Dining at Babette’s Café is like stepping into Chef/Owner Marla Adams’ home. She is equally as known for the incredibly creative Rustic French, Spanish and Italian cuisine that she creates, as she is for her welcoming personality. Marla has turned her apron over to Chef Justin Kurtz who has taken the reigns in the kitchen. Together they dig deep into the food history and traditions of Europe and bring them to Atlanta with nuance, respect and artistry.
For twenty-four years, Babette’s Café has offered the flavor of a restaurant that is tucked into the French countryside. The dining room offers a relaxed setting and the outdoor patio, which overlooks the serene setting of Freedom Park, makes diners forget that they are just minutes away from downtown Atlanta.

Babette’s does not offer catering. We can however, help you with your dinner parties, by providing you with meats, sauces, garnishes and lots of the extra special food stuff to set you apart from your friends. We won’t tell them. We can provide you with just about any of the items on our current menu. Please give us a call. 24 – 48 hours in advance. We are closed on Mondays, so 48 hours in advance if you are calling then.

Tuesday and Wednesday nights we offer a Prix Fixe option in addition to our regular menu. We offer a choice from three Appetizers and three Entrees. $21.00 per person plus tax and gratuity. Check our homepage each Sunday evening for the following week's Prix Fixe.

Mini Wine Tasting Feasts on the Third Thursday of each month in the Spring and Fall. Four wines are presented, each carefully paired by Marla Adams with a small appetizer. $28.50 per person including tip and tax. Reservations only with advance payment. Book early!

Every bite of five dishes was delicious. I prefer quality ingredients, simply prepared. Babette's Cafe did just that with the shrimp and grits, and braised rib tip specials, as well as the fried oysters and cassolette menu items.
The richness of the jus, the textures, the depth and layers of the flavors were what struck me then and have stayed with me. You (probably) cannot make this at home, and that makes it worth a visit for me.
Add to that a Malbec and a dried cherry tart dessert and you cannot do much better at any price.

My wife and I have been dining at Babette’s a couple times a year for more than nine years, so I think it’s safe to say we know what a wonderful restaurant it has been. Food is always well-prepared, drinks from the bar are always perfect and service is always attentive. The menu changes nicely with the seasons, yet there are always a few favorite dishes available. We have tried so many of the different entrees that I can safely recommend them all. However, I will say that the desserts are always unique and exquisite. We will no doubt continue to enjoy dining at Babette’s Cafe for many years to come.

Valentine’s Day dinner. I assumed it would be pretty busy so no surprise there. The bar tender was entirely overwhelmed. He only addressed us once, about 5 minutes after we sat at the bar. After that he didn’t address anyone at the bar. Several people walked awY because he was so busy making drinks for the restaurant. We were at the bar for about 20 minutes total and in that time had a single drink. On top of that he wasn’t very personable, granted he was very busy so I guess he really didn’t have time to talk. The manager/ owner stepped behind the bar for a moment to make a couple of drinks but that didn’t remedy much.

We sat about 13 minutes after our reservation. A little longer than I hoped but not terrible considering how busy they were. Our server was fine, the food was prompt, as far as quality it was good, I wasn’t wowed but I didn’t feel like I over paid either. Maybe I’ll try again on a night when it won’t be packed.

Had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner. Experienced a little bit of drama with incorrect reservation info on their end, but they calmly took care of it and had us seated quickly on a very busy night. Really terrific service and delicious food. Tasted fresh and home made, a dinner you’d expect to enjoy in a little place in an Italian countryside or the South of France. Looking forward to returning soon.

Wonderful dining experience tonight for Valentine’s Day and Chef Marla is amazing! I called ahead to inquire about the menu because I have some dietary restrictions (Keto) and to my surprise, I received a call from the chef herself shortly after to clarify my dietary needs. When we arrived, we were greeted by the chef and a really sweet hostess who seated us immediately. Our waiter let me know that he was aware of my dietary needs and gave excellent service. And the food never disappoints! I enjoyed the roasted half duck with a creamy parsnip purée, grilled Brussels sprouts with roasted pecans and I added a side of roasted cauliflower. Absolutely delicious and not a morsel left on the plate! My husband had grilled filet mignon with Gorgonzola sauce and loved his meal as well. Great food and excellent service every time! Thank you Chef Marla for going out of your way to make sure my food was perfect!
