It was lovely. The food was very good but mine was a little cold.
Would be nice if waitress could wait until everybody were done with their meals to collect the empty dishes.
Also to wait until we would ask for the bill.
Over all we enjoyed our dining.
Great meal in an idyllic setting overlooking the beautiful beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Our food was amazing and our server, Toni, was delightful and attentive. I strongly recommend Aure at The Shores!
Very poor service!!! Nothing went right !!! It was supposed to be for brunch and we didn’t get the brunch menus or the brunch Buffett. Very disappointing. The bar the day before was great and so was our server. Need to get better staff in restaurant
My husband and I stayed at the hotel and had reservations for our anniversary. The staff was so kind and efficient. The food was good, I do wish they had a lobster entree option (right now it is only an add on) . The mood, atmosphere, live music and delicious dessert made it even better. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We sat outside and there was live music and a firepit. Would Definitely recommend!
We have always enjoyed it there and the view is gorgeous too
The menu here is not overly extensive but it covers all the basic groups. There is something for all. The filet is one of the best I have ever enjoyed.
I asked for a burger well done, and it was charred. Also, I thought, based on the pictures, that the ocean view would be more encompassing. It was nice, but it didn't meet the expectation of the picture on the website. I would recommend if someone was in Daytona, but with caveats.
This restaurant has lost its touch , service was terrible, I think our server forgot we was there .
Located in a hotel, this was our choice for a recent casual business dinner. The menu had some unique items such as the entree I and one of my vegetarian colleagues had -- the Tandoori Cauliflower Steak. I'm not sure if it was intentional but the dish was nearly cold; however it was quite delicious. The sauce was a bit spicy and very flavorful. The cauliflower was on the underdone side but, again, very tasty. One of our fellow diners had grouper and the other steak and all were satisfied with their meals. The prices are a tad high but expected for a venue on the beach with an upscale menu. I would dine here again.
Wanted to love it, view was great, service was very good but all veggies undercooked. Steak good, might go back might not. Very pricey looking for special place as the Cellar has dissapointed last 2 visits.
Two of three years ago when we first visited Azure, it was great; this time, not so much. We ordered a variety of starters and main dishes. The soups were quite good. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were tasty, but too few for the price. (Maybe there ran out?!) The Salmon and Scallops were okay, but would have been good if the not-very-fresh salmon had not been over cooked. The Prosciutto-wrapped Scallops were cooked well and were tasty, but they were wrapped in bacon! The Green Tomatoes were good, but the veggie main dish, Cauliflower Steak was not cooked enough and quite small. The accompanying sauce, however, was very good. Overall, the food was okay, but we had to wait over an hour for it to arrive. Overall the experioence was not worth the money or the trip.
We went for my daughter’s birthday. For the three of us the bill was almost $300. The food was overall excellent. We all had the filet. Mine and my husbands were perfect my daughter ordered medium rare and it was super dry and more like medium well. The servers were doing their best but the place was grossly understaffed to the point of an irate patron yelling at a waitress and asking for a manager. I do not fault our wait staff they were trying but there were NOT enough of them to take care of inside, outside and bar the huge pretzel app with beer cheese was my fav
Read review for Batonwaver on Trip Advisor. Don't waste your money on this poor attempt at an upscale restaurant.
Good variety on menu well prepared and presented food.
Made reservations on valentines Day we were seated in between parties so close to each other so we asked to sit at another table and told we could not bc all the rest of tables were reserved , The reserved tables never showed up and neither did our food . after a hour watching everyone else eat and never seeing our server we decided to leave , then was told they would bring our food to our room and it never showed up there either .
This was our first time to dine at Azure. I have known about the restaurant for quite a while and have attended events at the Shores many times, but had never eaten in the restaurant. Overall, the food was good to very good. The service was acceptable thanks to the waiter who was assigned to our table. The waitress was nonexistent for the majority of the time. If it had not been for him we never would have received our drinks nor other parts of the meal. Overall, we had a good experience and would consider to come back.
We were there for valentines dinner (because our favourite spot was booked) and right from the get go... we felt rushed. We ordered a $180 bottle of red wine... and asked for a decanter. The lady looked at us like we had 3 heads. We were in and out in an hour. Food was just ok. When I looked for fine dining in Daytona Beach... this restaurant popped up. Looked nice, so we booked it. It definitely is NOT fine dining. Good spot for a dinner and ambiance, but not our idea of fine dining. Hyde Park IS fine dining.
We had visited Azure for the first time about a year and a half ago and were not impressed with the food. On this occasion we had friends coming from out of town for lunch and we were willing to sacrifice great food for the fabulous ocean view. Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised. I had a delicious cocktail and the warm goat cheese appetizer with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, grilled garlic cloves and soft olive oil grilled bread was fabulous! Even the non goat cheese eaters and the non garlic eaters were scraping the plate! We also had shrimp tacos, filet quesadillas, the Asian chicken salad and chicken salad on a croissant. Everyone loved their choice! Eric was our waiter and he was great! Very attentive and very pleasant!
The lobster croqettes were light as air. Everything tasted great. I saw whales. The service was low key and excellent. AND they have an oceanside fire pit for after dusk. Who could ask for more?
Service was very slow.
Lovely, quaint atmosphere with touch of old world charm. The staff is helpful and attentive and food was tasty and presented well. While being near the ocean is always beautiful, we were disappointed that the rooms decor was not as represented in the website ad. The room is is need of "freshening" and not nearly as elegant as pictured, especially with the lack of table cloths. While Azure is certainly more than a step above other seaside places, there are many other restaurants where we could have dined on a wooden table top and not have paid high end prices. Management could help by introducing a modicum of a dress code. While we are not snobs, Saturday night dining might at least discourage the wearing of tee-shirts and baseball caps. This was our first visit and we thought Azure would be special, but that was not to be. A nice place, however, if you want to hang out.
The place was very nice and the atmosphere almost perfect. I say almost because there were some parents not policing their kids and they seem to have had enough sugar to kill an elephant running around being loud as heck. Other than that, a beautiful view and a great place to have a formal dinner. The portions where a bit on the small side considering the expense, but they were good at least.
Met there for a reunion of sorts. We were able to talk and hear each other and were seated at a round table so we could see each other. The food was quite good and the waitress was accommodating. My Bloody Mary was way too spicey and she gladly brought me a glass of wine. I would absolutely return.
One of the best dinners I’ve ever had!
Great food, quality service, and perfect location to eat and enjoy watching the ocean.
Poor service, bland food and the outside dinning is on top of the hotel pool. Not what I expect when I am paying $50 a plate.
Bad from the start. Didn’t receive menus. Had to ask to order drinks. Twice. Cheese board consisted of pimento cheese with nothing to put it on. Eventually we got bread after asking a server. Chicken Paprikash was VERY dry and very little chicken. One steak had to be sent back for being over done. Bathrooms out of order. Children running through lobby with long sticks. Almost got skewered. I later realized it was from s’mores out by fire. Great idea. However sticks need to be kept outside.
Very disappointed with the environment of restaurant and treatment by hostess. We arrived on Christmas Day for a 2:00 reservation. She advised us we were early but the table was ready. It was 1:50. Took us to a table that had food all over the floor underneath the table and an odor that smelled like dirty wet towels around the table. I asked if we could have a table outside because of the smell. Hostess said I don’t think so. Left us standing there while she sat two more parties then came back and said no because there was a large party coming in to fill all outside tables. Problem is I was told they were closing restaurant at 2:20....hmm very poor customer service and communication. Will not recommend to any one. We left. Not a good experience for my 75 yr old mom!
The food prices are high, but the food is delicious. Was made to sit outside even though there were plenty of tables inside to be transferred to. Service was on the slower side.
Service was so slow I could cooked my dinner myself
We went for the breakfast - Chicken waffle, Fritatta, Deviled eggs, Huevos Ranchero..everything was perfect. Live band was great. Weather was fabulous too. Our server Bassilia made it an easy breezy, lively experience.
Fine dining restaurants in the South Daytona area are scarce. Azure is a pleasant surprise. Very well prepared fish (not over cooked and fresh). Helpful staff. Loud music outside, but inside it was quiet and comfortable. Lovely dining room too. Al a carte entrees are in the $35 range. Decent wine list by the bottle, not so good by the glass (the usual less expensive wines for about $12 a glass).
My partner and I came to Daytona Beach for a relaxing mini-vacation and we always like to have a romantic dinner when we are away from home. Azure was the perfect spot to visit and while the price tag isn’t the best, the food didn’t disappoint. As big beer lovers, we were a bit shocked they didn’t have a drink menu besides wine, but our waiter was quick to figure out what they had on tap outside of the usual domestic beers. Overall we had a great experience and the seafood paella was fantastic!
Outstanding service along with good food. Would return here again. Denise was fantastic
I wanted to take my lady to a new place for her birthday dinner, and this spot came highly recommended. Azure is a beautiful restaurant, and as the weather was amazing during our visit, the outdoor seating was perfect. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean, the fantastic blues duo was just loud enough to enjoy and our server, Natalie was outstanding. We started with well poured cocktails from the bar and the Rosemary/Thyme bread was heavenly! The lady had lobster bisque and I, the corn and crab chowder to start. The chowder was good, though a bit under-seasoned, but the bisque was really good and full of flavor. For the entree we ordered the Paella for 2 as we're both huge seafood lovers. To some, the selection of seafood might seem a bit skimpy, with four large shrimp, threee large scallops and a large bed of very tasty saffron rice. But the star of the dish were the four large clusters of crab legs that lay atop. Steamed and served with brown butter, they were both scrumptious and filling. We finished off our supper with creme brulee and NY cheesecake, both of which were wonderful. With an impressive wine list and great service and ambience, we'll be returning to Azure soon.
I can't say enough nice things about the staff and the kitchen. They did a great job, the food was outstanding. A standout is the monkey in the middle desert. If you are looking for an oceanside, dining experience they check all the boxes, however, the decor and ambiance are dated and in need of some attention. They don't put linens on the table as shown in their pictures.
We were out of town for our anniversary and came to this resort for dinner. We sat outside to listen to the ocean, it was very enjoyable. The resort had fire pits nearby you could see which was a nice ambience. Our two servers were great (Marcus and sadly I forget the women's name)!! They were friendly and nice. We even got a free dessert for our anniversary. The prices are a little on the high side, but the food was so good. The lobster oscar style was amazing, I highly recommend. Our dessert was delicious. The bread they serve at the beginning was so good too. I recommend this place.
We love Azure at the Shores Resort and Spa. Great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is excellent. We had the Florida Black Grouper for dinner and it was wonderful.
Great food and great service. Only suggestion would be to keep louder tables under control to not take away from other diners. Also would recommend allergy menu for those who have certain restrictions. It can be hard to eat out wog dietary issues and these menus are a huge help.
