Sad to say I went on the last night that they would be opened. The food was great . Hate to see a great restaurant closing.
Everything was delicious!
Awesome experience. Food was wonderful! Will be going again.
My friends and I had vouchers because we have season tickets to the Blumenthal. A Pan-Asian restaurant is not something we would normally choose. I was pleasantly surprised at how many menu choices appealed to me. We had a super waiter whose name is Dimitri. He answered all our questions about the different menu items we were interested in and helped us use as much of our $25 as we could. We wound up ordering one of almost every dessert and we enjoyed sharing them.
We decided as a group that we would definitely return to this restaurant.
If you are at all hesitant, don't be. It is a wonderful dining experience.
Great food for a good price. I got a dish with shrimp and several veggies. Cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. Service was perfect.
First visit. Would return if in the area. Food was good. Large servings. Good location.
We enjoy the single pot Asian dishes and find the food fresh and we'll prepared. Service is efficient. Only concern is the noise level sometimes makes conversion difficult.
We had a fabulous dinner for two at this lovely restaurant. The area is decorated for the holidays so it's especially festive now. The food was freshly cooked, tasty but not overly spicey. Some of the best Asian I've had in Charlotte.
The rating at the restaurant was a 90.5. The food that I had was okay. The salad did not look appealing as the letttuce was wilted. The manager (I assume that who he was) should have dressed more appealing. My co-worker had to send her food back twice and ended up not eating at all.
Great food, good service, quiet since we were there a little early.
The food was excellent and the portions were generous. We have been eating out in Charlotte for many years and for Asian food ANZ is one of the best in the area.
Truly excellent. Experienced all sorts of new taste delights; could not compliment the chef enough.
Extensive menu, very attentive server, and nice surprise of 1/2 price wine bottles on a Sat night. Place was surprisingly empty but we benefited from it.
My husband and I really liked AZN. Alex was our server and she was great! We had happy hour items: general chicken, crispy calamari (so delicious!) and the blue crab sushi roll and salmon avocado roll. All was very good and tasted fresh! Would definitely recommend :)
This is my second time dining with my friends at AZN. We went before the dinner crowd and found it to be a very nice quiet meal. The service was very nice and attentive. We started with the edamame and spicy calamari. Both were tasty. I ordered the Seven Flavor Basil Beef. It was very good but lacked sauce. The server happily brought more out though. My dining mate ordered the Hong Kong Pan-Fried Noodle plate and really enjoyed it.
So this is one of the most unique situations I've ever been in for writing a review. I chose AZN Restaurant because I wanted someplace special for me and my date and I knew that she loved sushi. So I made a reservation for Friday night at 7:30pm. Well when I arrived, the restaurant was beautifully decorated and had soaring high ceilings and just had a good feel to it. It was however, missing one critical feature...people. There (literally) were only 2 other couples, just finishing up I might add, eating in the restaurant. Our server Alexander was very prompt, courteous and did a great job. Ten minutes into the meal, the other 2 couples finished up and for the remainder of our time there, we ate in complete isolation. Not one other person came into the restaurant. I had never experienced anything like this. The food was absolutely incredible in my opinion, beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful.
If it were based solely upon the food and service I would 100% recommend it to any and everyone I knew. Yet, if it was on the Ambiance I'd have to give a different answer.
NOTE THAT I ATE AT THE RESTAURANT IN NAPLES, FL...NOT CHARLOTTE.
Our party of 4 arrived at AZN Restaurant shortly before 5 PM last Sunday evening. AZN Restaurant is located near the end of Piedmont Row just a short block and a half south of Fairview Road in downtown Charlotte. Piedmont Row is quite impressive, appointed with an array of restaurants along the cobblestone sidewalks. Parking garages are abundant and many of the restaurants validate your parking receipt for you.
The interior of the AZN is a blend of Asian and contemporary decor surrounding a spiral staircase to the second floor. We were promptly seated in a booth next to the large glass windows on the first level. There is also abundant outdoor seating at this locale for those who enjoy outdoor dining.
My wife and the other 2 members of my group ordered the Lo Mein, while I opted for the Wan Chai Walnut Shrimp with white rice. We were all very pleased with the service and our dinner selections. The bill for my wife's dinner and mine came to a little over $36. We drank ice water, however, and did not order dessert. The portions were more than sufficient without ordering dessert.
I give the AZN Restaurant 4.3 out of a possible 5.0. If you enjoy excellent Asian food, this is a great spot for lunch or dinner.
My husband and I went here for a date night! Great service! Great food! We had the Kamikaze Roll, Vietnamese Spring Rolls and the AZN lo-mien. Oh, and the Blood Orange Grey Goose Martinis are a must!
Good, just wish they had a better location....... So hidden in back of buildings...... Which makes less people see it , which makes food be there longer, which means u may get less fresh raw fish...... All good though .....
Food was ok. Came out cold but the service was very attentive to rectify that. Would definitely try it again.
Had a great time at this restaurant. Service was awesome. Food was great.
The food is delicious, I had Korean Short ribs and my friend had crispy shrimp. Both were very good.
Date night with my wife...sat in the bar. The food was amazing and prepared exactly to the request we made.
The staff was top notch, such a pleasant experience!
My friend and I tried AZN during Charlotte Restaurant Week. It was a bit alarming that such a massive restaurant in an ideal location was almost completely empty, maybe 2 tables were seated in total. We ordered calamari as a starter, but it was brought out at room tempature and overlooked. It should never have been served. We informed our waitress who swiftly removed the plate, apologized, and brought us an alternative option. Looking at the normal menu it's obvious that this food is over priced....$18-22 for one sushi roll? I think not. There are way to many amazing little gem restaurants in Charlotte for me to pay inflated pricing for a subpar product at this restaurant.
normally i won't review restaurants that don't give out open table points, but we had a reward coupon, so i want to recognize that, and our server dmitriy, and all the other staff we interacted with were great- pleasant, enthusiastic -but not too over the top, and asked us about our experience, so it was was a terrific evening
Excellent service and food. Great ribs but the mashed potatoes fabulous!
1st visit, beautiful space, great food and service great experience minus the patron who walked in looked at me sitting at the bar with chopsticks and a Martini and says "I have a reservation this evening" 🤔 hmmm what a coincidence me too!
