Please call the restaurant to book parties of 9 and larger or for additional reservation assistance.
Beautiful restaurant with a nice view of the harbor and excellent people-watching. The service was friendly. The meal was overpriced: the ramen noodles were partially underdone and some were clumped together, straight out of the package; the sashimi tuna was cut a bit haphazardly. The best part of my bento lunch box was the rock shrimp salad.
Azumi was tasty, but certainly not exceptional and not worth its pricing. I wouldn't return.
the valet needs to open at 4 and not at 4:20pm the food wason point, the help i received picking out the sake was phenomenal
Wonderful location, fantastic service, friendly staff and the food was amazing.
Service was very bad. Did not know how to cater to allergies.
The food was amazing and you could tell the freshest and highest quality of fish is used for the rolls. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. We look forward to returning.
I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door. The decor and ambiance were amazing. The music was current. The volume was up. It gives you a swanky hip New York Club vibe. Kinda difficult hearing our waitress, but it was fine. Every bit of food was amazing. Quality cuts of sushi and beef. The drinks were very tasty and strong. We will be going back!
I made a reservation and the table was not ready. 30-45 min later I had to repeatedly leave the bar 3-4 times to remind them I was waiting at the bar. No one came to the bar after I repeatedly said thats where we would be waiting. After the 4th time we got a table after I said something. Just because we are young or new to that type of food does not mean we deserve a different type of service. The whole experience was not worth it. I have been a few times and it’s been a good 2-3 years since my last visit . It’s gone down hill and there are much better places in the city.
Great food as always! Management staff went above and beyond on a busy holiday. Had a 9:00 PM reservation and there was a minor wait due to it being Valentines day and a packed restaurant. The Manager offered us a free drink and they even passed out complimentary champagne while we waited! The food is phenomenal and worth every penny.
Went there for Valentine’s Day.
Requested the dining room.
They tried to seat us in the bar and tell us they had extended their dining room for the night.
Note, there was a DJ and no fewer than 4 giant LED TV’s with jellyfish floating on them. My wife was seated directly in front of all those things for our romantic night out.
Asked to be reseated. Got a tude from two employees. One then tried to seat us at the sushi bar. Again, I declined bc I had requested the dining room at reservation time.
Eventually they seated us in some weird room that’s clearly designed for business meetings. It, too, had a giant 50” LED with floating jellyfish.
The music was. So. Loud. And so. Bad. It was like being in a club.
The food was fine. But incredibly overpriced for what it was.
All-in-all, a really bad experience on a special night.
Overall a 3. Food was fine. Sushi was fresh-ish. Rice in rolls was overcooked, sashimi was nice. The menu wasn't very creative. I felt I could've gotten that meal anywhere albeit with lower quality fish and meats. Drinks at the bar were excellent. Wait staff was slow and disorganized. 30 minute wait for an 8:30 reservation, entrees came out before appetizers. The music was so loud the base was making the table vibrate. Great Decor, very inviting. I also expect real wasabi at high end sushi joints, not the 90/10 horseradish/wasabi paste you get with mall sushi.
Had a reservation at 8:15 but was not seated until 830+. They gave us free champagne which was nice. Other than running late, everything else about the experience was great. The restaurant was busy which caused a lot noise but that didn’t deter from a wonderful evening.
The food and drinks are amazing. Service is impeccable.
Best sushi and fried rice I have ever had!
Great food, great ambience! The sushi is amazing. The service was a little slow however it was still good service. Really enjoyed myself. Definitely plan to return.
Overall an excellent dinner and dining experience. Staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the food, and was able to suggest a sake pairing for the tasting menu.
Service was prompt, ambiance was good, and the food was amazing. Overall an excellent choice for a Valentines evening date.
The wait staff was very friendly. The food was amazing. It was my first time there, and I’m very impressed.
King crab roll and wagyu fried rice were awesome - pricey but worth it for sure... will be back again!
We have had many visits to Azumi. All have been a great experience. This time the service was not up to the standard we come to expect. The server kept forgetting our order. Maybe because the music was so loud and she could not hear us. Either way, it was a disappointing evening. I hope this is not a trend.
Everything was wonderful!!
I love Azumi-it is the best sushi I have ever had. Beautiful place, wonderful service!
Great food well done but the Zen one would expect is counter to the loud music track and Club vibe. The NYC prices are out of line.
We ordered the A5 Japanese Wagyu at $38 per ounce the taste left a lot to be desired . My group 3 order over $500 and none of us finished or felt satisfied.
Not your grandmothers sushi restaurant, music, people and the atmosphere all contribute to a great experience.
Super yummy as always. I totally recommend the tuna tartare because WOW
Disappointing for a high end sushi experience. Azumi (and Pabu before it) was always a special treat—quality of fish even better than Sushi Sono without traveling to DC, Philadelphia or NYC.
I had last been there 6 mos ago, and the difference in food quality was marked. The several types of nigiri we had were tiny and dry. Staple sushi (eg, maguro) was no better quality than a more economical sushi restaurant in the city—but a smaller cut and more expensive. The tempura batter was soggy. Even the bowl of rice contained okoge.
For me, the chic surroundings were never a draw; excellent fish was always what made Azumi a special treat that would get me to pay up a couple of times a year.
I’d feel so much better if I could attribute the food last night to a bad night on the kitchen’s part, but almost all dishes (particularly the sushi) were lacking in the fundamentals, in my view.
Still one of the best places i’ve been to in Baltimore, such a great every time we come
Excellent sushi experience, as always. Close to Nobu-level quality without having to get on a train!
It was lit
New Years Eve celebration. The location, atmosphere, menu, food, drinks, ambiance, and service were impeccable. I did not expect the staff to hand out party favors nor champagne near midnight. That was the icing on my most perfect evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a fine dining experience in Baltimore. Additionally, the drinks were incredible.
Dining for NYE. The music was so loud and annoying we could not even hold a conversation across the table. I understand attempting to create a festive atmosphere however guests should be able to enjoy each other’s company. We gave up trying to talk to each other.
This is not the first time. I love the restaurant but the headache from the constant loud music. No thanks.
Ben was amazing as a server. The food was really pretty, but nothing spectacular. It was beautifully presented but the portions were very small.
Delicious food & service but too expensive.
The Maryland Crab roll might be the best sushi we’ve ever tasted. A must try!
We went here for my daughters graduation. The food was great
And the service fantastic. We didn’t order dessert but they brought my daughter an ice cream creation with a candle. I would go back and highly recommend
Always the best food, service, music and vibe!
The food, ambience and service were all A+. The tasting menu was delicious. We will definitely go again.
Always a wonderful time! Having Jenny as our waitress makes it even more wonderful
Excellent fresh sushi. Delicious cocktails. A terrific venue for a birthday celebration. My kids loved the lobster fried rice... they skipped the hot sauce and egg on top but said the flavor was phenomenal.
Great service !!
