My husband and I have never been to Azumi. We decided to go here randomly on a weekend planned for an aquarium visit. Well, the night we arrived, all restaurants and bars were to be shut down the next day due to covid. Azumi was more than accommodating to seat us, as they were overbooked. We gladly waited for our table. The food was absolutely amazing! Really worth the wait! The staff were so friendly and really made us feel at home. We will continue to support them when the city opens back up. I highly recommend trying Azumi!!!!
They were closing at the end of the evening because of Covid regulations so maybe that’s why the food and service were not even close to how they’ve been in the past. They did inform us that they have a new chef. One big problem is that now everyone at the table has to get the tasting menu or no one can get it. At $125 a person, that is ridiculous! The first few courses were very very rushed then we waited long periods between courses as the kitchen got busy. In general it was a fail and with a bill of over $550 for three people, I will not go back.
It was exquisite! I got the Flaming King Crab which was not only really tasty but a spectacle (order it to find out). The ambiance was nice but the lights were on the darker side so the server was using her own light to explain the menu. I enjoyed my time though and the server was lovely.
Sushi was great. It was a nice ambiance and the staff is friendly.
The food is good, miso soup, sushi and fried rice all very good. The price is in the high end. We visited for a late lunch and it was extremely quiet, we had the restaurant to us. We will return and do not hesitate to recommend.
Food was excellent . Felt like a private dinning experience . Five stars
Ryheem R was our waiter. He made the experience absolutely amazing. Wonderful customer service and overall attentive. It was my and my friends first visit. The food and ambiance was delightful. I couldn't understand why they charge $3 to put your alcohol on ice but that was,my only complaint. I would definitely eat here again.
I have been to Azumi multiple times - excellent sushi, pricey (the cost of flying it in). This time sushi was again excellent as was the beef and miso black cod (Nobu's signature dish). Beautiful setting by the water and our service was outstanding. The deserts were beautiful in appearance but blah - we will skip next time.
Always great, every time.
Service, food, and ambience were top notch. COVID safety measures in place. Lovely dinner.
The venue was beautiful, the reserved seating was private
Everything was phenomenal. Rich was the best waiter ever ! Love Azumi
Beautiful restaurant great service and delicious food.
Extremely expensive for the amount of food. Fish was fresh and well prepared, presentation was very good, but cost was very high and the portions were tiny. No wow factor in terms of taste to make up for being very expensive and not providing adequate quantity of food. Leaving hungry after paying 360$ for 2 people is not acceptable.
Super delicious food and drinks!
We felt safe from the moment we entered (even though there was no one in sight to check us in and we had to go hunting for staff).
We were seated at an appropriate social distant from other diners. Our server, Tessa, was AMAZING! She was friendly, kept us well stocked with hot tea, and was incredibly gracious.
I took a friend from DC who was impressed.
I met my expectations.
Makes a great date night, the food is just average.
This was our first time here and our visit was outstanding! Our server, Mason, was very attentive, personable, and knowledgeable of the items on the menu. The Flaming King Crab Roll was definitely my favorite - presentation and taste are a 10+! I started with the Rock Shrimp Tempura, which comes over a bed of baby lettuce and it was really tasty! The baby lettuce with the shrimp paired well!
My husband and I also had our 4 year-old daughter with us; however, be aware that the restaurant does not have a menu specifically for kids. With that, we ordered her a bowl of Vegetable Fried Rice but she did not like it (I did though - the red sauce around the plate was so good paired with the rice!). Our daughter let Mason know she did not like the vegetable fried rice and he brought her out a bowl of white rice (she didn't eat that either).
The vibe at Azumi is grown 'n sexy - lots and lots of candles and dim lights. There is seating outdoors, as well as inside - we sat inside. There are also plenty of heaters throughout the patio outside, too, so no need to worry about being cold. Next time my husband and I visit, we will definitely be kid-free and said we'd like to sit outside to enjoy to water views. 'Til next time Azumi!
If I have a complaint, which is a stretch to find one, it is that the club music deterred from the overall experience. Otherwise, this would probably be my number 1 spot in Baltimore. The 12 course tasting menu was worth every penny and a killer value at that. Perhaps the best steak I have ever tasted was served as one of the two entrees and I will never be able to taste sushi the same way again. Service was damn near perfect: attentive while not overbearing. Honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Just find some music that isn’t tangential to the overall atmosphere and then it probably will be the best. We’ll be back to try out the new teppanyaki room and put the number 1 spot up for grabs again.
Great sushi! Not very crowded for a late lunch and early dinner. Service very attentive and professional. Definitely returning!
The flaming king crab roll and pork gyoza were amazing! Beautiful patio views. Delicious cocktails!
Temperature was way too cold to enjoy food. The management could do better.
The food and service is always outstanding.
Had an amazing time (as I do with every visit to an Atlas restaurant). Thanks for another evening of great service and awesome food!
Azumi was fantastic. Really enjoy the awesome food, great service and cool atmosphere.
Food was amazing and overall experience was excellent . Had the chocolate lava cake dessert and it was exquisite .
Love the outdoor area and Tuna tartare
The server was great. The food delicious. The music was perfect.
Food was amazing!!!! And I loved the atmosphere and music they were playing!
Service was very nice. Food was of great quality. The experience was everything.
Gyoza were the best I’ve ever had and the spicy snow crab tempura was ridiculously good. Great drinks as well fantastic energy.
Azumi never disappoints. Food, cocktails, music, atmosphere- all top notch. Great place for a special occasion, or lunch or dinner out.
My wife and I had an amazing experience at Bygone two nights before going to Azumi. Frankly, we canceled reservations somewhere else to go here instead as recommended by our Bygone server. Initially, the food was delicious and well presented and our initial server was good. However, due to Maryland Covid regulations, at 10 pm we had to vacate the main dining area. We had just ordered drinks and were told we could take them to the bar area. When we went outside with our drinks we stood by an open spot at the bar. Not even 10 seconds had passed when a gentleman dressed in a suit behind the bar brusquely told my wife and I that we could not “just stand at the bar”. I tried to explain to him that we had just come out of the main dining area and he just interrupted us and said that we needed to leave. Given that it was my wife’s birthday weekend, and I’m not into making scenes, we placed our full drinks at the bar and went back up to our room at the Four Seasons. I’m still not sure what triggered his reaction, but needless to say, this tainted our whole experience that night. Quite different from the service we received at the Bygone.
Great ambiance and impeccable service!!! Good special occasion restaurant!
