Azie in Media Ratings and Reviews
We chose this restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day. The ambiance was really nice and the food was delicious. We were disappointed in the service. Our server was very polite but she was hard to find when needed and we waited a very long time to be served.
We will try again when it isn't a holiday.
I had just collected my wife at the Philly airport so I built in some extra time to get to the restaurant in case of delays. Consequently, we arrived way early but were seated immediately. The Asian cuisine was inventive and delicious as were the cocktails. A very enjoyable evening.
Went to Azie with a small group of friends for dinner on Friday night (6 of us), and while we had a good time together, it was not a great choice for such a dinner. The bar area is the liveliest area in the restaurant but they sat us in a small private-ish room, even though we were a group of 6 and the other people in the room were on quiet 2 person dates. Even just normal talking and laughing in this room was extremely uncomfortable. The death glares from other patrons and the service staff made our experience sub par. Our waiter was very friendly and assured us that we were not being too loud and that everything was fine. He was not the problem and did a good job. But the waiters at the other tables around us were very rude and we received several rude looks from them as well. A little after 10pm the lights were TURNED OFF even though we had just paid a $400 bill and left extra tip other than what was automatically added into our bill. Oh and there were still a few drinks to be finished from the bottles of wine that we bought. No one said anything to us on the way out. I will probably never go to Azie again.
Our waitress was terrible ! She didn't bring our drinks(after asking twice) until we were done our meal. There was a huge party in the center of the room - maybe they could think about their other guests and put the large, noisy parties in the back of the room, or downstairs in the more private room !
We love coming here. However there must be a new chef. The truffle fries we normally get tasted like frozen French fries from a bag. We sent them back as they were awful and had no truffle to them at all.
Our waitress Hannah was fantastic. We've had her before and she is beyond amazing. She is truly an asset to that business.
I usually get the diver scallops and love them. Tonight they again didn't taste the same. No shiitake mushrooms, the cream sauce was thinner than normal and a ton of it versus a drizzle. The bread pudding on the plate tasted completely different, almost smoked in flavor.
It's a shame because I loved the food before and now with the changes I'm unsure if I will be going back.
