Please call the restaurant to book parties of 9 and larger or for additional reservation assistance.
Great food well done but the Zen one would expect is counter to the loud music track and Club vibe. The NYC prices are out of line.
We ordered the A5 Japanese Wagyu at $38 per ounce the taste left a lot to be desired . My group 3 order over $500 and none of us finished or felt satisfied.
Not your grandmothers sushi restaurant, music, people and the atmosphere all contribute to a great experience.
Super yummy as always. I totally recommend the tuna tartare because WOW
Disappointing for a high end sushi experience. Azumi (and Pabu before it) was always a special treat—quality of fish even better than Sushi Sono without traveling to DC, Philadelphia or NYC.
I had last been there 6 mos ago, and the difference in food quality was marked. The several types of nigiri we had were tiny and dry. Staple sushi (eg, maguro) was no better quality than a more economical sushi restaurant in the city—but a smaller cut and more expensive. The tempura batter was soggy. Even the bowl of rice contained okoge.
For me, the chic surroundings were never a draw; excellent fish was always what made Azumi a special treat that would get me to pay up a couple of times a year.
I’d feel so much better if I could attribute the food last night to a bad night on the kitchen’s part, but almost all dishes (particularly the sushi) were lacking in the fundamentals, in my view.
Still one of the best places i’ve been to in Baltimore, such a great every time we come
Excellent sushi experience, as always. Close to Nobu-level quality without having to get on a train!
It was lit
New Years Eve celebration. The location, atmosphere, menu, food, drinks, ambiance, and service were impeccable. I did not expect the staff to hand out party favors nor champagne near midnight. That was the icing on my most perfect evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a fine dining experience in Baltimore. Additionally, the drinks were incredible.
Dining for NYE. The music was so loud and annoying we could not even hold a conversation across the table. I understand attempting to create a festive atmosphere however guests should be able to enjoy each other’s company. We gave up trying to talk to each other.
This is not the first time. I love the restaurant but the headache from the constant loud music. No thanks.
Ben was amazing as a server. The food was really pretty, but nothing spectacular. It was beautifully presented but the portions were very small.
Delicious food & service but too expensive.
The Maryland Crab roll might be the best sushi we’ve ever tasted. A must try!
We went here for my daughters graduation. The food was great
And the service fantastic. We didn’t order dessert but they brought my daughter an ice cream creation with a candle. I would go back and highly recommend
Always the best food, service, music and vibe!
The food, ambience and service were all A+. The tasting menu was delicious. We will definitely go again.
Always a wonderful time! Having Jenny as our waitress makes it even more wonderful
Excellent fresh sushi. Delicious cocktails. A terrific venue for a birthday celebration. My kids loved the lobster fried rice... they skipped the hot sauce and egg on top but said the flavor was phenomenal.
Great service !!
Great service. Flaming crab sushi was amazing! Best miso soup I’ve ever had.
Amazing food! We got a number of items from the cold and hot appetizer menu to try everything and also got a few sushi rolls and drinks. The total was reasonable for everything that we got and the food was delicious. I would definitely go back!
Awesome food and service. Will definitely be back again!
Wonderful service, wonderful presentation the food. The rolls were disappointing, but the rest of the food was outstanding.
Excellent service and great food and drinks!
Azumi is a great place to get Sushi. It maybe the best in Baltimore. The sushi was fresh and melted in your mouth. The seaweed app was just ok. The mushroom app was excellent. My wife ordered sake and loved it. She is a sake expert and declares their selection the best.
While the food and drink deserve merit; the best part of the evening was the exceptional service. It was my wife's birthday and they gave her a card and ice cream. Our server was amazing. Her knowledge of menu, neighborhoods, pop culture, sports, and local news was better then Baltimore Sun. She made the experience perfect. Thank you.
Great experience. Our waiter was superb and the food was outstanding. This place is a gem in Baltimore.
Food was good, service friendly, but nothing exceptional and overall did not feel like a good value. Perhaps better visited when outdoor dining on harbor a possibility.
Service is impeccable as always. Thanks for another amazing meal as always!
Great but I find the place too nousy
Really good meal. The sashimi and waygu steak was outstanding. The chimichurri sauce with the steak, and the mushroom spinach sauté was great too.
Service was really mediocre. Accentuated by the fact that the tables on either side of us had much better service. Was very weird and an anomaly for us. Usually the service is better.
Amazing service and food! Definitely will go back!
Always a great experience at every Atlas property ❤️
The restaurant is in a premium location with a spectacular view of the harbor.
The decor creates an intimate and upscale atmosphere.
The table settings are impeccable in how they are placed.
All all clean and well maintained.
The waitstaff is courteous, friendly, attentive and their demeanor reflects well on the experience.
I could not ask anything more of them.
When I came across this restaurant on the internet, the pictures of the dishes and their presentation caught my interest and enthusiasm to experience them.
They appeared unique and exquisitely presented.
Most of all, my goal was to share with my guest an exceptional experience, similar to the many I have enjoyed throughout my travels. I have experienced exceptional culinary craftsmanship and flavor profiles.
This seemed like the place for that, given their $$$$ and the pictures.
To start off with, the only brand and bottle of sake offered was $58 for 300 ml.
It was insulting - they think I am a fool to pay that price for a bottle of sake which I can purchase at my local liquor store for extremely less? It wasn't even Suntory Hibiki or Longquan sake.
And they didn't offer plum wine (a Japanese specialty)
That alerted me to the nature of what I was about to experience.
I've seen it many times before at these "upscale" restaurants; wrapping a pleasing and hipster decor around average food and charging exorbitant prices for it.
Without a doubt in my mind, the sushi was subpar, both in taste and presentation and the the Chef's specialties were blah. The portions of the sushi were a little small.
The rainbow roll was blah. As well as the spicy mayo shrimp tempura - couldn't taste the spicy.
The sushi was about as good as I could get at my local Chinese restaurant which also serves sushi.
None of the dishes we had looked anything like the pictures. They were just plain.
This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. It was our first time at Azumi. From drinks to dessert, everything was well prepared and delicious! Our server was great and so were the rest of the staff at the restaurant. We can’t wait to go back!
Very disappointing !!! Server was super slow had to ask other servers to get him for refills . Sushi presentation was non existent . For the price paid I would expect some type of dressing up the plate and garnish. $127 for mediocre sushi.
Always an amazing experience.
We love all of the Atlas Food Groups restaurants. That said, this trip was disappointing. Ambiance, Service, Atmosphere etc were all great. The sushi was good but not great. The prices are 1/3 higher than other quality sushi restaurants. We are happy to pay a 10 % premium for the ambiance etc. That leaves a 23+% surcharge for sushi that wasn't much better than the other choices. We have had great meals at Azumi before and were surprised. Hope we just hit it on a bad day. For a 23% premium we expect a meal we can't wait to return to.
Having Jenny is always an outstanding experience!!!
She’s a delight!!
