Avenue One at the Hyatt Regency Boston

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Boston for a business trip that included several networking meals. We had two breakfasts and two dinners at Avenue One. The food was great and it was quiet enough to have a good conversation. The service was also very good, but they didn't refill our drinks as often as I would have liked.
We had missed our reservation time due to traffic. It was not a problem, we were seated quickly and served promptly. The staff was friendly and very efficient. Our meal was delicious and we made the
ballet with time to spare. We have always used Avenue One when ever we go to the Opera House
and the service is always superb
Fine for a business breakfast meeting. Ambiance lacks a bit as no windows.
We were glad to see the menu change from the last time we were there. They have added more selections including vegetarian options
It was a rather busy time at the Avenue One! Maybe because it was a nice spring day. Young children allowed to run around the restaurant was disturbing. It is too bad that parents allow that. A child crossing the path of wait staff carrying a tray of food/drinks is not a good thing.
Our service and food were terrific. We visit you every time we attend a ballet; next season we are full subscribers so we will have dinner with you more often.
The food was great, service impeccable, ambience calming! A short walk to the Theatre where the 4 of us had tickets to a great play!! Will definitely dine here again!!
Overall great experience, superb service and food. Little noisy but overall not as bad as it could have been. Highly recommend
Good place to eat. Very convenient to Boston Opera House and theater district. Only drawback was that the service was very slow. Waiter was excellent and the food was good, just took a very long time to get the food prepared.
Very nice restaurant that was convenient to opera house. Excellent food but slow service. But we were in no hurry. Will go again
Food was so, so. They have menu items representing many neighborhoods in Boston. It would make more sense to serve one type of food and get it right, instead of what we got.
The food was surprisingly really good considering this is a hotel restaurant. I had the fish with butter cookie crumble - delicious!
Very nice place. We went for a pre-theater dinner. Unfortunately it was also the day before the Boston Marathon so they were very busy. Loved their menu where its basically foods from 4 different sections of Boston. Our waitress was very kind, pleasant and professional. The drinks and food were also very good. The only negative was it was slow because of the number of people. The manager/waitress felt bad and comp our drinks, very was very nice of them. I would definitely put them on your list of restaurants to try. We'll go back again
It was a great dinner before seeing a show! I was recommended the scrod by the waitress and she was right, it was great. Would absolutely visit again if I am in the area.
Good value! Nice people. Efficient service and excellent food.
Both had baked Cod dinner served with homemade mashed potatoes and vegetable. Fish was perfectly cooked with light cracked crumb toping. It was delicious. We were heading to the Boston Opera House and our server advised we eere welcome to sit and relax as our table was not need immediately. We thanked her and asked her to tell us if she needed the table.we were able to. Hat for about 30 minutes. It was perfect! It will necome one of our “go to’s” on Boston Opera House show nights.
Hosted an 8 person customer dinner in the dining room and everything was AMAZING. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We family-styled all of the salads, roasted chicken, lamb chops, steak and two awesome barramundi dishes. Everything tasted great.
Delicious lobster grilled cheese sandwich!
This place was lovely. The food was all delicious. However we were in a corner that was near an exit ( our choice we had someone in a wheelchair) but the waiter was not very interested in visiting our table. Also we had a coupon which gave us a good sized discount but our waiter gave us a bill at full price. .When we pointed it out he of course adjusted the bill but, I thought it was a bit sneaky. Good thing we only had 2 drinks ! Lol
Great for food and drinks if you like quiet spaces, especially if work is paying.
We placed our order relatively quickly as we were going to the theatre. It took 45 minutes after finding the waitress to get 2 simple meals. Had to ask twice for straws and refills on water
second time dining here in 4 weeks.
First time there was a problem with a charge that was later taken care of. But took over
a week to clear up.
On the last visit, seated promptly and placed our order.
We noticed that a party seated after us had received their food well before we did.
Odd part was, they ordered very similar items.
No explanation given.
After 2 tries, I would not recommend.
Arrived early, seated right away. Food on all 3 courses was excellent.
It was fine.
The food quality and portions were great and above average. The atmosphere was average. The service a slightly slow. The pour for wine is far below average and very small for the price. I would never order wine from there again.
While a good food and bar menu, you never forget you’re in the breakfast nook of a hotel lobby.
We were a bit early for our dinner reservation after the theater but were seated right away and enjoyed a veggie pizza as an appetizer. Our dinner meal was delicious also. The room was quiet as stated in other reviews which made it enjoyable to be able to sit and chat
Great spot for a pre-theater drink or dinner. And you can't beat the special deal on parking in the hotel garage for theater-goers. Service was a bit slow and the food was only mediocre. I'd go back if I were going to the theater. Other than that, probably not.
Food was excellent. Not enough servers, they were very busy. However our server was very professional and pleasant. Took too long to get the drinks from the bar and the drinks were weak.
The ratings could have been a five, but A new waitress timing was off a bit. We received the main course before we had finished our appetizers. We were served by multiple wait staff including the manager on this busy Saturday night. They were very attentive from filling our water glass to filling our wine glass.
We ate lunch in. Saturday before the theater. My sandwich was very tasty, but it wasn’t hot. Barely warm. I didn’t want to send it back because we were checking the time before the show. I’ve eaten there twice before for dinner and lunch, and it was great.
Service was excellent. It was close to the Boston Opera House which made it easy with my 92 year old mother.
I wasn’t sure how to rate the noise level using your scale but I wanted to emphasize that one of my reasons for enjoying it so much is because there isn’t any noise. And you can actually have a conversation with your dinner partner! The ambience is conducive to an enjoyable meal.
lobster fondue was amazing. went here before a show at the Boston Opera House, super close.
Enjoyed the food selection and wine. Worked out perfectly as we were going to a show at the Opera House.
Had dinner here before a show and the service was excellent. The food offerings are unique and all
our choices were excellent.
Terrific varied menu for both carnivores and vegans.
Good for pre-theatre dining.
Food was solid. Really cool menu concept. Nice big armchairs that you can sink into were perfect for me and my wife!
Always good. New menu. Kind of liked the old one better but we shall see.
