A cozy addition to New York City's Theater District, showcasing the unique cuisine. Azalea's menu is unique for Italian restaurants. Simple and modern, each bite encompasses vivid flavors and traditions of the Brescia and Amalfi Coast regions.
The menu offers selections combining the rich, creamy sauces and hearty meats of Brescia with the fresh seafood and the delicate fruits and vegetables of Amalfi. Once inside, an 18-foot, gently curving mahogany ceiling serves as the blossom connecting the fine woodcarving of the front and side dining rooms and bar area. Georgia O'Keeffe's flower series surrounds guests as they choose from Azalea's distinctive menu and extensive wine list.

I loved this restaurant. I knew nothing about it , chose it because it was near the Winter Garden. Our waitress was lovely, the food was very good. It was quiet when we were there, however it was an off time.

Had a wonderful dining experience. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Our meals were paced nicely and the food was very good. Totally enjoyed by three of us and we all agreed that we would dine with them again.

Great restaurant, they get you out quickly for plays, great selection of tasty food! (Wine glass could have had just a bit more--pretty sparse even for NYC). A fave!

The food (calamari, lasagna, spaghetti primavera and chicken Azalea) was phenomenal! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We also had the bruschetta, which had the balsamic pearls. That was super delicious! We couldn’t have enough of it! The crème brûlée and dark chocolate cake were perfect tops to an awesome meal. Our server, Valerie, was very helpful when it came to making our decisions on what to order. Valerie is very professional, courteous, and friendly. Go to Azalea because it’s a very cozy restaurant with great atmosphere and food.

I wanted the Prix fixe with the Caesar salad and salmon. The salad was supposed to have a quail egg, if it was there, I didn’t see it. The salmon was supposed to come with some cheese and spinach bonbon. Lots of spinach, no cheese…. Well, the salmon tasted very good, but it was very very salty. Maybe that’s what the cheese was for? This was sort of disappointing since it was a 42nd wedding anniversary dinner. Also, the waiter asked me how I liked my salmon, cooked, I told him I like a crusty exterior and slightly rare inside. Well, he couldn’t do it that way. So I didn’t really understand why he asked me how it was cooked because there’s only one way they prepared it. My husband’s chicken and pasta bologna was much better. I wouldn’t order the salmon a second time, and I would ask the waiter in advance if the quail egg came with the Caesar salad. On the other hand, the pistachio ice cream was excellent, and we got two scoops! Did I tell the waiter about my issues? No I did not.
