Took my boyfriend there for his birthday dinner. I was impressed by the service and the ambience. Our server,Nathan, was great and very attentive. My only disappointment was the food portions. For the price, I would have expected much more food.

Our experience was as good as it gets in Atlanta. The service was perfect and each and every course was excellent.

Given the rapid, unexpected and unfortunate decline of Restaurant Eugene (what happened?),Bacchanalia is now in a class by itself at the top of Atlanta's fine dining alternatives.

Hopefully the economic recovery will encourage someone to open another restaurant in Atlanta that can be competitive with Bacchanalia. Atlanta should be able to support several restaurants that offer this level of excellence.

and had an absolutely great time. I took my childhood friend out for a long overdue meet and the food & service was perfect- they are exceptionally attentive to detail in every way.

The restaurant is laid out mostly for couple dining, so expect close quartered seating.

A friend and I dined at Bacchanalia on NYE! We both agreed that this was our best dining experience to date!! Bacchanalia offers a total experience from the decor to the staff and the unbelievably delicious food!! Our server Clay was very knowledgeable and friendly! I loved the in between course surprises! The staff was so attentive and we never felt like we were waiting on something. The GA red shrimp, gulf crab fritter and prime NY steak were fantastic. You literally feel like you're eating art -- everything was well crafted and thought out. We were in awe of everything. I'm looking forward to my next special occasion-- I'll surely spend it at Bacchanalia!! When the bill comes -- you don't mind the cost because it's sooo worth it!!

Bacchanalia is THE place to celebrate a special occasion! You will be treated like royalty and enjoy every single course. And, each course just seems to become more tasty and delicious. It's nice to have ta "special" place to go when the occasion arises. Hats off to Bacchanalia for being that very SPECIAL place for us! Job well done.

With wine pairing, a cocktail, and tip, the bill was $200 per person. For that price, I would expect more nuanced service. The first course arrived before we had finished half our cocktail. We asked the waiter to slow down the pace, but somehow he thought we wanted less to drink and came back a few minutes later suggesting we share the wine pairings for the next course. After a more lengthy discussion, the second course arrived before we had a breath after the first one. After more discussion, the pace finally slowed somewhat, but I was already annoyed. The food was outstanding -creative and exciting.

Following a superb meal upstairs at Bacchanalia Firday night that left me wanting to try more, I dined downstairs the next night at Quinones. This is a fixed price menu of more than a dozen courses so the only decision you have besides type of water is with or without wine pairing. Food allergies and dietary restrictions are also discussed. All I can say is fabulous! The price for this level of food, wine and service is half a similar meal in other cities. I have spent double this amount at several Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and the U.S. At an age of not wanting the noisy "high-vibed" restaurant, for me this represents a sanctuary of peaceful, superb dining. Food was great, service just right and wines were terrific.

And there was a wait. For the third time, waited 15 minutes passed the reservation time to be seated. and they are unapologetic about it. They really should be able to run a restaurant better than that.

Friday night’s dinner was one with a client that took me many months to secure. My first choice of venue to make a great first impression was Bacchanalia. When we were seated, our party of 4 were seated at the “private” dining room table that could seemingly seat a party of 16. We immediately declined as that seating was the equivalent as sitting at the bar. We then decided to get a drink at the bar – not wanting to infringe on the other patrons’ personal space, we were forced to stand near the service area of the bar.

I wanted to make a positive first impression with my client, and had chosen Bacchanalia. Instead I was embarrassed, and ending up apologizing to my client. Bacchanalia will no longer be a place I will bring a client.

This restaurant has farm to table freshness with very creative combinations of ingredients and a well managed wine list. For its style it is perfect! It's high ratings are purely from the fantastic food. It is not a quiet over the top Romantic French dining experience where one is smothered by tuxedo clad servers. It is though very professional and provides very timely service where the food is is wonderful. I wanted to go back as soon as I left. All ingredients were obviously hand chosen. For a small example the pecans used in one dish were so full of flavor and I have a pecan grove. I will return and will sit at the bar where items can be ordered individually.

This is, perhaps, one of the only restaurants in Atlanta that is at the pinnacle of food experience. Every dish, every mouthful is an amazing gastronomic journey. In one bite you are tasting soft, crunchy, tangy, salty and sweet. Need I say more. John in midtown

We have made Christmas Eve at Bacchanalia a tradition. The food never ceases to amaze. While the dining room was packed, the atmosphere remained quiet and refined, and conversation was easy. Normally, the service is impeccable, however our experience this year was slightly less than that. Service started very slowly, when usually the staff is very attentive, and knows exactly when to show up and when to disappear. While we love not being rushed, this may be the first time in our history with Bacchanalia that we found ourselves looking around for someone to serve our water and take our drink orders. Same with our ordering dinner. Once the runners began to serve us, however, things picked up and the perfect Bacchanalia timing returned.

Simple but elegant setting, staffed by people who love what they make and bring to your table, food that always amazes you both in how it tastes and how it's presented on the plate, with a great selection of wine available by the half glass to pair with your five courses. The best special occasion restaurant in Atlanta.

This was a highly remarkable dining experience. The service was welcoming and impeccable. The ambience was cozy, yet sophisticated. The food was delicious and balance with each component of a dish being integral to it's composition. The wine pairings with each course rounded out the meal. We dined at Bacchanalia to celebrate a special occasion. Indeed, my experience here made a momentous life achievement even more memorable. I highly recommend Bacchanalia.

We dine at Bacchanalia once or twice a year, for special occasions. The quality of the food, the service, the attention to details is unsurpassed in Atlanta, and it is just great how they could keep up the consistency over the years. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and very attentive, without being intrusive. They take great pride to make sure everything is going well. It is always a delight to be there.
