Great food. Interesting dishes. The lamb was really tender and the spice level was perfect.
Raj was our server and he was exceptionally friendly and our overall experience was wonderful.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. If you like full flavored, spicy as you want it Indian food, you will love Azitra. We always have the ginger martini, Samosa, Tandoor Grilled Chicken appetizer (we have it as a dinner) and the Chicken Tikka Masala. It's the kind of place where the staff seems inexperienced, and the training is non-existent, but if you have your expirations in check, it can be a great restaurant. Like the assistant server yelling at your table before they actually arrive to ask you if you are finished, even though you are still eating. They also stack the plates on the table next to you, like a bad diner, but if you adjust your expectations going in, and appreciate that the food is very good, I think you will like it.
The food was great but we were sorely disappointed by the vegan options on the menu. We went for Triangle Restaurant week and the menu specifically stated to ask your server about vegan options. However, the server didn't seem to know what vegan was and kept telling us that if we didn't eat the food with the yogurt it wouldn't taste as good. My sister who is vegan only had one choice on the regular menu. Although the channa masala was good she wanted something different (she eats this a lot as a vegan).
Excellent food and service!
My daughter wanted Indian food for her birthday, so we decided to check out Azitra. Overall, the food was delicious, though we were all surprised with how spicy the chicken tikka was. We were expecting them to be a bit milder, however they were almost as spicy as the Lamb Vindaloo I ordered as my main dish. Good for us that we ordered some Lassis to put out the flames. My daughter and wife really enjoyed the Crab Masala and my son loved the Butter Chicken. All-in-all a good choice for Indian.
This was our first time - WOW! The service was great and the food was outstanding. Our server made several excellent recommendations for entrees and appetizers.
Raj was our waiter and did a fantastic job recommending food choices based on preference. Great experience.
First time here and wanted to find a restaurant serving Indian food for a guest staying with me. This really hit the spot! Our wait person couldn't have been better and the food was delicious. Definitely on my list of restaurants in the area.
We sat out on the patio. Almost an oasis - just need a little more sound blocking by the street to make it idyllic. Food was outstanding.
We went there to celebrate bday, stayed at the private room and as always, service was great and food delicious. Strong recommend the place for all occasions !
Excellent food and even better service with Raj our server. If you want amazing, high quality Indian food, this is the place. Not the place if you like low quality buffets. Even the cocktails are amazing.
Food was ok, and décor was good. But service was absolutely TERRIBLE. Slow , unattentive , rude waiter absolutely disturbed us. We will NEVER return. Avoid this one.
I've never been here before but love Indian cuisine. Our server Raj was great to help me decide what to order. My sage paneer was great. My friend ordered the fried cauliflower appetizer and it was terrific. Will return soon and love that there is an outdoor dining area
What a wonderful dining experience! The food was amazing! The wait staff was attentive & took time to explain menu choices. The specialty cocktails were made very well & satisfying. The restaurant decor was casual but elegant. We were also celebrating a birthday and that diner was treated to a birthday dessert. I can’t wait to eat at Azitra again!
Moved from the area a couple of years ago. Been to the restaurant many times before. Was back visiting and had to stop in. Food was fantastic as always and waiter was great. Highly recommend.
Very good food! Great service! Casual relaxed atmosphere.
Well prepared, authentic Indian cuisine choices. Nice ambiance, good service.
Always amazing food with fantastic service xx
Azitra is an outstanding restaurant featuring Traditional and contemporary Indian flavors and dishes. Unique at Azitra is a Tandoori Tenderloin of beef. Unusual that an Indian establishment to carry a beef dish but it is a great choice for a
choice less traditional option. We save Azitra for special occasions as it is always a treat.
It's such a good idea to require reviews. That way you can waste a lot of time and ensure that people will never leave another review. Well done.
Good Indian food. A little pricey but consistent with prices at other Indian restaurants in the Triangle.
The Lamb Shank came very highly recommended and it was even better than promised. I went with spice level 3 would try 4 next time around. The meat was tender and a great portion size. My wife had the Crab dish spice level 2 and it was perfect for her tastes
Delicious Food. Probably my favorite spot in Raleigh.
My husband put it best when he said “It’s the kind of food which as you eat, you’re already looking forward to having the left overs he next day.”
Excellent selection of variety of dishes. Always high quality and nice presentation. Attentive and engaging service. There is also outside patio dining (with possibility to bring well-behaved dogs if management says OK, like during off-peak hours).
ALWAYS. GOOD. This is my go - to Indian restaurant in Raleigh Durham area. I love their salad, naan, and goat curry. Also enjoy their Biryani, tikka masala, and seafood curry. They have good cocktails (my husband loves the Bombay kiss) and good beers on tap.
Food and service were excellent. The restaurant was very noisy with patron conversation, but thankfully the restaurant did not play music (or Muzak) on top of the ambient noise.
Awesome, our favorite spot for Indian food.
Food choice and quality was excellent
Elegant indian with great wine selection
Wonderful food as always! We celebrated a birthday, and the server surprised us by bringing out a delicious dessert.
A few people in our group also had some dietary restrictions/requests, and the restaurant was very accommodating.
Can’t wait to go back!
We always love eating at Azitra. The staff is wonderful and takes great care of us as soon as we walk in the door. My daughter was home for the Easter holiday with her boyfriend and wanted our family to go because her boyfriend loves food of all ethnicities. He was impressed as we knew he would be!
We took friends to dinner for their birthdays. They received lovely b'day wishes from staff (who were not waiting on our table) along with a free dessert. Great experience.
The menu went well beyond the typical Indian fare, and our waitress did a fantastic job of helping us put together a family-style meal for the six of us. I'll definitely be back for business, friends and family dinners!
Great variety, including tasty vegetarian options, which was the main objective for our guest.
Always an exceptional experience! The service and food are by far the best Indian experience in the state.
We had a delicious lunch. The waiter made recommendations when asked. I was able to convey the amount of spiciness and my meal was perfect.
Great food, Great service!
We'd heard good things and read the reviews; also one of us is vegan. The menu is not huge (a good thing) and has novel items on it. Example: Shiitake, Leek Tikkis. We were very pleasantly surprised by the wine list, which is extensive with some very well known vintages and labels. Thoroughly recommended.
