Everything was delicious!
Service was great and the food was good; we ordered their Sunday brunch and bottomless drinks both were good and plentiful.
Service and food was great, at hostess desk they seemed very confused and not know what was going on
Always a great restaurant with a nice menu and unique items.
Unfortunately, two entrees and two desserts on their special menu for the night were sold out.
Meal was still quite good, but disappointed I didn't get my first choice.
we had the valentine special, which was great. only one disappointment was the dessert I looked forward to was no available
The food and service was excellent This is a wonderful place for Saturday morning brunch
Valentine’s Day dinner
We had a reservation for Valentine's Day dinner. Long wait even with a reservation. the front of the house didn't seem organized and they likely stretched themselves with too many reservations on this busy night. Poor service and planning. They ran out of most of the prix fixe items. We didn't even get the salad that we ordered and the waitress was like " Oh well, this salad is better anyway". The food was mediocre food at best. Had high expectations but was sorely let down. Not going back unfortunately.
My wife and I love this restaurant. That being said they failed on many levels tonight. We had 7pm reservations for Valentine’s Day. We expected some delay but 45 min past our reservation is not ok. What made it worse is the host. She was unprofessional and argumentative. She sat a couple that did not have reservations and were clearly her friend. I get taking care of your regulars but that should not be aloud on a holiday. When we did get table our server was friendly but seemed some what overwhelmed. The food was good but we were disappointed that we were not able to order anything of the regular menu. Having had many great meals here in the past I will be back but never again on a holiday.
Outstanding Valentine's menu, great variety and value. Only issue was the high noise level.
I loved the special options that were available for Valentine’s Day! My husband though wanted something fried. ;-) Maybe you should
Add fried shrimp as an options also.
The dinner was absolutely wonderful and every selection a tasty treat Enjoyed the evening, the food, the service and everything was great!!! Thanks for the Great Dinner.
THe Avenue Bistro has been one of our favorites since it opened.
I was really looking forward to their Valentine's menu. The lobster bisque was good but needed to be hotter. The 4 cheese arancini and the flat bread were very good, again the arancini were a bit cool. The main courses bot came out undercooked, lobster and filet, and again were on the cool side. The deserts were great. As for the service we were rushed through our meal with courses coming out before we had time to finish the previous course. It was not the quality or service we had experienced in past visits. While it was good the visit was somewhat disappointing.
Fabulous food. They are in the midst of a remodel so the atmosphere currently leaves a lot to be desired. Can’t wait to see it completed.
Great food- Changes of menu not welcome and special promotion nights done away with. In spite of great food will not be back.
Love this place only been twice, but great food, service, and atmosphere
On the weekend service is a really slow in the bar area, but totally worth the food and bottomless mimosas . Also, wish someone would have told us our first time there was a buffet in the back included in your breakfast on sundays.
Took a friend for Sunday Brunch. Great bottomless cocktails. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was fun and eclectic!
Would LOVE if Dinner ambiance would include dimmer lighting. Love the candles, but if lights aren't dimmer just a little, it's not as effective. Love everything else though!
Great Restrant - Great Service -Great Food -I'll be back!
Salmon was overcooked. Kitchen should serve poutine with cheese curds - not fried cheese curds. Gravy on poutine was good, but more was needed
Medium rare steak was overcooked and extremely dry, the champagne chicken was rubbery and the caesar salad was filled old, wilted lettuce. Was excited to try this spot but quickly disappointed. The only good thing about my dinner was the large pour of wine I received (although it ended up being a different kind than I ordered). There are too many good restaurants in the area to come here and pay $50 for an overcooked steak and rubbery, flavorless chicken.
This was our first time to visit- we loved it! They have a great happy hour menu with smaller versions of the menu items so we were able to try lots of different things- they were all very good. We will definitely be back.
Great lunch specials! Neat atmosphere. Will definitely go again!
Very nice place for business lunch. Great lunch special on menu with all the options. First time there but will certainly be back soon for a dinner.
The service was uncharacteristically spotty. We started with a nice woman in training. But since she was brand new, she couldn’t answer our questions. Surprised she didn’t have any training including shadowing another wait staff for a bit.
Then when a seasoned waiter step in for a bit, she didn’t know he had. And he forgot to get one of the things we requested.
Excellent!! Great brunch options, nice buffet included - very well done!
We use to frequent Avenue Bistro a lot but it has been a couple of years since we have been here. Decided to come back since we remembered it fondly! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Our service was very slow, taking more than 30 minutes to receive our entrees - and when we were seated there were only a couple of other tables with patrons and a few people at the bar!
Our waitress was snarky when I made a simple statement about how long it was taking and her response was, very sarcastically, “well they have to cook it you know”!
My salmon was mediocre, carrots undercooked and the “pesto fettuccine” tasteless! My husband’s meal was no better! We were so disappointed because the food in the past there was always right on point with excellent service. WE WON’T BE BACK!
This was our 2nd at Avenue Bistro in the past two weeks. Food and service were excellent. We will definitely return with friends.
Very slow service, food did not come out as ordered but quickly remedied. Great special on Sunday with half price bottles of wine and steaks.
Our experience was amazing! The brunch was awesome and the service was commendable.
Good seating but service was awkward we needed to for almost everything. Server brought coffee we asked sugar cream took 5 minutes to bring it to table , by then coffee was cold. Coffee taste like tap water did not even smell like coffee . Food was average I don’t think worth what they charge . Very noisy. Brunch should be enjoying time but , they almost want you leave within 30-45 minutes . Overall my experience was disappointing. But may he will be better to go for dinner to try it out instead of brunch
Sea Bass was outstanding, other guests enjoyed their meals as well.
Great service all the way around. A very nice place to take a date. Relaxing, friendly, and the noise level was excellent.
Food was just ok. My steak medallion on my eggs Benedict was overcooked and the potatoes were bland but my crab cake Benedict was delicious. My husband got the chicken fried chicken but asked for the chicken fried steak. The lobster deviled eggs were AMAZING. Our other friend said his food was too basic for the price. He had the French toast with chicken strips. Seemed like we were forgotten most of our visit. I even had to yell for our server at one point before she disappeared again. Bottomless drink was not worth it considering we rarely got refills. One regular sized drink would've been better.
It was freezing cold in the front section where we were seated. Everyone at our table and several other tables had winter coats on for the entire meal. Our sever was very quick and congenial when he was around, but there were a couple of long stretches where he was nowhere to be found.
I have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. 5 stars all the way around.
We made the reservation, made plans for somebody to watch the kids, drove the half hour down to the restaurant, and were greeted by a sign on the door saying the restaurant was closing early. We didn't receive any notice. So, thanks for wasting our time.
Nice offering during Restaurant week for Sunday brunch.
