B Too Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant was good but very over-hyped. The Doffle actually tasted like a Shoppers' doughnut that had been pressed in a waffle maker (that is to say that it lacked flavor, a distinct flavor). The presentation of the food was very nice (our entrees and desserts were Instagram worthy) but the taste left much to be desired. So much so that we ended up going to Shake Shack afterwards :-(
I used to love going to B Too when it first opened. I haven't been back for awhile and I won't be going again anytime soon. A $70+ lunch with no alcohol, dessert or appetizer is utterly ridiculous. The meal was adequate at best and the prices out of control. Bye bye.
Had a great time at brunch. Tasty food, generous portions, great service and overall welcoming and festive atmosphere. Wasn’t at all noisy. Lots of kid friendly options on the regular menu. Though the spot felt hip and cool, kids were definitely welcome and in fact Kuddos to hostesses snd other staff for helping keep the little ones happy. Lots of fun brunch coctails for adults as well. Everyone was happy.
Steak tartare is outstanding. Mussels could stand a bit more zip. Doffle was dryish. Waffles are memorable. Salads are lovely. Overall we love this neighborhood gem and so do our friends. Although you guys need to do something about better ventilation. 😷 Keep improving and we’ll keep on coming. You’re doing most everything right.
Food was very good, but service was lacking. We were a group of six for brunch and had a centrally located table. However it took a very long time for our order to be taken. And when we specifically asked to have side orders of fries and bacon come out first, our server said she would put in the order altogether and did not consider our request. Ultimately the side orders came out after our main dishes.
The service was horrible. Heard the server complain about us under her breath. I ordered a drink and it didn't come out until after my meal and had to remind her a few times. They forgot someone's meal at our table and had to remake it. They forgot someone else's drink that never came, but still got charged for it. Other people at my table who ordered the same drink received the drink in a small glass and one very large glass, but charged the same price. I had a mimosa served in a glass with another restaurants name on it from a New Years Eve party (very strange). Food was not great either. Overall, not a good experience, would not go back.
Food is quite good. The place was packed. Ventilation is wanting. They were frying food in the kitchen and the billows of frying smoke were overwhelming the exhaust fan, so much so that the smoke spilled onto the dining area - you could see from where we were sitting. The stench in our clothing, when we came home, was undeniable. For how expensive this place is, it is not too much to expect not to smell like a fry cooker when we come home.
B Too is a great spot for get-togethers and brunch. An expansive beer and wide list, as well as authentic Belgian cuisine is fantastic. And they are quite creative with their belgian waffle creations. A bit pricey, but the ambiance and service make it worth it.
Went for brunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday - the food and drinks were enjoyable but we ordered something that came out with weird timing, our waitress was very sub par- one of us had a good allergy and she said “this is probably not the place for you” without giving options or possible substitute. First time I️ had ever experienced that.
The B's tables are jam packed: uncomfortably close to the neighboring table. The waiter bumped in to your chair or you yo get to serve the other table.
The food was OK...overdone vegetables on the hangar steak dish. No condiments until we asked for mustard.
Over-the-top- pricing - $75 for a glass of wine, entree and dessert.
One if my favorite restaurants in the Logan Circle area on 14th Street. Great happy hour that includes half prices glasses of eine, drafts, specialty drinks and selected appetizers. So many great appetizers that I've previously tried so today I enjoyed the Boudin Blanc Sausage with granny smith apples. It's Tuesday, so I have to order their Brussels Mussels with half lobster and bisque and only $16.95 on Tuesdays only (regularly $27). Always fantastic and they provide a spoon to enjoy the bisque after enjoying all the mussel. Service is top notch! Definite worth visiting while in DC!
Fun place, especially for brunch (Belgian waffles!). The bellini wasn't exceptional (they have a different take on it, it's not like they made it wrong or anything, it just wasn't quite to my taste), but the bloody mary and mimosas were tasty. I had the pulled pork waffles with avocado, and they were truly exceptional; definitely the best meal I had all week. The chicken and waffles were also tasty, and my MIL seemed to really enjoy her pear dish and cappuccino.
