This was a business dinner. The menu had great variety and it was easy to find something for everyone. lovely view. Fun dinner.
Went to celebrate 3 April birthdays. One on this day. 2 couples, 1 from Australia. Very busy with a Military Ball and a wedding. Drinks outside were great and Shea was a great waitress. Dinner inside was a disappointment because of the noise level. Large table with teens who were noisy and inappropriately dressed for an upscale restaurant. Food was good, not great as it has been in the past. Next time a special dinner celebration will not be here. I will go back for a casual lunch or drinks and dinner outside.
Always a great place!
We were disappointed in the brunch menu. There were not a lot of options that my family liked. It appeared that other families were going to a breakfast buffet. It was not offered to us. We would have preferred a breakfast buffet.
Started off well. Our first visit. Went downhill fast. Our server got busy with a large party at an outdoor table and we were ignored. When our meal finally came it was lukewarm. Server took off the prince of our buttermilk whipped potatoes As we hadn’t seen potato purée was with the filet mignon. Potato purée is NOT the same as buttermilk whipped potatoes. Usually at fine dining server asks tap or sparkling? No one asked and gave tap. We had to ask biased for sparkling. Needless to say we did not stay for dessert.
Dinner with visiting friends from New York. The food and service were fabulous. I would recommend dinner or breakfast to anyone staying at the hotel or visiting the area. This is our third experience and we are never disappointed.
The service was excellent on this occasion. The food was very tasty.
We were staying at the resort. Had dinner on a Thursday night. Food was good but nothing spectacular. Pricey. Service was very attentive.
We enjoyed the breakfast more- delicious banana chocolate chip pancakes, and eggs with vegetables( can't remember what it was called)
Bloody Mary bar for 2 looked amazing but didn't try it. Service for breakfast outside was slow.
Denise was an amazing waitress and the manager was very kind as well! We had a beautiful dinner & evening. We will definitely be back😊Thank you!
Great service! Great food! We celebrated our anniversary. Would recommend this to friends. Great outdoors atmosphere !
Thanks for the birthday dessert!!
Meh. We are on a Friday night. The filet was a mediocre cut of meat ($34). The wine (Cabernet $14/glass) was also not very good. Same with the sides and desert. Service was pleasant but inattentive. Actually wait for 15 minutes for my 2nd glass of wine before we ordered. They did comp the 2nd drink which was nice but it was annoying to have to wait so long. Nice atmosphere though. We sat outside and it was quiet. I can’t say I would recommend it for a date night, though. We were expecting better food and service.
It was race weekend and we were seated between two large tables of men from the race teams. Very noisy but we enjoyed in spite.
Grouper and fillet was very good! Lil pricey but I expected it. Overall good for a date night w someone special.
The food was excellent , but the filet was outstanding! Definitely recommend and will visit this facility again.
The pictures on the internet do not reflect the dining room at all!!! There were no tablecloths , the table was sticky , they had the doors open to the bar it was VERY noises . Very limited menu they were also serving a lunch menu at 7 pm at night !!! We were dressed up & yet when I called about the dress code we were told no flip flops etc . People were dressed in sweatpants !!! We will not go back at all overpriced for this place . Don't waste your money or time .
We went for brunches a Sunday at 12noon & there were no truly breakfast options after 11am. Just a bit disappointing. Also, very few vegetarian options for brunch. We sat inside & it was a great view & quiet.
We were celebrating my 60th birthday in Daytona beach and Denise at Azure Restaurant was a Wonderful Holiday Accent to a Most Memorable occasion
It was Christmas dinner and it was great. Not many places open but this was and we we very pleased. Have been here several times before and never disappointed. Food service and staff are great. Was a bit noisy with families and kids but it was ok. It was Christmas after all.
My wife and I were staying at the Shores Resort & Spa, where we'd just thoroughly enjoyed my cousin's wedding the night before. We wanted to try Azure's gourmet seafood, having seen their "swanky interior & a seaside terrace" for the past few days. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, but something just seemed to be missing from the kitchen's perspective. Every dish seemed to have been prepared using fresh, high end ingredients, but the culinary artistry we're used to seeing at restaurants with their price point just was not there. Positive: Our waiter was extremely fun (and proudly Puerto Rican) and he definitely wanted us to enjoy ourselves. I'm going to say that my review may be biased by a combination of extremely high expectations, and the fact that it was the week of Thanksgiving (the beach was pretty quiet and cold). Anyhow, if you're in Daytona Beach and budget's not an issue, this is a cool location to dine!
sent back first filet ordered medium rare looked and tasted well done another was sent out it was a little better but not much it was comped and desert was comped also place was nosiey Oh and server forgot the lobster and mac. And drinks where weak. Wont be going back
Location, atmosphere and excellent service.
I have nothing negative to say about my experience at Azure. The service was great! We started with a glass of red wine, We had the corn and crab Chawder, and Lobster bisque with a Rosemary bread that was amazing.....Our entrees were the seafood autuffé and the Black and blue prime rib.
We will recommend this place to others to experience the save service we had.
Thank you Azure and staff for such an maxing experience.
Great place to go for any occasion. We love it, good food, great staff.
The food and service were great but the ambiance was just plain not there. I expected an upscale décor with matching clientele but instead it was mostly Dad, Mom and the kids, all in tank tops and flip-flops. If you're looking for a place to romace your sig-other, this isn't the place.
The food was not worth the cost and not how it was represented on the menu
Overall a pleasant experience with a couple of glitches. We had come in the afternoon to check out the restaurant and booked a specific end table with a view of the water to celebrate our Anniversary. When we arrived, our table had been taken by another couple. The waiter was superb and we both ordered the corn crab soup. He came back after 10 minutes and said they were out of the soup and could he substitute the lobster bisque which we agreed to. However,
it was very salty and unlike any lobster bisque we had ever had (too much sherry, perhaps). At
any rate, the entrees were both excellent (one seafood and one grouper). The bread was
excellent too. The menu is not big but appropriate for that special occasion. The waiter
gave us wine and a dessert on the house after our complaint with soup so we would overall
recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful view, very good service, food was a good value and generous portion. Not pretentious.
We enjoyed appetizers and cocktails for a casual date night. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. Wine is a bit expensive. Outdoor porch is nicely protected from the wind, great place for a nice sunrise or sunset
This was our last night at Ormond Beach and wanted a particularly nice restaurant. This was it. Outside dining gave us a terrific ocean view. Service and food were both terrific
Facility was not conducive to a mid-evening meal with bright lights and loud large group (12/18) seated next to our table immediately after we were seated. Service was good but stretched, water glasses were not refilled and had to ask for steak knife - not what I would expect of a highly rated restaurant. The meals were as ordered and served hot. We have previously visited and the same unearned attitude of pretentiousness exists. If the experience lived up to the attitude it would be outstanding, unfortunately it does not.
The food was good, however, over priced for the ambience. Noisy with kids, not what you expect with this price range. Very disappointed.
The view from a table was so beautiful.
Staff were so nice.
Plates were terriffic!!!
You should try Crab cake.So delicious!
Azure is a lovely restaurant that is a special place for celebrations -- like a 16th birthday party. The five of us enjoyed very good scallops, filet mignons, and shrimp cocktails. Our waiter was attentive and gracious even when we questionned him about the ingredients in / on some of the food.
Well prepared, delicious food. Superb steak and outstanding cheesecake.
The menu was very limited because it was valentine's day but the selections seemed ok. The service was ok, the rest of the hotel staff was incredible and the bar staff was very knowledgable. The wait staff though was a little inexperienced and answered a few questions about the menu incorrectly.
The Azure is one of my favorite restaurants in the Daytona Beach area. It is always my "go to" location when I need to impress family, friends and/or clients. So, it seemed natural to choose Azure for a special Valentine's dinner with my wife.
The restaurant provides several areas for a quiet secluded meal, or you can opt for a scenic outdoor setting. What I didn't realize, is that you may also be seated in the bar area. I was surprised that the hostess seated us in a loud, non-romantic bar for this special event. I had booked this event well in advance, and had assumed that it was a special seating with a special menu.
We ordered the tomahawk ribeye for two. The dish was outstanding! I was confused as to why the Azure would serve a steak for two and not carve it tableside. It is a little awkward to cut up a steak and serve it as if we were in a family-style restaurant. I have enjoyed steaks at most of the best steakhouses in the country, and every time I've ordered a steak for two or more... it was carved at the table.
Overall... The food, wine, cocktails and dessert was excellent.
The service and ambiance were A+. It was a busy night (Valentine's Day), but the staff was attentive and courteous. We had a spectacular time and we never felt crowded or lost in the chaos of dinner on a special occasion like at some places. And if you stay the night, breakfast was just as wonderful.
I took my date here for Valentine's Day, it was great! It wasnt nice enough to sit outside, but the ambiance inside was perfect. Our waiter was very pleasant and friendly. I ordered the grouper and my date ordered the filet mignon, both were very excellent dishes, and two that I would highly recommend!
Azure stepped up and delivered at every opportunity with graciousness and efficiency
They tailored some salad ingredients to please our dining party and made adjustments to accommodate a disabled party member. Heather was our server and she worked with the chef to create an outstanding dining experience
