   It was St patrick's dinner with a special menu. There were three entrees listed on the special menu. I ordered the corned beef sliders and my husband ordered the corned beef poutine. When food was delivered they brought two orders of sliders. We told the staff that there was supposed to be one order of the corned beef poutine. They took the one order of sliders back. Few minutes later our server came over and told us the kitchen was not making the poutine. so we settled for the second order of slidders. Ordered a red Sangria. What was served to me was the worse Sangria!! Take lessons from your tapas restaurant across the parking lot. Their sangrias are delicious. Our server brought us the wrong tables check. The second time our check was wrong. The third time.....well let's just say there is a lot of room for improvement.

   Ordered a lovely bottle of wine, recommended by our waitress. I had the stuffed shrimp, spicy but good. The deviled eggs were the surprise to us, would definitely recommend. We were seated outside but after the sun set the wind picked up and they were able to accommodate us inside. Our waitress was wonderful and ambiance was great.

   Great dining experience. Server (Drake) was exceptional. Quiet comfort. Great food and wine choices. Food was delivered in a timely manner at a perfect temperature. Desert was chocolate and great too! Highly recommend.

   Location is stunningly beautiful, food was very good. Plus, we were treated to a surprise fireworks show at the end of our dinner. Downsides: our seating area was quite cold, and the food took a l-o-n-g time to arrive. They did comp us our drinks and dessert, which was great I will go back and take out of town guests to show off the view!

   Service was very slow sat for 20 minutes before they came over after we were seated. Had to flag them down to take our order after they served our appetizer. Ordered a steak medium rare and it was literally seared on the outside but completely raw under the sear. I didn’t even eat it. I did tell them to take it off my bill and they did without any problem. Won’t go back.

   We have often considered Azul for a special occasion. This time the food was very pleasing. However, the (rather young) wait staff seems to lack training. E.g., we were given menus and bread very quickly after being seated, but we had to wait for a long time to order drinks. When I ordered a glass of wine during dinner, the waiter left my empty pre-dinner martini glass on the table when he brought the wine. The staff has apparently never heard "serve from the left; remove from the right." Our waiter picked the corner of the table between the two of us and just plopped full plates or removed empties from the same spot for each of us. Not especially classy for a restaurant that seeks to be first rate. We were never asked if we would like to consider dessert.

    Highlights: - Food was delicious. The deviled eggs were super creamy, the harvest salad was a delicious representation of the season, and the prime rib was amazing. - Architecture made for a nice setting Lowlights: - Service was a bit slow, but our server, Lara, was delightful. - We weren't offered the option for coffee or desert at the end of the meal. - The martinis were only okay. At $15 a pop, I'd hoped for something better.

    Outstanding Christmas afternoon dinner. Our first visit to Azul Restaurant.........and we'll definitely be back. A VERY special place........ Very accommodating and pleasant staff.......... All of our meal selections were excellent..... and the views were spectacular. !!!

    Service was outstanding. Food was decent, not great. It was Christmas day so choices were limited to only a couple of items, none of which were outstanding. Cost of $200 for two people including tip with non-alcoholic drinks is out of line. Especially with bread so hard you couldn't eat it. An elegant buffet with unlimited choices and food of the same quality would have cost less. In fact we booked Azul because we had been to holiday buffets there in the past. We thought it would be a buffet again this year; we were surprised it wasn't, and disappointed.

    We usually got to Lowes Ventana Canyon for a fabulous Thanksgiving or Christmas Buffet. This year they seemed way too pricey. In hindsight, we would have been better off. We were seated quickly in a nearly empty restaurant. The table was bare (no tablecloth) and a knife fork and spoon were in a rolled up napkin. Our first waitress seemed to have been recruited from the housekeeping staff. No reflection on her, but she was clearly untrained and not dressed for the part. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet. The waitress brought two glasses that were too small for red wine and presented the bottle. Even she recognized that the bar had given her glasses that were wrong so she brought two others that were water-spotted. She took those back and brought back others that were hardly better. Then she tried to open the bottle. Clearly, she was untrained at this. She backed up behind me so I was spared the struggle but she finally was able to pour. Then she finally took our orders for salads but before we could order our entrees she was off. She returned a few moments later to announce that she was going home and someone else would take over. Only then did we order our entrees, both going for the prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes. Surprisingly in a few more minutes she was back with our salads, which were excellent. The other guy showed up and asked if we would like some bread. We would have liked it on the table when we were seated, so said yes. He brought a basket of three rolls, also excellent, but not enough butter. I had to ask another passing staff person for some bread plates and more butter. Before we finished our salads, the entrees showed up. I sent off the remnants of my salad and with it my one and only fork. My wife snagged one from another table. The prime rib was good, but not exceptional, the potatoes lacked the garlic and the asparagus spears were severely overdone. We split a piece of chocolate cake that was just okay. Never again.

    We were excited about spending Thanksgiving Dinner at a top-notch location and Azul fit the bill since we dined there at the Thanksgiving buffet in 2017 which was awesome. This past Thursday was somewhat disappointing because our wait time for the food was excessive after ordering. The quality of the food was very good; however, the food was "lukewarm" at best and bordered on being on the cool side for a Thanksgiving meal. The party seated next to us asked the waitress why the food was taking so long to be served after they ordered. I think our plates sat out on the pickup area too long resulting in the "cool" temperature of our orders.

    Azul used to be a go-to for anniversary dinner before Covid hit. What was once a pretty extensive menu has been pared down quite a bit. The entrees, steak and an Alfredo bow tie pasta, were very good.- though nothing particularly special. The service, however, was inconsistent at best. Despite being a quiet night with less than half the tables with diners, the wait between each stage of the meal was excessive. It's a beautiful patio setting, very peaceful. Tucson is a mecca for delicious and inventive food, unfortunately Azul did not meet top notch status this visit.

    It did take awhile to get our meal and it wasn’t quite made the way we asked but it still tasted amazing and our server (Zoey did an amazing job considering how busy she was. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.

    We were the first ones to the restaurant. The host/busser was extremely friendly and working very hard! He deserves the tips for the entire restaurant. Our server was not helpful when asking questions about the menu, they weren’t busy yet it took him 10 minutes to bring our drinks. The wine was not even close to a full pour. He dropped the food off and never came back to check on us. My daughter needed more ketchup for her extremely overcooked burger. I waited 15 minutes for the check and finally went inside to the manager who also didn’t even seem to care we had a poor experience. The flat iron steak was chewy and tough. The chorizo rice tasted like left over uncle Ben’s. This dish was extremely overpriced for the quality and I do not recommend. It’s unfortunate the service and food is so bad. The restaurant is in such a beautiful setting.

    The view out on the patio is spectacular. We enjoyed the arugula and strawberry salad (prepping wasn’t as good as it should have been) and the fish special, all delicious. Service was especially good.

    We celebrated our wedding anniversary by having dinner at Azul. We were promptly seated on the patio which was quite nice and comfortable. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The Tastes of the Southwest appetizer was very good. The chips were warm with just the right amount of salt. The guacamole and salsa were delicious. The burger and salad were delicious. I had the tomatillo pasta and chicken. They were expecting a creamy green tomatillo sauce with a bit of a kick. However, it was more like an alfredo sauce. It was delicious though! Another member of our party had the special chicken Parmesan and it was very delicious. All portions were quite large. We ordered the cheesecake and the creme brûlée and both were outstanding. In fact, the 2 desserts were complimentary. The only thing I would add is to expect a house glass of wine to cost no less than $15.00. We had the Chardon Gardon Spritz ($20) and the house rose. Both were quite nice. It had been quite some time since we had dined at Azul and we will definitely be returning soon.

    Our experience was mixed. The french fries were seasoned very well. The salmon was delicious. My tamales were good but the accompanying beans were a little dry. The view was outstanding. Our host told us that the mosquitos were too bad to eat outside and that we would have a few flies indoors. At least he was honest. We weren't bothered by the flies too much. The service was poor. Our crab cake appetizer came out at the same time as our dinner, my substitute lettuce for kale side salad ended up being french fries instead. There weren't that many people there but maybe they still didn't have enough servers. Our waitress never checked on us without being hailed.

    Worst experience ever. One glass of wine took 20 minutes from order to delivery. Ticket time for food was 45-60 minutes for 2 appetizers, a kids meal and a salmon entree. 2 younger kids (4 and 9) should have had meals brought first but they waited 45-60 minutes! Meanwhile a table seated after us that clearly did not have a reservation and had more people got their food and finished eating before we had our food! We had a reservation and should have been served first! When I questioned why I was told computer issues with orders?!? No one told us that until I asked. I don’t think it was a computer issue. I think they overseat the restaurant and give no priority to those who took the time to make reservations versus those that just walk in. I could tell our server and the other server I saw were running around like crazy- so I know it wasn’t their faults. I assume this is a management issue allowing the host to continually seat tables knowing the servers and kitchen can of support. Ridiculous. Never ever coming back.
