My wife and I both had the trout entree, and we agreed it was the best prepared trout we have ever had. The skin side was perfectly crisped, yet the flesh was very tender and moist. The portion size was generous, the accompaniments were perfect, as was the white burgundy recommended for the entree. A perfect dinner!
Have loved Babette's for years. Everything is always so fresh and tasty.
First time at Babette's Cafe and it was a lovely evening. Great service - helpful but not cloying or hovering - and wonderful food. We'll be back.
After many years, still an Atlanta favorite! Food and service are always outstanding.
Babette's is always very good - and this visit was no exception. David took wonderful care of us during a delightful dinner. We had the Romaine and Arugula salad, the Tempura Cauliflower with Red Pepper Hummus, the Veal Picatta, the Blackened Cod with Pea Risotto, and finished with Fig Cookies and the Dried Cherry Tart. Everything was excellent - including wine pairings.
Babette's is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta - always great food, good service and never pretentious.
Fabulous from the warm, crusty bread to the rum raisin ice cream!!!! A perfect FIVE and we will be back soon.
Great meal and great service.
I went for my birthday and they made it super special!
Have eaten here multiple times since moving to the area. Food is consistently excellent And both service and Ambiance Make this an excellent restaurant.
Had not been to Babette’s Cafe in a few years & loved it! Food was excellent, service was very good & atmosphere was cozy & lovely. Can’t wait to go back!
Food was exceptional. Service was top notch. Will definitely go back.
As usual Babette's met my expectations; outstanding food and service.
I noted in my reservation that the purpose of the dinner was to celebrate my friends birthday. I thought they would’ve acknowledged that but they did not. Additionally, the bread was hard, our waiter seemed unhappy to be there and I was seated next to an air vent blowing cold air.
Starting with an excellent Pear Martini, the best I have had, moving then to escargot, heavenly cassoulet or the best tender veal cannot say enough good things. Wait service excellent, not rushed very European. Only downside coffee could be better. Overall we keep going back!!!
Food was quite good. Noisy party was a bit dustracting
We were so pleased with the service we received. We were originally placed at a center table in the main dining room which was just fine when we first arrived. However before we could finish ordering, a very loud party was seated near us. After asking if something could be done, the hostess immediately moved us to the outside heated/covered porch which was lovely and quiet. We had such a nice dinner after that. The food was great as always!
Service was impeccable and server was very knowledgeable of the menu. The cheese plate was locally sourced and an absolute must if you visit the restaurant.
The service was great!
The outside balcony was pleasantly heated and the atmosphere was really nice.
As a French/European style restaurant, the portions are a little small for me.
If you’re a guy looking for food it might not answer that need. I would recommend eating something before.
Overall it was a great experience!
Like all great French restaurants, the attention to detail is amazing!
Great food as always. Nice atmosphere. Our favorite special date place.
We love Babette's Cafe! We both ordered the same things. We had the sweet potato soup (yum!), shared a small plate of the cauliflower - always fantastic, and we had the special of the week as a main course - the pork chops in a balsamic reduction, with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Absolutely delicious!
Babette's Cafe always delivers. We travel from Kennesaw to dine here. For those geographically challenged, to make a 6:30 p.m. reservation during the week, we leave at 5:00 p.m. to make it on time. That's how good the place is. We will fight the traffic that is the ATL to reach Babette's. The seasonal menu means something new is being presented. But the dessert menu? The best item is the dried cherries pie with a scoop of ice cream!
In all our years of dining here, Babette's has always been great. Wonderful, creative food, comfortable vibe, and consistent quality.
Babettes is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. My meal was excellent and overall a good experience. The server seemed indifferent to us. Polite, but not particularly attentive. This was the first time I had experienced that at this restaurant and he disappointed me.
Our food was great, and the server was exceptional!
Food and service are always excellent. Compared to other restaurants of the same quality, price is extremely reasonable.
Babette's never disappoints! The food is delicious. Everything is perfectly executed. Even a simple salad is always good, very fresh and the dressing tasty and perfect amount. Steak was great, cassoulet was great, mussels were great, chocolate torte was great...you get my drift. Nice wine menu too. And possible to actually have a conversation with your table mate!
The food was disappointing. We went because google recommended Babette’s for the creme brûlée. That was disappointing as well. The service was fine. Our server was very friendly. But with an almost empty restaurant when we arrived, we were seated right next to the kitchen and also beside one of the only other groups of people in the dining room. So our host had to actually pull our table over a little to even allow us to get seated. It’s a beautiful place in a nice location and the ambiance was very nice. I enjoyed my wine and the other wines available looked like good options. Our salads were good. Overall, it was a big let down though. I would definitely not recommend Babette’s to anyone.
Quite simply, top to bottom, the best meal I've ever had in Atlanta! Food, service, friendliness, atmosphere are all impressive! Every course was exceptional, and every course topped the previous course! The lamb chops are absolutely to die for!! Loved Babettes's.
Every bite of five dishes was delicious. I prefer quality ingredients, simply prepared. Babette's Cafe did just that with the shrimp and grits, and braised rib tip specials, as well as the fried oysters and cassolette menu items.
The richness of the jus, the textures, the depth and layers of the flavors were what struck me then and have stayed with me. You (probably) cannot make this at home, and that makes it worth a visit for me.
Add to that a Malbec and a dried cherry tart dessert and you cannot do much better at any price.
Babette’s is our favorite for special occasions. We’ve been patrons for over 12 years and will keep coming back.
Babette’s Cafe never disappoints. Immaculate service from longstanding staff.
Food was great, authentic French. Small but well curated wine selection.
My wife and I have been dining at Babette’s a couple times a year for more than nine years, so I think it’s safe to say we know what a wonderful restaurant it has been. Food is always well-prepared, drinks from the bar are always perfect and service is always attentive. The menu changes nicely with the seasons, yet there are always a few favorite dishes available. We have tried so many of the different entrees that I can safely recommend them all. However, I will say that the desserts are always unique and exquisite. We will no doubt continue to enjoy dining at Babette’s Cafe for many years to come.
We had the most fantastic waitress, the food was great, the whole decor and style of the restaurant was wonderful, couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Valentine’s Day dinner. I assumed it would be pretty busy so no surprise there. The bar tender was entirely overwhelmed. He only addressed us once, about 5 minutes after we sat at the bar. After that he didn’t address anyone at the bar. Several people walked awY because he was so busy making drinks for the restaurant. We were at the bar for about 20 minutes total and in that time had a single drink. On top of that he wasn’t very personable, granted he was very busy so I guess he really didn’t have time to talk. The manager/ owner stepped behind the bar for a moment to make a couple of drinks but that didn’t remedy much.
We sat about 13 minutes after our reservation. A little longer than I hoped but not terrible considering how busy they were. Our server was fine, the food was prompt, as far as quality it was good, I wasn’t wowed but I didn’t feel like I over paid either. Maybe I’ll try again on a night when it won’t be packed.
Had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner. Experienced a little bit of drama with incorrect reservation info on their end, but they calmly took care of it and had us seated quickly on a very busy night. Really terrific service and delicious food. Tasted fresh and home made, a dinner you’d expect to enjoy in a little place in an Italian countryside or the South of France. Looking forward to returning soon.
Great!! From start to finish!
Wonderful dining experience tonight for Valentine’s Day and Chef Marla is amazing! I called ahead to inquire about the menu because I have some dietary restrictions (Keto) and to my surprise, I received a call from the chef herself shortly after to clarify my dietary needs. When we arrived, we were greeted by the chef and a really sweet hostess who seated us immediately. Our waiter let me know that he was aware of my dietary needs and gave excellent service. And the food never disappoints! I enjoyed the roasted half duck with a creamy parsnip purée, grilled Brussels sprouts with roasted pecans and I added a side of roasted cauliflower. Absolutely delicious and not a morsel left on the plate! My husband had grilled filet mignon with Gorgonzola sauce and loved his meal as well. Great food and excellent service every time! Thank you Chef Marla for going out of your way to make sure my food was perfect!
The food was superb!!!! I was a little cold by the window.
