Mussels were delicious and plentiful. Beautiful place, great people, great atmosphere
Was great when new, but now it seems like a restaurant trying to cash in on being good in the past. Portions are too big, or you can easily split an order of Mussels. Good quality mussels for sure.
I have really enjoyed going to B Too in the past, which is why I brought my family here for a special event. When we arrived for our reservation for 7 people, our table wasn't ready, and it didn't appear the restaurant knew what to do with us. Once we were seated we had a rotating cast of waiters which lead to an appetizer being forgotten, few water refills, and not great service. It was really a shame because I've had good experiences in the past. Unfortunately I don't think I will be recommending this restaurant for a large party again.
The menu was creative and well organized. That said, I was curious about some of the dishes and especially the snacks/bites and appetizers. Our waiter was not helpful to us and in fact seemed to rush us the entire dinner. This hurried effect began when he asked us our drink order. The drink menu was extensive and we were only handed one. My husband and son both wanted beer and needed to process the several pages. They tried to ask questions about the regional Belgian, German and French beers only to cut off by the waiter. He hovered over me for an order once I got a chance to look at it. When it came to ordering the food, he did the same thing. Instead of engaging in a conversation, his responses to my curious questions were abrupt although made with a charismatic smile, and only told us what to order without a reason or allowing me to follow-up. His service was very disconcerting and I would not recommend the restaurant, although the food was satisfying.
Bit pricey for the quality. Fancy place, but food didn’t match the hype.
The deconstructed apple pie waffle dessert was amazing. I would come back just for that
A rousing applause for making our special family meal perfect from beginning to end!
It was Mother's Day, so we didn't expect the service to be very good and it wasn't. We were hoping the food would make up for it, but it did not. The ambiance is very nice and was the best thing about the restaurant. The food looked good but was lacking in flavor. The best thing they had was the Doffle (part donut part waffle). The eggs weren't very good, neither were the brussels and hash browns. We didn't try the waffles which did look very good.
The crew was extremely accommodating, and the food was delicious!
We like B Too because it is usually a calm place to dine where you can have a conversation with your friends. I realize this was Mother's Day, but our group felt rushed the whole time and the both the kitchen and the wait staff were frantic. This led to a predictably unpleasant experience. The food was great, but we felt they were trying to get us out as soon as possible. I hope this is an isolated event.
Mother’s Day breakfast - Great vibe, excellent food - multiple types of Belgium waffles including their famous Doffle. All the food was prepared beautifully.
Exquisite dining experience! Phenomenal staff. Hospitality is through the roof! Will return!
Very quaint place. Excellent food (mussels are great!)
This restaurant is superb. The food was incredible from start to finish. We got appetizers, entrees and dessert and everything was delicious. HIGHLY recommend for an intimate date or for brunch with friends.
I had the "BLOEMKOOL SALADE Fire roasted cauliflower / shiitake mushrooms / kale / grilled branzino / black garlic dressing" and it was FANTASTIC!!
A little pricey 3 people ordered 2 omletes 2 waffles, 2 side bacons , 2 sparkling mimosas with 18% tip $120.
I think they were quiet based on the Easter weekend. I am hopeful all will be ok in the coming weeks.
Our neighborhood and special occasion favorite never disappoints.
Nice hidden gem, great ambience. Easy to get a reservation for brunch time and the food was great! The green mcwaffle was so good. Service was a little slow but they were all so nice and helpful.
This place is the worst - food is super mediocre at best and not filling and, despite which, so expensive, even by DC standards. Have been here a few times and every time I ask myself why I'm there. Ambience is nice....
Great as always! We always bring out of town guests here and once again it did not disappoint.
Wait staff continue to disappoint and don’t listen to specific details of customer orders.
A tremendous meal, the menu was very well designed with a lot of interesting looking dishes. Service was outstanding and made a special occasion very special indeed. They were great with the children and I especially enjoyed the selection of Belgian beers. One of the best restaurants I've been in the US. Contemporary European cuisine delivered in a modern but welcoming atmosphere
Service was fast.
Food was good.
Ambience was really cool.
My husband and I went to B Too on a Saturday morning around 11am. We had our ESA (emotional suppport animal) with us - as we take him everywhere, and they had great accommodations for us to ensure we were ALL comfortable.
The food was delicious!! We started with two Mexican lattes and got a doffle sandwich as well as the brûléed waffle, both of which I would highly recommend. My husband and I shared the meals and discussed adding another “Entreé”. The server must have overheard us talking as he walked by, because he stopped by the table asking if we wanted to add another dish (which we did) and it was out in under 5 minutes!
The entire experience was impeccable and I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone that enjoys trying new things!
We enjoyed our dinner at B-Too. Service was great. Food was excellent and they have a great Belgian beer selection.
Always a pleasure eating at our favorite neighborhood restaurant!!!!
Fantastic. Truly enjoyed the beer selection, the high quality fare and the Old World ambiance. Will be eating here again and highly recommend.
By far and away best mussels in DC. Service was very attentive and prompt. Best restaurant in neighborhood.
The waffles are great and the drinks are interesting but definitely good and worth a try. I recommend getting a drink at the bar before your table is ready since there isn't much room to wait elsewhere
Very yummy food but the portions were very small and overpriced for the amount. Service was terrible. Not once did someone fill up our water and took forever to get the check.
Excellent service and the food was good, although my scallops weren’t cooked well.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at B Too! The food was fantastic and the wait staff was very attentive. Would definitely recommend!
This is one of my favorite places to eat in DC. The beers are amazing, there's something for everyone to eat here (savory and sweet options) and the staff is lovely. Their croissants are seriously amazing and if I had no self control that's all I'd eat; just a big plate of croissants and a beer.
Food was very refined and delicious.
I like the noise level at this restaurant. Even when it's crowded, it never seems very noisy.
Thought I was back in Belgium. Food awesome. Chris and Fabian wonderful to us. Definitely return for us. Fits great with an event at the Studio theater.
Normally I do not reviews but for B Too I like to make an exception. Always looking for, and finally at our 7th visit to the US we found a restaurant where a very extensive variation of ingredients is brought together in delicious dishes. Ideal prepared and perfectly seasoned. Staff were friendly and helpful .
In combination with a wide range of carefully selected top wines, this was our best culinary experience ever in the States. Some will place it in the higher price range, but I know that for this quality in Europe at least you will pay a double price. We will visit it again every time when we come back in Washington.
I love B-Too... Food every bit as good as Le Diplomat but no attitude other than hospitality and graciousness. Great if you like mussels. Best onion soup I've ever had.
Great food and variety for brunch. Staff is friendly and good service.
We were at the restaurant before the theatre and the service was wonderful. The scallops were fabulous. Two people in our party got the mussels and enjoyed them.
