Azie in Media
Went for dining under the stars, lots of fun!
I dined at Azie in Media last Wednesday evening and I enjoyed my meal and the service immensely! Our server was very attentive and made great suggestions. I will be back.
Outdoor on deck with just enough shade during the hustle and bustle of dining under the stars: an ideal setting. Two out of three dishes were great. The special miso cod was superb. The regular salmon for another was a big hit. One of three was a disappointment— the 25 dollar special pineapple fried rice with shrimp. I guess you are paying for pineapple presentation because there were only three or four reasonably sized, but not super jumbo shrimp. Mistake ordering fried rice at a place like this with so much fresh fish. Live and learn.
Anniversary and Hanna recognized it with a dessert tray.
Very good experience!!
Food was delicious. We sat upstairs and it was loud and warm, air conditioning wasn't very cooling. It got a little cooler when it started to empty out. However it wouldn't keep me from going back.
Super service -always friendly
Juan the bartender is the best !
Our first time @ Azie and we truly enjoyed ourselves. The restuarant is cute and classy. The service was great. The food was great. We'll definitely be back again!
Always a great restaurant for lunch, dinner or after work
Had reservations and still waited 30 mins. Food took an hour. Was expensive and the service wasn’t the friendliest.
The food and ambience are quite sophisticated for Media. The truffled mushroom soup is a delightful starter. The grizzly roll was excellent and a very generous portion of salmon. Nice wines by the glass. Excellent service.
Server was kind, but seemed to rush us . Didn’t clear dishes.
The red dragon sushi roll is fantastic
Service was excellent, food so-so.
Tuna Tartare - warm on the outside and room temp on the inside? The light sauce had zero flavor. And it was served with generic tortilla chips. Nothing to write home about here.
Octopus Salad - octopus was tough and chewy
Azie Roll - delicious but there were way too many tempura crunchy bits on top of the roll...sort of a cheap way to create the look of more volume on the plate.
Kobe Beef Hot Rock - fun but nothing I would rush to order again. And for $18, with its minuscule portion in mind, it’s probably the poorest value on the menu.
It seems to me that Azie has gotten complacent and Perhaps there is someone other than a headshot running the kitchen.
Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but there are many better sushi places in the area and I probably won’t be back here.
Terrible service, very slow and inattentive. So loud it prevented meaningful conversation. I’ll only go back if it’s with a gift card, not worth any amount of money I’ve worked for....
Shared a wonderful sushi dinner with my wife, service and food were excellent as always. Enjoyed sitting on the second floor, we'd never been seated there before.
One of our favorites. The food is always terrific. This time, I tried the halibut and was blown away - the fish was great, but the preparation was superb. I can best describe it as "complex" thoroughly enjoyable. My wife had the sea bass and was similarly impressed.
Our waiter was very attentive, but never hovering. He was also clearly happy to be working at Azie - you can usually tell if someone is just "working" or enjoying their work.
Anniversary, it was wonderful!
Azie is our favorite spot and the premier dining experience in the borough of Media.
Great dining experience ! Food is always wonderful and fresh. Great attentive stellar service from “ Ashley “
Will be back .
The hostess was friendly and took us right to our seats. The atmosphere was enjoyable . My twin sister and I went to Azie's for some good food and wine and to celebrate our birthday. The meal was fantastic and our dessert came out with a candle on each one. Everyone around wished us a happy birthday. We had a fun and special night. Thank you to our amazing server. She was top notch!
We had dinner on Azie rooftop deck. Everything was wonderful. The food was delicious and our servers were awesome. Loved the rooftop deck! Great view!
Service was slow but we sat outside so that might have been why
My only Azie experiences have been at the Villanova location. So when we decided to choose Media, as it was closer to my mother in law’s house, I expected the same experience I had had at Villanova. Starting with the ambience, it was very cluttered and the food was placed by the entrance where there was constant high traffic, especially since there was such a long wait on Mother’s Day. It seemed the staff couldn’t keep up with replenishing or stocking anything. No offense to having young employees (everyone needs a job) but the place was filled with young staff that did not have enough experience to make up for the lack of costumer service in all the other areas. I understand it was a busy day but it was very poorly planned for. Food had run out before we finished our brunch and we were very disappointed in the quality. The menu was very different from Villanova and the lack of quality in taste was evident as well. I believe the location has been around long enough to know how busy the day would be considering it was a holiday. Rather than plan accordingly, this location decided to take our reservation, make us wait an hour, charge more than the usual price of $25, and have the audacity to run out of things for us to try. I don’t know what is going on since I thought Azie was a chain, but the difference in location is almost uncomparable. I was so embarrassed taking my mother in law here as I had built this experience up thinking it would be like the Villanova one. I will never go back to Media location again.
Always excellent! I think it gets better each time I go!
Thursday happy hour. Ate and drank off of happy hour menu. Wine was acceptable. Calamari was ok. Nachos were awful. Very little flavor. The California roll was average. Pricing was typical happy hour.
This is a very nice little neighborhood restaurant with a very accommodating chef/staff and very good service. The ingredients were fresh, but the food, while good, was indistinguishable and far from the best I have had of this kind and for the price.
Decent restaurant in Media, PA. I would say its services and food matches the price.
I prefer this location to the one in Radnor. Excellent food and service.
Azie is consistently reliable for good food and good service. The menu offers variety but is not overwhelming with choices.
It is one of Media’s best restaurants. Only drawback is that It can be a bit loud. That said, we will keep going back!
Usually enjoy Azie very much. However, the following morning after this visit, I was ill from my entree, which means the seafood was borderline spoiled. Brought half the entree home, thinking it would be a good meal the next day. No chance of that.
Pom-pop cocktail was delicious (Prosecco and pomegranate juice). Our favorite rolls were the spicy crab and red dragon! We will be back!
Their. Restaurant week menu was poor.. there was only one offering!
Food and ambiance were excellent! Perfect outing with my friend to catch up and have a great dinner
We visit our daughter who attends Widener University. We always take her out to dinner. Azie is now our favorite restaurant in Media. Fantastic!
The lunch special is an amazing deal! Soup, salad, and two sushi rolls for $12? Amazing! The sushi was outstanding. Everything was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
We ate at Azie last night at 7:30. I had been looking forward to my favorite shrimp tempura appetizer and I was shocked to receive a dish of soggy shrimp. I have had this appetizer many many times and it has always been perfect. Not sure what happened but it was disappointing. On the other hand, my avocado salad was the best it has ever been. I know many regulars love that shrimp tempura so I hope they figured out what happened. I did return it after sharing a few.
Food was awesome! Probably my favorite brunch I’ve been to.My only complaint was my past 2 visits it’s been cold in r restaurant
Consistently good! We are fortunate enough to live five minutes away and, while there are many dining choices in Media, we often find ourselves here. Great staff and service but the food and drinks never disappoint and always leave you thinking about your next visit!
Overall a nice meal with friends. All the food was very tasty and came out hot but we think they forgot about one of our entrees until we mentioned it. Don;t get the herbed edamame unless you absolutely love rosemary because that is the predominant flavor. Otherwise we really enjoyed the food.
