Azie in Media Ratings and Reviews
Well the food was pretty good, I had mushroom dumplings. We had a bottle of champagne. Everything was fine/ drinks, appetizers, entrees. The place was not packed, but the check never came! Yes the waiter checked back to make sure all was ok, but really too long for the check. We also had a drink at the bar before we were seated and the bartender was great, really attentive. This was this Thursday night, if that makes a difference.
The restaurant was new. Found on line while looking to eat in Media. Very happy to find this place. Great atmosphere, food was excellent and price was fair. Really had a nice time. Didn't wait for anything and our waitress Hanna was a sweetheart. Anyone who goes will have a very nice time and meal.
The outdoor deck is a great place to dine on a nice evening. We like the fresh fish and the presentation, but two of us both had same reaction to small portions of veggies and overload of starch (be it overly sweetened with syrup “sweet” potatoes puréed or very rich mashed potatoes with the otherwise excellent sea bass). Beer selection is nice — what other global fusion restaurant offers German beer on draft. Overall positive experience.
Excellent appetizers. We had Kobe beef, tempura calamari and crab and cream cheese rolls. All were excellent. My friend had the drunken noodles with Chix and loved it. I had chicken terayki. The Chix was so tender and flavorful. We had a wonderful and pleasant waitress. I would definitely go back. We had a fabulous time.
We were seated at a table in the bar area, did not get any service for close to 15 minutes. We decided to move to the bar and eat there instead to get faster service. The bartender was nice and attentive. The food was delicious as always. My boyfriend and I shared 2 appetizers, the tempura calamari and tempura shirmp, both outstanding. Then we shared 3 sushi rolls. Azie has our favorite sushi roll in town, the red dragon. Despite the lack of service in the begining of the night, we highly recommend this spot and will continue to go back!
We always enjoy a night out at Azie, they have excellent sushi and always have an interesting selection of specials on the menu. This visit was a little frustrating due to the slow service; the waiter was great, and attentive, but the food took forever. A large event on the second floor was obviously slowing things down, but still, you can plan for that, it wasn't just a busy Thursday night.
Come to brunch here every couple of months. Seem to be cutting back a bit - used to have nigiri sushi out, then it was available if you asked, today I was told it's no longer available for brunch. Similarly with sushi rolls, the variety seems to have diminished. Today, the omelet station was unmanned three times I looked.
That said, they do still have a very good variety of foods and they are always very tasty. The table staff have always been attentive and pleasant. The brunch cocktails are also good and not at all overpriced.
Certainly a very good brunch and I'll keep coming back.
Our service was beyond outstanding!! The food was lacking this time, though. The beet salad was smothered in a dressing and there was no hint of the taste of beets. Also, the spring rolls and the tempura were soggy from the sauce - but otherwise good. The halibut was nicely done. We like Azie, but did not feel compelled to go back soon based on the overall quality of the food.
