Topped with Belgian Chicken Stew, Mushrooms, Pearl Onions
Baguette, Scrambled Eggs, Onions, Tomato, Gruyère Cheese, Avocado, Spicy Samuraï Belgian Mayonnaise, Greens, Frites
Glad to have found this place. It has the look and feel of a real Belgian pub. We'll be back!
Went for brunch Sunday
Over an hour wait for food
Kitchen needs help, wait staff were great given the circumstances.
Food was good but it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to make so definitely will not come back here. I understand it was a Sunday brunch so they were busy but they really need to hire more people in that case because no one should ever have to wait that long for a simple eggs and bacon dish. Disappointed given the potential since the actual food was decent, but not decent enough to make up for the time wasted.
Great food !! The outdoor back patio is lovely.
It was my birthday and I had no special treatment because of that.
I had a delicious cheeseburger & fries. My sister had the vol au vent (chicken in pastry) which she thought was okay, but she said that next time she would probably order the mussels. We shared the wonderful molten chocolate cake.
The food and ambiance were excellent with a very nice selection of beers.
Very average. Mussels were kind of dry. I had to beg to get some bread. I would only go back for brunch - but the backyard is very very nice!
Very lovely backyard garden well spaced out for COVID safety
Nice selection of beers. Salmon and mussels frites Provençal were fine.
Lovely brunch spot! Delicious food, great service. Mimosas were good and fries were excellent. Would recommend the B. Cafe Omelette or anything with Belgian stewed beef.
The burger and steak with peppercorn sauce were very good but the scallops were to be blunt, terrible and not worth anywhere near what they charged. The waiter was excellent.
The service was pretty poor. We waited 1 hour for our food to arrive and the mussels disnt have the french fries so we had to request. Thenwe had to ask for our dessert to be served and then twice for the bill. I have eaten there several times and only now does the staff seem overwhelmed.
No a/c or ceiling fans. Restaurant was full and the say was very hot and humid even though we were seated inside by the door leading to the patio.
While the restaurant was full when we first got there , it did thin out however, the server was not particularly attentive.
Hostess was very pleasant. Unfortunately, there was a table of about 6 men who were extremely loud who were seated across from us making it difficult to hear my friend who was sitting directly across from me at a 2 person table.
I had croque monsieur which was ok, not great. My friend had the muscles which she said lacked flavor.
While I have been here before, albeit before COVID lockdown, this was a bit disappointing compared to pre-COVID. I will try again though probably not for brunch.
Very pleasant seating in the back courtyard. Dishes (salmon, stew, muscles Provençal and chicken with puff pastry) were well prepared, although the salmon was a bit overdone. Special cheesecake dessert was delicious. Ledge brune a good beer choice.
Good ambience and staff. The service could be a bit faster but overall no complaints. Great selection of beers. Giant pretzels, delicious mussels. Highly recommend
The best Belgian food in town.
Our waiter was very unpleasant On the other side, the Manager Page was perfect
We're so happy to have found our new neighborhood hang-out place. The 50 Belgian beers brought us in; the food and atmosphere brought us back. The covered garden out back was the perfect place for dinner during a thunderous rainstorm (we didn't catch a single drop), and our family from out of town absolutely loved the whole experience. We expect to be regulars here.
Very nice, food great, good atmosphere
My friend said her burger was one of the best she's ever had! And I enjoyed my mussels, as usual. We shared the amazing gooey, molten chocolate cake - my favorite.
Most of the people in my party have been here before and were pleased. This was before COVID. It was a very hot and humid day and I requested indoors b/c one person has asthma and could not sit outside. Since there was outdoor and indoor dining, there was no a/c and it was extremely hot and unplesant. I have found this to be true in many NYC restaurants that offer indoor/outdoor dining. We have a family member who works in food business and certainly understand the strains on folks these days. It was obvious that B Cafe is short staffed and as a result quite irritable. The service was slow, the staff was unfriendly and the food was medicore at best.
Food was great mussels- in tomato broth and garlic and fries were superb. At first we had a waiter who wasn't so accommodating but then we had other servers and they were lovely. Sitting in the back garden was delightful. Place got pretty noisy when it was full - we had to yell to hear each other. Other than that it was great!
Great food and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Their outdoor patio in the back is awesome!
Dining in the back yard was welcome and the service was great!
Food was good, as expected. Service was pretty terrible. Inattentive, missed portions of our order - felt like we were constantly having to wave the wait staff down. Disappointing given have had great experiences in the past.
The servers all looked miserable. Even the kids picked up on it. 😳
We loved it here. Are like king/queens. Service and food are both amazing. Cute patio. Amazing beer selection
We had asked for the garden seating and were informed that that was not available. The seating was in a non descript bench outside, just wood planks. waited for a very long time for drinks and food. Waiter was nowhere to be found. very expensive and mediocre food.
Would not return or reccomend to friends
Burgers were great & beer was excellent as always. The dessert was okay but not great. Also, we sat on the street platform which needs some upgrading. I recommend B. Cafe for the beer and burgers any day.
B Cafe never disappoints. Laid back atmosphere, mussels and frites to die for and friendly service offered up at value prices. One of my favorites on the UES.
This place was out of every beer we asked for on the menu.
The staff was great and friendly. They make a great Bloody Mary.
Two of us had Sunday brunch at B. Cafe. My friend had the eggs benedict and I had the farmers omelette. We shared a slice of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Everything was wonderful, as always.
Waiter messed up both our orders. Took a long time to get the food back once corrected. Waiter only came by once to check in food. No one brought water or iced tea refills. The staff basically couldn’t be bothered with us and there were only 2 other tables inside.
We were hoping to seat in the back. But that is alright, we still enjoyed being there. We had not been since before the pandemic and we are thrilled that they are here and happy to support them. I think the food was better. Mussels were outstanding, but the fries are not the Belgian fries, and the salad was so very sad. We will return, but it wasn't as memorable as we remembered.
Slow service. One waiter for entire place.
Waited for Mussels over an hour and the restaurant was not overly crowded. Waited on a new pot of coffee about 1/2 hr. By the time I ask for the third cup, while waiting on mussels, it was disgustedly, completely burnt! Yuk!
There must have been a Hugh problem in the kitchen!!!
Great food & ambiance. The waiter wasn't very good. Said there wasn't any bread except for baguettes they used for sandwiches. He brought a baguette. I asked for extra olives and he handed me a toothpick with olives by hand vs. putting it on a plate. Other than that all good.
B. Cafe is rated 4.3 stars by 1160 OpenTable diners.
