About Babette's Cafe
Our deck tables are not available online and can make for a lovely evening throughout the year.
Dining at Babette’s Café is like stepping into Chef/Owner Marla Adams’ home. She is equally as known for the incredibly creative Rustic French, Spanish and Italian cuisine that she creates, as she is for her welcoming personality. Marla has turned her apron over to Chef Justin Kurtz who has taken the reigns in the kitchen. Together they dig deep into the food history and traditions of Europe and bring them to Atlanta with nuance, respect and artistry.
For twenty-four years, Babette’s Café has offered the flavor of a restaurant that is tucked into the French countryside. The dining room offers a relaxed setting and the outdoor patio, which overlooks the serene setting of Freedom Park, makes diners forget that they are just minutes away from downtown Atlanta.

Babette's Cafe Ratings and Reviews
I know I am probably repeating myself, but how many times can you say, "superior food, great service and always, always makes us very happy". As usual, the piroshkis were spectacular; one of these times I will have three plates of piroshkis and pass on the main course.
The best thing about Babette's is its CONSISTENTLY great food.
Over the years we have been perhaps 20 times. However the last visit was 4 years ago. The ambiance is great with the intimate dining room. The food selections were tasty - but I would not say anything special. And - to that point there were no chef specials which was disappointing. We arrived about 30 minutes early, and although many tables were ready we and many others staged in an all to small bar. When we got seated the waiter was eager for us to order (like really eager and often) - which somewhat contradicted the bar seating - if they wanted to turn the table quicker perhaps there is another way.
I would go back based on fair pricing and charming property. But this eve not based on the amazing food and assuredly not the service -
You can always expect outstanding and courteous service at Babette's and that coupled with the delicious food offered on the menu and the drinks from the bar and an exceptional wine list you cannot go wrong. Always a pleasure to have a dinner with friends at Babette's Cafe.
I've had a really good experience here before, but the food was bland and lacking this time. Even the presentation was dull and messy. Lastly, the valet was extremely rude and made a nasty comment under his breath about his tip. I'll give them another try as the ambiance is great. Hoping this was just a one off.
As always Babette's delivers an excellent meal at a reasonable price.
It is a pretty room and the service is always spot on-attentive but not intrusive.
Be a little early and have a drink at the six seat bar--fun to watch a good bartender work!
Killer cassoulet, scrumptious and fresh swordfish. Beautiful menu! Lovely wines, friendly and professional service. Enjoyed indulging in the baguette and butter. If I lived in the area it would be a go-to restaurant for any special occasion.
Babette's is one of my favorite local restaurants with lovely ambiance, wonderful service and delicious food. Their St. Germain Pear Martini is always delicious. We started with the seasonal sweet potato soup which was yummy, especially with their warm baguette. I am looking forward to my next visit!
Absolutely outstanding food, and more than worth what you pay. Incredibly innovative and high quality, and the atmosphere is authentically warm and just sophisticated enough for the most special occasions. I adore the service and the food! One of my favorite restaurants in ATL, a true "neighborhood gem" in Inman Park.
A well kept secret with Food as good as any restaurant in Atlanta. Service very attentive
and my Lamb Shank as good as any I have ever tasted and its not an Italian restaurant!
Have ramp for challenged seniors
Noise level is only issue, like eating in a bus terminal waiting room............but your first bite
of your appetizer makes you forget that
We have always enjoyed Babette's. It is one of the few consistently excellent restaurants in Atlanta that serves well-prepared food that is interesting but not fussy. The service is attentive but not fawning. It is noisier than I would like, but not ear-splitting.
One of my all time favorite restaurants. Menu changes with the seasons. Sweet Potato Soup w/chile’s was so delicious I ordered a second bowl. It was creamy with just a sparkle of chiles. Also enjoyed the fried tempora cauliflower. My friend’s filet migon was perfectly prepared. They make a perfect mojito! Friendly staff & Valet parking. Great value.
My friend and I had the most delicious meal at Babette's on Saturday night. Even though there was a full house, it was so nice that we were given the option of three different tables! We chose the table outside. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. The starters were vibrant and just the right amount/size. Roasted beets and carrots (beautiful color and taste! and cauliflowers with harissa sauce and chili oil--yummy! the entrees were also fabulous and I can't stop thinking about mine--which was scallops with a pasta that had flavors of smoky bacon and capers. My friend had the pork loin which she said was delicious. We had the plum galotte a la mode---which was the perfect sweet and tart taste to cap off our wonderful dinner. My friend is fighting breast cancer and we were celebrating the halfway mark of her chemotherapy treatment. I was so happy that she felt well enough to eat and that we chose Babette's for dinner bc I know memories of that meal will carry her thru some future yucky days that she may endure.
As always Babette’s fulfilled our goals. We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday just as we did for mine six months ago. Enough said? By all (senior) measures this is an outstanding place. A wonderful variety of superbly prepared dishes professionally served in a grandly comfortable setting.
