My husband and I wandered in to Ayutthaya in August 2016. After our awesome experience that year, we knew we would be back again. We took a Lyft to the restaurant since parking in Capitol Hill is a bit spendy, and we were not disappointed with our experience. The cocktails were great, the food was delicious and generously portioned. This will be a staple in all future Seattle visits for us.
Service was excellent, food arrived in a timely manner, restaurant was very clean and organized. Good portions and tasted fresh, curry dishes have wonderful flavors and ingredients. Would dine here again and recommend.
The food, as usual, was very tasty and the proportions generous, even in the happy hour menu. The atmosphere was quiet and conducive to conversation. The service might have been a bit more attentive, especially given that we were practically the only customers in the restaurant. Also, I noted in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration, but there was no acknowledgment of that.
Neighborhood Thai restaurant.
We came in for a quick business lunch with 6 people. They were able to seat us right away and it was definitely quiet enough for us to have a conversation. The food was great and good sized portions for lunch.
Recently had dinner at Ayutthaya to celebrate two college graduations and Father's Day. Our party of 8 was well taken care of and the food and service was excellent. All enjoyed our appetizers and dinner - to include one member of the group who is a vegetarian. highly recommended.
Service was great but I was not impressed by the food. I ordered a Thai salad and it was drenched in a very thick, syrup-like sweet paste. Could not even eat it. Disappointed but maybe other entrees would be worth trying.
Served me the wrong food. Gave me meat when I asked for vegetarian. Never got my water after asking twice.
Food was great. Love the sea food curry. Our waiter was not good. Talked with his friends for 20 minutes. Had to go to bartender for service and pay bill. Never got hot tea.
Waiter was nice and rest of staff as well. All worked well together and food was fantastic!
The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive and accommodating to dietary restrictions.
This place was a good find. It seemed like a local spot that everyone loves. My food was ok-i will definitely go back to try something new. The service was great! I want to love it.
Please fix their open for business hours. Our reservations was for 11:00 am, but the restaurant did not open until 11:30 am. They did seat us and accommodated our reservations.
Very tasty food. We ordered extras so we could also have take out. Plan to eat there again real soon.
They have the best swimming Rama I've had in Seattle. It's hard to try anything else on the menu because of this. My friends and dining guests always enjoy their meal and agree this place has great Thai food.
my new favorite neighborhood thai restaurant .. sold and solid!
My partner and I had dinner here on a Friday evening with a group of friends. This was the second time we ate at Ayutthaya and we were looking forward to it after having a lovely meal last time. The restaurant has delicious renditions of much of your standard Thai fare, as well as several interesting and affordable specials. I had a fried rainbow trout filled with tasty apple/carrot/ginger salad -- it was filling and delicious. We were happy to discover that a second happy hour began at 9pm, with great drink discounts including an apple ginger cocktail to fit my meal. We'll definitely return next time we're in town!
We were recommended this place by someone at the Chiluly museum and he didn't steer us wrong. Great food, great service. Loved the pumpkin curry special, the Tom Kha was awesome. The satay was like what we learned to make in Bangkok earlier this year. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed the Thai food. The vegetables and chicken were well-prepared and the sauce was very flavorful and a little spicy. I would definitely go back.
My wife and I decided to try Thai in our anniversary, right when we entered a strong smell compared to cheesy feet hit us, we were about to leave but we assumed it was from all the spices used for the food so we decided to stay, we didn't like even half of what we ordered, maybe Thai is not for us.
My friend and I felt very welcome when we entered the restaurant. Neither of us had eaten here in a very long time. The food and service did not disappoint. Prices are very reasonable. Also, there are some dishes that are not typically found in other Thai restaurants locally, which is much appreciated.
Salad Rolls/shrimp/2 sauces: "A" nice fresh tasty. Crispy Garlic Chicken: "B" somewhat dry & chewy, coating excellent, too much bone & gristle. Mango Prawns: "A+" absolutely delicious! Ginger Halibut: "F" dry, tough and way overdone (not fresh?) Unpleasant fatty fishy flavor prevailed in spite of the very good sauce. Should have sent it back, but didn't... Ginger Grass cocktail: "A". Will return when back in the neighborhood.
The food was good. Service also good. The dining room has lots of windows which giving you just a street is still very nice! We have gone before and will go again!
I've been to dozens of Thai restaurants throughout the US over the years. Ayutthaya is one of the two best I have ever been to. The food is incredibly delicious, well-prepared and healthy, and the cost is so reasonable. Ayutthaya gets my highest recommendation.
Went here with my husband to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was small, simple and relaxed. The food was not quite what I expected as I've had my fair share of Thai restaurant dining. I would say the food was a bit on the bland side. Overall I'm not sure we will return here as we have had better tasting Thai food else where.
with outstanding staff, delicious food and gracious service. It is a family eatery where I feel welcome with a smile.
The food was great, the ambiance was nice but the service was terrible. Three of us went on a Saturday night and while we were seated right away (I had a reservation) we were barely checked on. It was even difficult to flag someone down to make our order/get the check.
The waitstaff was very friendly- but not attentive. So if you are in a hurry, I wouldn't eat here. But for leisurely dining it would be alright.
It's a truly nice and cozy place to enjoy authentic food with gracious service. It's family-run, and guests are welcomed into a warm and genuine atmosphere!
This is a very comfortable spot and the servers are friendly and helpful, although a bit disorganized. The food was very good and the experience was good. We will return for a casual night out.
I and a group of friends were in Seattle for a weekend-long swing-dance workshop, and Ayutthaya was close to our hotel. We were able to reserve a table for 6 on short notice and they allowed us to pay with separate credit cards. The service was very good, though we had to ask for water refills a couple times. The food was just the right combination of tasty and light (we would be dancing all night). I would definitely go back.
An excellent, authentic Thai restaurant with owners and employees who care to deliver the best food and see their customers happy
It's a great dining spot, and the staff makes you feel comfortable and welcomed! Very low key with EXCELLENT FOOD! Lovely and warm environment!
