We eat here once a week and love the food and service.
Eaten here a few times. It pulls in a brisk local clientele and depending on the time you go, it could be very filled. However for me, it's time the venue gets an overhaul. It's getting real dingy inside.
Had a great pork chop entre. Nice ambiance. It was my first visit and I plan to go again.
One of my favorite places to bring fiends and family !!!
Great food and wonderful service, every time.
Great menu and always delicious. We will be back again. The bar has great atmosphere as well.
Aside from the exceptional offerings on the menu and the mouth watering appetizers, we also love the burgers.
Bar tender could not be bothered to put any effort into being pleasant
Great bar scene and great food. The antipasto is a great deal to start .....
Love, love, love Bacari Grill! I've never had a bad bite of food or a poor service experience there. It also has a very pretty interior.
During my last two lunch visits I was disappointed with both the food and service. The bread on my sandwich was rock hard one time and I told the waiter and hostess, yet nothing was done to remedy or offer a substitute. The next time my steak sandwich had as much grizzle as meat. I don't know what changed from just 2-3 years ago when I went there more often for dinner.
After a long absence we dined early on a Thursday; ok so it was our 48th anniversary but we didn't tell them. The service and food were exemplary. Our waitress made good recommendations and was attentive. By the time we left the noise level was up but in general the ambiance remained welcoming and vibrant. We will not stay away for long
I used to love this restaurant and was excited to come back after many years. The bar was lovely as always and I had a delicious cosmopolitan. But the food really was not like the Bacari grill I remember. To start we got the classic calamari and it was chewy and just not really good then we got the meatballs which were so dry and garlicky. My companion got a pizza for dinner which was undercooked and terrible. It tasted like frozen pizza and it was half raw. I got the tuna which was OK but the seasoning that encrusted it tasted like a spa. It was lavender encrusted. My other dining companion got the halibut special which I tasted and thought was good. The service was great, our waiter was attentive and lovely but the food disappointed me.
Waitress Ashley was great!
Outstanding! Always consistent. The wait staff are always friendly and personable. It’s our refuge during a hectic week for great cocktails and a fine meal.
Food and service were great!
Great food. Nice place. Only thing I would have liked differentbwas that our appetizer came out long with our salads prefer appetizer served separate from salad but other than that everything was great
A pleasure for a weekday dinner. We love the place!
Excellent grilled octopus appetizer.
Wonderful dinner and superb service totally enjoyed expect a return real soon
We started off with an antipasto that was excellent. Their veal chop was perfect and short ribs full of flavor. Our waiter was sweet and accommodating. We will definitely go here again if even just for drink and brick oven pizza.
This was our first time back to Bacari in a few years and it was excellent! The service from start to finish was 2nd to none. The food was great and we can't wait to go back
Bacari Grill has very good food, service and the decor is very nice. I've never had anything but a very good meal at Bacari -- lunch and dinner.
First time back at Bacari Grill in many many years. It's not that I've avoided its off the beaten trail for me. Nonetheless, it will not be that long for my next visit. The food was great as well as the service. While the windowed room and general spaciousness of it is comfortable, it leaves you with a feeling of it being stark. Some large plants (perhaps silk) and trees appropriately positioned would go a long way for sprucing things up. Will return.
Excellent service and food was very good. I was not happy with the noise level. We arrived early - at 5pm and the dining room was almost empty and quiet. By the time we left - about 7 - on a Saturday night we were screaming to each other at the table. I would re-think a Saturady night at this restaurant.
The oysters were amazing! My fiancé and I had a wonderful date night dinner at Bacari Grill this weekend. From start to finish our meal was exquisite. We had the crab cake appetizer, which was out of this world, and an assortment of oysters to start. For our entrees I had the sea scallops, cooked to perfection and my fiancé had the halibut special which was equally as delicious. Both entrees were generously portioned as were our wine glasses (a great bonus). To end our dinner we each got double espressos and shared a warm apple crumble style dessert that was accompanied with a lovely caramel ice cream-so good. We will definitely be going back soon. Don’t think twice. Enjoy!
I find that having lunch here is always a good choice. They are accommodating, the waiter was very attentive and gave all the proper information for the specials of the day. They have a great overall menu and their sushi is well presented and very fresh.
Incredible menu, service and wine list! An awesome critic's choice every year!
Food was great, good variety on the lunch menu.
Great ambiance, good food and service. Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant. We'll certainly be back.
Food was top notch. Can’t wait to go again. Not waiting for an occasion.
Always an enjoyable meal at Bacari. As an added treat they also serve very tasty Japanese rolls and sushi. Service always good and you can hear yourself and other members of your party speak! Tables are well positioned to give you maximum privacy. Look forward to returning again and again.
We had a 5:00 reservation, which was great, because it was quiet and the staff was very attentive. I chose the trout special with wild rice and a delicious cabbage. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. My husband had the crab cakes and meatballs which he enjoyed. We shared a delicious caesar's salad. I thought it was a bit pricey, but everything was delicious.
Let me start off saying that the food is delicious. For appetizers we ended up having the Burrata, maki rolls and Brie cheese. Away everything go serve just made it look even more appetizing. For the main course we ended up getting scallops which melted the moment we took a bite out off it! That’s where we ended up having to Apple crumb cake which was also very good. The service was also phenomenal! Our server Jason made sure he took care of us and made sure we enjoyed the meal. This is the place that we will be coming back to and will make sure to request Jason to be our server as well even though everyone from the staff that came by was very pleasant!
The halibut cheeks, which was a special and not inexpensive was disappointing. It arrived with a nice presentation but was overcooked and dry with little flavor. I suggested this location and was sorry that it wasn't a more favorable experience for my friend who hadn't been there before. Her bay scallops and spaghetti was mediocre and she brought most of it home for her husband. Not because of a oversized portion, that was not the case but because the dish was disappointing in taste.
Best restaurant and wine list in NJ...great service and ambience!
Always a great time.
We had a late lunch and were probably in between there lunc/ dinner but they sat us and the service was excellent .. lunch menu and price were excellent.
Although we are not far we forget to include Bacari Grill on our list of " go to " restaurants in our area but this experience has changed that for sure !! We will be back.
Lunch was good. Chicken Parm and some penne with a little desert and a salad. Happy with the service. The place fills up for lunch quickly. I just wish they would give the dining room an overhaul. Some paint would be nice.
I had not been to the Bacardi Grill in years so we decided to give it a try. Like most of us, it has aged, but unlike most of us, it has not aged well. It was very tired and worn inside with the most disgusting, dirtiest ceiling I have ever seen. That really skeeved me out but that was only the start. My daughter, a teenager, and I, in a half empty restaurant, were shown to the worst table in the restaurant, all the way in a little alcove by itself on top of the emergency exit door. I politely asked for another table and we were shown to a tiny 2 top next to a dirty, food encrusted wall. We should have gotten up and walked out right then and there but we stayed and ordered dinner. I wish I could say things got better but they didn't. We started with an order of fried calamari that was billed as spicy, tossed in a garlic butter with banana peppers. The calamari was fairly bland and not crispy at all. It had some sliced peppers thrown on it but I did not taste the garlic butter. For an entree, my daughter ordered the pasta Bolognese. When I asked her how it was, she made a face and I asked her how it compared to her favorite, the Bolognese from BV Tuscany in Teaneck and she said, 'not even close.' Needless to say she left most of it. I ordered a special of trout on a bed of spinach and wild rice with apples and walnuts. I really wanted to like the dish because the flavors really worked but the trout was so overcooked it was like eating sawdust. I left about a half of it because there wasn't enough water on the table to get it down. Of course after that, we were not sticking around for dessert nor will we be returning. I can't understand the decent reviews that this restaurant gets. Are people so used to mediocracy that they don't know or appreciate lousy, overpriced food in a worn, dirty setting?
