We’ve had so many great servers there over the years - Taylor, Eliza and many others and the food is always top notch.

Waiter had trouble keeping up with what we order and when and what food was coming out. Bill was not correct at the end of the night.

We had a wonderful evening. First time for friends - althought it took us over an hour to get there - they all said it was well worth the drive. We had the 4 course meal - all courses fresh and delicious!

This miserable place is the worst restaurant in Frederick. The service is ridiculously slow and incompetent. If you complain enough, you might get a server’s attention. But good luck actually getting food in under 45 minutes. If the food does come, you’ll be sorry it did. The restaurant may pride itself on slow, but it specializes in greasy and tasteless. The bread was raw. The dolmades were bland tubes of uncooked rice and gray mystery meat. There are too many great options in Frederick for a place like this to exist.

Returned to celebrate lunch with special friends -- we were not disappointed! Were given a table in the alcove which is cozy, comfortable and permitted pleasant conversation. The food was innovative, healthy and tasty, but get the Mediterranean dishes - American burgers better elsewhere in Frederick. Service was attentive and didn't rush us when we lingered after our meal was complete. We will return.

The food was very good and it was our first experience with small plate dining. Most of the food was fantastic. My mother felt the Greek salad was lacking and did not have any olives in it. The only real concern was that I made reservations days before for five and they sat us at a table that should have sat no more than four. This forced use to divide some plates as they were served because there was absolutely no room to sit them down. We do plan to go back, but will be sure to ask for a larger table.

We went on a Wednesday and it was half price bottled wine night. ( did not know that until we were there ) Our bottles of wine proved to be cheaper than we would have paid had we bought the same wine in the store. (We looked online) yes, we did tip on the full value. :)

We had a great time. Every male I saw had a collared shirt with perhaps half wearing a jacket. I did not feel out of place in a tie, but it did not feel " buttoned- up". This is a great place to have a great meal and great time.

Has become one of our favorite restaurants since moving to Frederick. The tapas menu offers enough variety so that you can always try something new.

The stuffed eggplant is outstanding. All the food is well flavored, and not oversalted. This was our friends' first visit, and they were delighted by the experience. It is fun to share lots of appetizers.

Food was delicious , wait staff warm, friendly, and competent. We sat out on the enclosed porch, and I could tell that it was quieter there than in the main dining area.

Food was not the best. Some items were tasty, but some, like the dolmades, were just bad. Items were either under-seasoned or salty. Service was friendly and attentive but not on point. Not a repeat.

We have always enjoyed being at this restaurant for special occasion and eating very tasty food. However, for the first time, the service was unusually slow. We ordered the early bird special as soon as we sat down. After an hour, all we had eaten was an appetizer and salad. We eventually had to do a take out for our entrée and dessert as we needed to leave for another engagement that night. The slow service could have been due to being a Tuesday night and business was pretty light or we had ordered our meal in the bar area and the bartender had too many folks to take care of. We hope it was an anomaly as we really like the food there. We will check it out again after the Xmas Lights Ride on Dec 15.

We’ve been coming to Asye (pronounced “Eye-Shay”) for years and it remains one of our favorite places in Frederick. I don’t know if it was the busy time of the evening, but our service was disconcertingly slow and uneven despite having an earnest experienced waitress.

Our food took way too long to come out and when it did, I had to have them reheat one of my dishes.

The restaurant is very noisy at peak times.

Try to reserve the “Ayse Room” (formally known as the “Ottoman Room” or “Nook”) if you can. It’s a tucked in area along the windows by the north entrance which offers some additional ambiance and intimacy.

Our dinner was very good, with one exception. The shrimp kabobs were bad, as in possibly dangerous to eat. However, the restaurant was very gracious in taking them back and compensating us for them.

We always leave Ayse Mezze feeling happy and satisfied. The prices are excellent . The location is easy to get to. The restaurant exudes class and authenticity....some how the simple elegance always makes us feel special. Although we had a 'new' server, she let us know she was new and was an excellent listener. I always say, there's nothing worse than a server who doesn't listen. When I substituted sweet potato puree for rice and they brought me rice, she noticed right away. The brussel sprouts are amazing --- even if you aren't a brussel spouts fan. I had king salmon which was very good.

Frederick has a number of decent restaurants and I would gladly add this one to the list. Food and service were good and we had a terrific bottle of wine from Israel that was very reasonably priced. Restaurant is large but we were seated in a side room which lacks some of the fun in the main dining area, but it was quiet enough for easy conversation.

This was our 6th visit in a couple of years, we drive 40 miles to get there, always worth the trip. I made reservations a week in advance, the hostess led us to a “tent” table, which was not acceptable. Too cold, there was a draft, and the party tent doesn’t have any ambiance. Great room for a spring/summer/early fall wedding reception.

We were seated in the bar. The waitress was efficient, we tried a lot of things and all were prepared well and served hot. “Cigars” are a must, as are the asparagus fries at sister restaurant Isabella’s. Hummus was terrific. There’s definitely something to satisfy many tastes in their menu.

We’ll be back!

Our visit there for the second time was with two ex co-workers and the first ex co-worker that left us recommended this place so I made the reservation using this venue again. The most recent co-worker stated when we meet again that she wanted to come back to Ayse Meze again and I agree. The workers were ALL FRIENDLY, from the door to the back. This is what is needed after a hard week of work. PLEASE KEEP UP THIS GREAT PLACE. I just LOVE IT!

We were seated right away, but have had to wait in the past. The restaurant was a bit loud but not terrible. The food was great as always. Either they need to hire more servers or need quicker service but it always takes a while to get something you requested from your server.

We have eaten at Ayse at least 6 times over the past few years. Unfortunately this last visit is likely our final visit. Over the years the quality of service has deteriorated. On our last visit we were seated in the bar (after requesting a quiet table if possible in our reservation). In the bar a waiter at another table was literally yelling questions from the table he was serving to the bartender at the bar, who was yelling answers back. Our waitress argued with us on our questions about availability of a dish and wine. I simply asked if a dish I had on a previous visit was available and she insisted it was one of multiple other dishes on the menu, which it wasn't. Then she argued about the wine.
Our meze came all at once even though we asked to have the meat dish last, the waitress said it had to come when the kitchen had it ready and that we wouldn't want it cold (duh). When we first dined at Ayse the meze would come out one or two at a time, which is a pleasant way to enjoy the meal. The food was still good, and it was not enjoyable having everything rushed. A server brought a dish to our table that we did not order and asked us if we were sure we didn't order it...yes, we were sure (was he??)....it belonged to a nearby table. The bus-staff started to take plates before we had finished them. The poor service took away enjoyment from the meal.

Food was good. Waiter was good, but took too long to bring us the bill after I asked. Other servers kept bringing us food that was not ours. Don't know if kitchen or what in there system was messed up, but it was annoying. It happened at least 5 times. Then my husband's pumpkin ravioli came, but my gyro didn't come for a long time. Then it came and they brought another pumpkin ravioli thinking it was my husbands. I am guessing he got someone else's the first time. The noise level was way too much. We had to move rooms, but it was still too loud. This is our second time there. First time we ate out on patio and that was great.
