crispy for my taste . Service was very good and the place is so comfortable for dining.

Bacchus offers an elegant setting, not crowded or noisy, and offers very high quality food. I almost always go there intending to have their take on Cobb Salad, which is one of the best I've had, but then often end up diverted by some special creation. The treat fish with great respect....

We went to Bacchus for High tea and though the food itself wasn't anything to write home about, our waiter was awesome. Considering the price of other high teas in Downtown Vancouver, I believe you got what you paid for.

We sat in the Piano Lounge and had the Restaurant menu. Great ambiance. the Piano Player was awesome. Led Zepplin, Ozzy and Show Tunes Magnum PI, A-Team.

Went for afternoon tea and was disappointed due to a number of factors. In all fairness, the restaurant does not just specialize in afternoon tea and there lies the rub. I prefer tea to be served in a bone china pot - keeps the water hotter. Didn't know what kind of tea it was but did not seem one of the better ones but that could have been due to the fact that it is difficult to keep water hot in a tea press therefore not getting the optimum flavour of the tea. Not enough food.

A lovely cozy setting with a table in the window--not crowded, and not noisy. A perfect spot to a lunch with an old friend or relative who enjoys really top quality food, wine and service.

Lived in Vancouver most of my long life and I don't know how I've never dined at Bacchus until now. Found it through OpenTable with great reviews. Everything was excellent: our service was excellent, James our server was professional and even helped design one of their menu items (halibut) we ordered. Will definitely be back!

Fabulous. Table of eight. Everyone was pleased with their appetizers and entrees. The amuse bouche was amazing; it set the mood and increased the anticipation of good things to come. Maitre d was a welcome change.

It was our Wedding anniversary and it was our intention to have lunch. We did not expect a very limited a la cartel menu. My wife chose halibut fish and chips- and the batter was”soggy” and lukewarm (totally inedible! The fries were poor and hardly warm. The Cobb Salad that I settle for was blah. We will never eat there again.

What a fantastic dinner. It was my first time eating 'bougie', mind you, so my perspective may differ from that of someone who regularly drops >$50 on a single meal. That said, from the moment I walked in, I was treated like royalty. Our server, Joel, was incredibly hospitable and charismatic. We did the Dine Out Menu, and took the accompanying Wine Pairing set.

Things I wish for? More wine (only a total of 9oz for the $22 add on), wasn't expecting to pay $7 for my latte, and more explanation of the wine and how it's going to pair with the food.

My wife and I were there for dine out Vancouver. The food was great. I love the way my duck confit was done. Crispy skin, soft tender meat and not dry out. My wife loved both desserts. The chocolate bar was not too sweet, just perfect. The only thing that was disappointing was our umbrella was stolen at the coat check area. So we had to leave the hotel getting wet. So if you plan to go there, keep your stuffs with you, I guess.

Had a great dine out experience here. The only thing is that the waitress who did my reservation noted that they are going to give us a happy birthday tag on the dessert, but we did not get the birthday tag when we went. The experience here was great though. Food was good too.

As it happened, we were here during the Dine-Out Vancouver period. The food was wonderful, the ambience was (as always), charming. Bacchus is unlike most restaurants in downtown - it's not too loud, is lush and a wonderful place for special moments. It is a wonderful place to bring out-of-town guests.

The Dine Out menu was as excellent as their menu is on a normal basis, and the restaurant should be commended for that.

The only small issue was that although we were there on a Monday night (with many empty tables), when we were sat we were asked if we planned to order from the Dine Out menu and told that we were subject to a 90 minute seating because we were going to order from the Dine Out menu. Ultimately, they didn't hold us to that, and the service was otherwise attentive.

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful ambience, exceptional food and service that could be wonderful.

We went for dine out and were extremely satisfied with both the food and the service. Although the room was fully booked we could have a conversation without raising our voices, which happens all too often at other restaurants.

Dinner was pleasant. Food was well-crafted and the flavours were complementary. Very minimal cocktail list with only classics. Decor and ambience was great. Atmosphere was very much a feeling of controlled formal dinning--professional and hierarchical--though I would have enjoyed a more relaxed, comfortable setting. Overall, well-executed, tasty dinner. Passion fruit creme brulee was incredible!
