Great experience and the attention to detail was terrific. One of the best meals we’ve ever had.
The food and atmosphere was fantastic!! My husband, my mom and our kids celebrated our anniversary with fabulous service and yummy food.
place to celebrate engagement, honeymoon, anniversary, etc.
The personalized menu was a nice touch!
The food and service at Azure was some of the best i have ever personally experienced. My wife and i came for our honeymoon and were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the extremely friendly staff. Its the perfect place for a romantic date night.
Both the food and service was amazing. The main course which was the wagyu strip was THE best wagyu I’ve had before. It melted in my mouth. My husband and I were so jetlagged from our flight that we couldn’t fully enjoy the experience, so we took the dessert (honey cake) to go. We had it the next morning and it was so delicious. It probably would have been better if we ate it on the spot when served. The chef came by to our table to make sure everything was all good, and our server was the sweetest. He was an older gentleman who went out of his way to show us the route (shortcut) back to our hotel so we wouldn’t get lost. Both the food and service was 10/10.
If you dine at Azure only for it's stunning location right on Waikiki beach, you won't be disappointed. No other restaurant enjoys such panoramic views of Diamond Head, the sunset and surfers who look like they could ride their boards right up to your dinner table. Aside from the extraordinary view and location, most everything else at Azure's does not measure up to its extremely high price tag. Currently, Azure is only open three nights per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), and, like many high-end restaurants in Hawai'i during the pandemic, Azure only offers a prix-fix menu. I found the $25 price tag on the Mai Tai from Azure's bar to be overpriced and not very good (the drinks and the prices at the Royal Hawaiian's Mai Tai Bar next door are far better on both counts!). The wait staff were courteous and nice, but they seemed to be out of practice. There were long periods during my meal when no one stopped by to check on how things were going or what I might need. The night I dined at Azure, there were three courses prior to the dessert offering -- a delicious asparagus salad, followed by a delightful dish with poached scallops, and then the main entree of Wagyu beef that was set on top of some truffled mashed potatoes. Although there were long delays between dishes, the food was enjoyable until the beef arrived. Unfortunately, the beef dish arrived lukewarm, and I found the quality of beef to be far too fatty for my taste. As I began to feel some disappointment at the end of my meal, I reminded myself to look up and see why had come there in the first place -- the view! If only the food and the service matched that gorgeous view Azure would be one of my go-to places on future visits to Oah'u. There are just too many other wonderful dining options on Oah'u that a return visit to Azure will not be an option for me.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The wait staff was great. They acknowledged our special occasion and toasted us with complimentary presecco and a custom menu. The tasting menu was delicious. Drinks were too strong and expensive. Dinner right on the beach was worth it!
Absolutely amazing 4 course meal, elegant ambience and always super grateful for the excellent service. 🙌
Accommodated vegetarian. Very very fancy. Couldn’t get us our outdoor table at our reservation time but they gave us complimentary champagne while we waited at the bar. When we were seated we got an outdoor cabana.
Beautiful setting & great food
Incredible meal, stunning views and stellar service by Nestor. Amazing way to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
We had a wonderful experience after a stressful day of traveling! Our waiter was wonderful and we were treated very well. He took the time to share how each meal was prepared and it was beautifully prepared and delicious! Thank you for taking us even though we arrived late because of delayed flight! Truely an enjoyable evening.
Food was fantastic. Views were great. Service was impeccable. Nothing at the Royal Hawaiian ever disappoints. Would highly recommend!
With my wife and I celebrating our anniversary this year on Mother’s Day, it was hard to find reservations. However, we came across Azure who had an reservation open up. We booked and I was almost immediately called to confirm my booking, and to be notified of the current 4 course menu, as well as asked if I had any questions. We were able to park at the shared Sheraton garage. When we arrived, we were greeted as Mr. & Mrs. Edwards by both the hostess and the servers. For our anniversary, they printed on our menus “Happy First Anniversary & Honeymoon” (our honeymoon was cancelled last year due to covid). My wife was nice and surprised by that detail :)
The food was incredible- each course continually winning us over. The service was superb. We very much enjoyed the margarita, Ben Collins, and glasses of red wine we ordered. I could not recommend Azure more. The chef and staff at this establishment must be very proud. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
The Waikiki beach view was amazing, especially with all the surfers and watching people on the beach. The food and drink were wonderful and the menus and quality of the food was amazing. The price was steep but that is to be expected in Hawaii. Would recommend.
Just opened a few days before we dined there. Give them a week to get the operation running smoothly.
Beautiful location and excellent food. Limited wine list, but inspired cooking.
Beautiful views exceeded only by course presentations. The meal was superb, our server seemed intuitive without being obtrusive. It was a memorable experience.
So amazing! Everyone was super friendly and the food was very good. Did the tasting menu and the portions were perfect!
Very good services , waiters and managers are kind and nice !
Nice location and delicious dishes!
The meat we ordered was mostly fat and the shrimp was mushy. My spouse and I ended up getting very sick shortly after this meal and ended up having to stay in our hotel for the rest of the night which was unfortunate since it was out anniversary. Our server was quite pushy so we ate and left as quickly as possible.
Elegant and outstanding beachside restaurant. Impeccable service. Definitely a must for special occasions.
The ambiance was terrible! As mentioned in several reviews, many whales and other swimmers constantly walked through the dining room. With that - I will not go back.
I would suggest Michel’s At the Colony for a better ambiance without the whales walking through the dining room.
A very memorable dinner. Overlooking the Waikiki beach, eating the best whole crispy fish while the sun set. I’ll be back 🥰!
We wanted to sit outside but were told there were no tables so they sat us on the patio where they bussed tables. We felt like second class citizens. I complained and they moved us to a table outside that was open no one ever sat there. Food was expensive and just ok. Server was good
If you're hungry Azure is not going to satiate your appetite unless your able to "fork" over a small fortune. Small plates and small portions at $60 per person.
Our waiter messed up our cocktail orders twice. Noise level high.
Definitely a special place for a special dinner for a special occasion.
See food entrees were outstanding, even if a coconut rice would be preferable over a "garlic" rice as side dish, for a more island flavor (part of the reason of my 4 stars instead of 5). Ambience is very nice, especially at sunset being ocean front with the Diamond Head in the background.
Little pricy (definitely you pay for the location and view) in comparison of other comparable restaurants in Hawaii, with same outstanding food and view. Hence, my 4 stars instead of 5.
However, we really appreciated the thoughtful complimentary cake with candle to celebrate my husband's birthday.
Outstanding ocean views from this restaurant. Food quality and service is outstanding.
Hostess was reason for service only 3 star. Not at her station on our arrival. She was not there as other people came after us as well. Her greeting was short and impersonal and we showed up early which she said they were running on time and we would have to wait in a bark back us. We sat down only to be told shortly after she was ready... Wait staff was good. Food very good . But is as stated higher cost meal.. Expect $80/ person ...
Wonderfully prepared, innovatively styled food. Gracious and attentive service. Beautiful atmosphere, both at the beach and in the restaurant. The night we were there, the live music enhanced the experience.
The menu has changed since our last visit. Less selection. Service was top rate, very nice. Beautiful setting. Prices increased as well. Nice music inside.
I was disappointed with my entire experience at Azure. They make a big deal about only taking reservations a month in advance, and there’s a clause about being able to sit at your table for a specific amount of time, yet when we arrived for our 7:45 reservation the place was hardly bustling. They sat us in the bar instead of at one of the tables with a view. The menu was disappointing and the service wasn’t the best either. At one point we were going to leave to dine at any of the other restaurants on the Waikiki strip, but the volcano margarita saved the day. It was one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had. Everything else we tried - food wise - was mediocre at best. My advice is to drop in for a drink but skip the food. There are plenty of better options within walking distance from the hotel.
No longer have the Pier 38 fish selection! Limited amount of fish selection now. Whole fish was sold out at 6:15pm. Very nice view beyond the stack of beach chairs and people changing clothes. Service was very good but the restaurant was very disappointing since tables are so close together and very noisy. Had the Beef and Reef. Filet was cooked perfect but the lobster was so small and had no taste at all. Most annoying part was the amount of foot traffic they allow to walk through restaurant past our table constantly. This place has lost its way. To expensive for just a casual resort type of place.
Had reservations for 8...3 of us were very sick the next day. Drink order took forever as did the entre and desert. Coffee finally arrived as we got up to leave. Our waiter , Roy, was rude, condescending and basically ignored us . We spent over $800.00 for this meal which we will not be doing EVER again. Have been coming here since 1969. So disappointing Teresa newman
Celebrated our 39th anniversary under the stars looking out over Waikiki beach. Awesome! Great seafood, sides and desserts. We’ll definitely come back!
Very fresh food, nice service and location. Especially our waitstaff! Thank you so much for your kindness. Thanks to you, we had a wonderful time and memories. I’d love to go again. Thank you
