Azur Ratings and Reviews
Our waiter was good. However, my wife was insulted by the short foreign-speaking waiter who asked her to turn her phone off during an urgent call from her daughter. We should have gotten up and left at that time verses that rudeness spoiling our evening at Azur. She was not able to hear her daughter due to the loud talking at the table behind her. We are Local and have dined there many times in the past but I don't believe you will see us again. John
A fantastic meal from start to finish! We didn't think we were that hungry but from the Lobster Bisque to the Pulpo, the fresh local caught Swordfish to the Braised Ribs Gnocchi, the Cardamom ice cream and the Apricot and Almond Crepe...perfection! Was a most amazing meal! We see why this is a Local Favorite and a top-lister by Foodies!
Azur, just up the street from where we were staying. Very good yellow tail snapper for my husband and me, and very good whole branzinos for our friends We enjoyed appetizers of octopus and ahi carpaccio very much. A good albariño followed by an acceptable, though grassy, NZ sauvignon blanc. An enjoyable evening. Pleasant to sit outside. Service was fine. Restaurant was quiet since it was the eve of Thanksgiving.
We went here when our in-laws were in town around Thanksgiving. It's a quaint restaurant in a quiet part of town. The food was delicious, but we all ended up ordering the same thing because the other options looked a little overpriced, and there isn't a huge menu.
We searched for a table on the day after Fantasy Fest and were lucky to get one at AZUR, their summer menu was still in effect and our delicious light dinners were incredibly inexpensive. Two courses each and a glass of wine cost only $70 including tip. What a deal! Noise was an annoyance with a large raucous table behind us but it was a holiday weekend.
We went to Azur 2 mornings in a row for their "Hurricane special": 2 eggs however you want them prepared, ciabatta bread, bacon, sausage (link, patty or Italian) or ham, potatoes, and coffee for only $4.95. This is less than McDonalds and just SO good. The server was outstanding and remembered us the next day along with the details of what we wanted from the day before. We also went to dinner there another night and everything was fantastic. Really one our favorite restaurants in Key West.
Our meal was delicious. We got the caprese salad, ribeye and pork tenderloin. My boyfriend is still talking about the ribeye and the potatoes that came with it! The pork came with 4 medallions and arugula with Parmesan cheese, which was a light meal- just enough!! We got the flourless chocolate cake for dessert, which was also. We will definitely be returning!
We have been here several years ago and enjoyed it.
We were not disappointed with our return.
The goat cheese and romaine salads were well balanced.
We spilt the wild mushroom gnocchi but we're a little disappointed in its blandness.
The grouper special was excellent however the mild fish could've used a sauce with a little more "substance" as an option add some "zest" to the dish.
Wine list is decent and we had a well valued Pinot.
Overall a very good experience and I would recommend to anyone.
Surprisingly, the most expensive entrée was a couscous seafood dish, at $36. I rarely would imagine couscous being the soul of my dinner, but this was excellent. My wife always has the octopus pulpa, so good you don't want to eat octopoo elsewhere. All four greatly enjoyed our meals.
If you order the chocolate flour cake, which is as rich as a big truffle and we ate it down to the plate, put your dessert order in early. We had to wait about 20 minutes, long enough for my cappuccino to cool.
We've been here several times in the last year. Always dependable and delicious! The food is portioned perfectly and their attention to detail was on point. We had the Octopus, and Carpaccio appetizers along with Gnocchi and Branzino for entrees. Flourless Chocolate Cake and Apple crepes for dessert, all accompanied with a yummy Malbec! We'll be back.
