Azie in Media Ratings and Reviews
This place rocks ! I personally love their sushi 🍣 hands down its the best I’ve ever had! The atmosphere can differ a bit . A lot of business types like to come here for drinks and dinner. Other days it can be a nice relaxing time. There is nothing on their menu that the chefs of Azie don’t put their best work and creativity into every dish. Staff was very professional and polite. I can’t wait to go again...!!!
My wife and I love the food at Azie. It is our favorite restaurant by far. It is more on the lively side. If you are looking for a vibrant scene and great food, this is it. It gets a bit loud depending on where you are seated, so if you are looking for very romantic or private dining you would be wise to look elsewhere.
We have eaten many time at Azie and it is consistently good. There are an abundance of restaurants in Media and I would rank Azie at the top of them all. The menu offers sushi and more traditional choices. The food is excellent, service very good, price reasonable and it is consistent.
An excellent place to dine - try it!
The food was absolutely fabulous! There were 5 of us and all of us were so delighted with our meals. It was really busy, and service was just a little slow, but we dealt with it because we were catching up with each other. The only downfall was we were on the 2nd floor it was really loud. Our waitress was so kind and very attentive.
I'm looking forward to eating there again!
I have been going to Azie for years and rarely disappointed. However, on this night, the table I had requested for my reservation was taken; each of the four dishes my friend and I ordered were mediocre at best. This included the calamari salad -- the calamari was soggy, the roll I ordered I believe had cream cheese in it which it was not supposed to have, the Bitmap bowl was extremely disappointing -- the rice was gooey and the meat overdone, and the tuna sashimi over seaweed was tasteless. I will not abandon this restaurant but unless they up their game I won't be back.
The food was good but the service definitely was lacking and that overshadowed the experience. We had a 6:30 reservation and got a dining room table on the window, the dining room was empty. After it got busy we had to keep flagging someone down to get plates cleared or dessert menus, and the check. Understaffed or inexperienced staff not sure which it was - Really bad - seems they have high turn over in the dining room. On the other hand, bartenders are consistent, very personable and make very good drinks! - great place for mid week dinner at the bar.
Beautiful, extraordinarily trendy atmosphere. Saturday night proved to have a rowdy, noisy office party, that quieted down a bit, though we were seated directly outside their room. Passageways were incredibly narrow, so getting in and out of seating along with bulky winter coats was a bit challenging. I give the servers credit for hustling up and down the steps (we were seated on the second floor) and service was good. Not a huge fan of the carpaccio - in my opinion this should be 100% raw. Miso soup was excellent, little mushrooms a nice touch. Sushi rolls were very good all in all, though the selection of sushi was rather limited compared to our favorite place we usually attend. Would not recommend for a quiet date night. Would be great for those into hip, lively, trendy spots. Eclectic food selection.
Sushi is consistently excellent. 2 in our group of 6 had the halibut special and they both thought it was outstanding. Didn't realize that for a group of 6, the restaurant adds the gratuity. And of course, we added it again when paying. After calling the restaurant later that night, the manager identified our check and corrected our error. He was great about it, and that confirmed that I will go to Azie many more times!
Well the food was pretty good, I had mushroom dumplings. We had a bottle of champagne. Everything was fine/ drinks, appetizers, entrees. The place was not packed, but the check never came! Yes the waiter checked back to make sure all was ok, but really too long for the check. We also had a drink at the bar before we were seated and the bartender was great, really attentive. This was this Thursday night, if that makes a difference.
