The people were so nice and the food was outstanding - all of it - and we had the most wonderful Dragon's Milk... you'll have to go there to find out what it is! I love this place and always go on my birthday.
It was great
The dhal needed a little more seasoning else things were good; excellent lamb and veggie palak paneer dishes. Interesting, surprisingly exciting wine list!
I had read great reviews and we were looking forward to dining at Azitra. The food was good not amazing as so many had said. The samosas were so tough that it was difficult to cut through them with a knife, and the breads were cold and cardboard like. We did enjoy our entrees.
The problem here was terrible service. It was not a busy night, many available tables yet we felt rushed from the minute we arrived. After ordering I specifically told our server we did not want to rush and he assured us that would not happen yet our main came out before we finished our first course and received our cocktails. We had planned to order wine but the food far out paced the bar.
My biggest dissatisfaction had to do with clearing the table . Although the server, food delivery person and a manager visited our table no one removed empty plates or glass ware, even when I asked, a plate was removed and others were not. We had empty plates and glasses though out the meal. At the price point we expected better.
Would’ve liked a better explanation of what we were ordering?Explained what I was looking for and got something totally different overall the meal was good loved the bread but didn’t like that I had to pay for every serving of it
Very good food.
We recently moved from Colorado and were happy to see that our favorite Indian restaurant is also in North Carolina.
Our meal was delicious!
Great food and atmosphere. The wait time for food was great considering the amount of guests. Server was fantastic as well.
Great food! Appetizer qty. could be better! Great wine selection too!
The service wasn’t the absolute best but once we got served after a bit of a wait, our server was so friendly. The food never disappoints.
We had our go-to meals and loved it...naan, peshawari naan, apricot chicken and paneer makhni. The food was excellent and made for good leftovers too. The service was great too.
Azitra has always been a favorite of mine. The staff is very helpful and the Indian cuisine is exceptional. The cost of the food is a little more than normal Indian restaurants, but the ambiance, experience and the food make it appropriate. Highly recommended.
The food is always delicious! Also, I like the value for the meal which includes salad or soup, entree and naan.
Great food! Nice staff
Absolutely the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Never fails to deliver.
Best Indian food in Raleigh area, we absolutely love this place. It's more of Indian fine dining because prices are higher but restaurant and food is fantastic.
Best butter chicken in town hands down.
My boyfriend and I booked a reservation with Azitra on a whim. We didn’t realize they were also participating in TRW but we ended up ordering off the regular menu instead. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with dinner as well. The food was all fantastic (samosa, curried goat, lamb vindaloo, and naan, oh and the dessert sampler). I would most definitely recommend this restaurant based on the taste! The space itself was small but very cute and spaced out. Even with tables on a banquet I didn’t feel like I was on top of other diners. Service was slow though, good! But slow. It took forever for a server to come over to ask about dessert once our table was cleared, and then after dessert it seemed like forever for a check to be presented. This doesn’t rule out a restaurant for me though, I would certainly be back since the servers were all so professional and courteous. Aside from it dragging, the entire staff was great.
We enjoyed our experience at Azitra! The food was very good, and the service excellent. The staff was very accommodating when asked to substitute an entree on the restaurant week menu, which was appreciated.
I highly recommend Azitra. The best Indian food we’ve found in Raleigh!
Excellent food & service.
The wait staff was great! He gave our table recommendations and all food was delicious! We went during restaurant week so had a 3 course meal. I will definitely return for another meal.
Great food! unique and original dishes. We had the wonderful lamb shank as well as apricot chicken dish. Definitely will be back
Great server. Interesting drinks. Excellent food
Food is excellent, and both those who are new to Indian cuisine and those who grew up in the Indian culture appear to enjoy the food. Ambiance is very pleasant, and having conversations is not difficult. Service was a little slow getting started, but thereafter was attentive.
As always, great food and great service!
I really like this place. It's a great deal for lunch. The food is very good and plentiful. The service was a bit spotty, though. It took a very long time to get our drinks and to place our order. Entree plates were brought before our soup and salad plates were cleared, so we had to help the server make room for the entree plates.
Lovely as always
Love Azitra. It’s one of our go-to spots for a night out!
Great food at Azitra and staff are excellent and attentive! The only miss is that my guest was waiting for me to arrive and I had already been seated waiting for him to arrive! Host told him I hadn't arrived yet, etc. etc. All in all though love Azitra and the staff.
It's interesting how one's entry into a restaurant can set the tone for the evening. The hostess not only didn't greet us at all, but stared at us without a word until we stated that we had a reservation. She took menus and walked towards the dining room, still not speaking, and seated us, also without a word. Water was served quickly, and the person who poured water was very friendly. It took a little while for our server to come, and while she wasn't unpleasant, she was very perfunctory. Given the extensive nature of the wine list, I found the selection of wines by the glass to be very few and disappointing. The wine prices were also very high, at $13. for a mediocre cabernet that I estimated at about a 4 oz pour.
The food came out quickly (almost too much so) and was okay, although presentation was unremarkable. Given that dinner for 2 (with just 2 glasses of wine) was over $75., I would have expected a bit nicer of a an experience, and certainly more outgoing service.
Delicious! I had the Crab Masala and my wife had Goat Curry. It was so good!
Awesome Restaurant! Always a treat! Never a letdown.
Excellent flavors. Fine dining experience.
We had a great dinner. Our table of six was happy with everything we ordered. All the sauces are seasoned just right. Spicy but not too much for our American palettes!
And the energy of the crowded room has just the right vibe. No need to put loud music on top of that. So nice when they can keep that sound in the background!
Food was fabulous as usual. Was with someone with food allergies and the staff was great with recommendations. Great restaurant!
Birthday for my daughter. Service and food amazing as aleays
Always great food .....
