Now his unsurpassed expertise can be shared with you at Avenue Italy, where you will find a welcoming atmosphere and freshly prepared food by the expert and his team.
I was there for lunch and ordered a $15 salad and asked to add a piece of salmon. The salad was good but but no means amazing or special; kale, grapes, feta cheese and pine nuts in a pretty small portion. When the bill came in they had added another $15 for the salmon, so suddenly my mediocre lunch was $30.
Whatever the server “suggested” was below average. Brussels Sprouts appetizer was way undercooked, tasted like boiled Brussels Sprouts. Pasta recommendation was dry and overly spicy. Our group couldn’t eat either dishes.
Food is consistent. Waiters are friendly and service is very good.
My wife’s birthday dinner. We had an awesome time! Fresh food with authentic flavors. We love this place!!
Beautiful restaurant with wonderful authentic Italian cuisine. Best chicken piccata in the area. We are regulars. Great for much too.
Service was very slow. It was busy. We had to wait for bread, water, etc.
We finally tried this restaurant and it was delicious! Although a little pricey, the food was amazing. We had reservations at 6:30 on a Saturday night, but arrived early, however, we were happily seated right away. The service was fine, but the server was not too “personal” or social. He seemed to be on “autopilot” but it was okay. We definitely will return.
Really great place.
Great food with lovely service. Especially love the pizzas as appetizers and their Cesar salad dressing is home made. Had the sea bass and it was fantastic. Husband had chicken and was great.
I have already recommended this place to a friend. The desserts were great. Light, fluffy, and fresh. Although not Italian, maybe add another dessert like a cobbler with ice cream.
We went with family for my brother’s birthday! The food is always delicious. The staff is always friendly and attentive.
I can recommend this restaurant (without hesitation), I’ve been coming here for years and it’s consistently great!
We had made a reservation for 5 people. They gave us a table that is really for four people. They added one chair to the side. There wasn't enough room for 5 people to eat on the table. when we complained they said that's all we have. We said then why did you accept our reservation if you didn't have place for 5 people? They said well everybody makes reservations! And this is all from the so-called manager. Finally after lot more arguing, they added a table for two to this table for 4 to make room for 6 people. However this table's level was higher than the level of the table for four. so it was awkward for us to eat on this two- level made up table for six. Extremely rude and non customer-friendly treatment by the so-called manager! we had guests from India visiting us. We had taken them out expecting to be a nice and pleasant dinner outing. The way the restaurant treated us, left my guests with a very bad impression of how this restaurant behaved. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
One of the best meals I have ever had. Service was excellent. Chef came to our table and we enjoyed speaking with him. Would prefer if they were air conditioned. Offer gluten-free bread and pasta.
Everything was wonderful!! The food was so good both my husband and I stuffed ourselves!! So many great choices on the menu too! Service was friendly and prompt!
Always great food and service. We enjoy the beautiful atmosphere
Service was awful! Won’t return.
Always a great meal
Wonderful food and service. I love that they are open for lunch and right through dinner seven days a week!
Great restaurant overall. Read mixed reviews before trying, but my family liked the service, food, ambiance. Parking is a bit of a challenge. The cost of the food may be a bit expensive to go for a local dining...
Delicious food with impeccable service!
We love Ave Italy and love their free corkage nights with the live music. The food is always good and it’s so nice to have a neighborhood gem in our area. We have never experienced poor service before but unfortunately this last time it was subpar and our server was honestly pretty unenthusiastic and uninterested. I will not hold it against them and we will be back because we’ve had too many good experiences to judge them on this one instance and employee.
The food was delicious. We were seated right away. I thoroughly enjoyed our birthday celebration. The restaurant was nice enough to give me (the birthday girl) a teramisu cake for dessert.
Food is wonderful. Staff is very friendly. But forgetful. Ordered a bottle of wine and they brought and opened the wrong bottle. Felt the wait staff were overwhelmed today
Birthday and Fathers Day
horrible. I made reservations online for a friday at 9:45, called to let them know we were running 10 minutes late and said they already closed the kitchen. literally had to turn all the way around when i was only 5 minutes away. i dont understand why they would let me reserve at that time, i even had the option to reserve up until 11pm.
Service was very poor Seated at a table next to an open door in the sun which made dinner very uncomfortable. Table was missing a complete set up and the glasses did not appear clean. We ordered a cocktail that was not mixed correctly with attempted substitute ingredients. No bread was served until asked for and none of specials were told to us. Our order was placed but nothing was served for 45 minutes. Other table, that arrived after us were served and completed their meals before our appetizer was served. Once the food was served it was excellent and arrived hot. Hopefully in the future the service will come up to the level of the food.
Had the eggplant and it was layers of soggy unbreaded eggplant with sauce on top. Others in party said their food was just okay. Service poor.
As always another great evening at our favorite Italian restaurant!
The food was great but the waiter was truly off. I asked if they could make a certain appetizer. He said yes, I said okay, we'll think about it. Next thing I know, he brings it to the table. He told my husband that the fish comes with mash potatoes. They were actually like breakfast new potatoes. I asked for a soda he said okay, my husband then said he'd like one too. He brought one for my husband and not me. It was odd!
Food was excellent albeit expensive. Dinner for 4 with no alcohol over $200. The younger server was energetic, friendly and fun. The waiter was supercilious and patronizing. Didn't smile once and no conversation outside of taking our order. Ambiance pleasant. Parking challenging.
Go for the food but don't depend on a sparkling experience.
Had a great time dining at the bar and conversing with the bartender Joe. He is quite entertaining. Can't wait to do it again.
Very nice place
Food was excellent - seating was a bit cramped, but it was Mother’s Day, so to be expected. Our waiter Joel, was knowledgeable, attentive and polite.
I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I felt the food was overpriced and fairly bland. The bread was excellent but it went downhill from there. Not bad food; just bland. My pizza was $20.00 for a sausage and mozzarella, which is about 4 or 5 dollars higher than other Italian restaurants nearby. All the dishes were priced higher than average. My mother's pasta, Vodka Penne, did not have enough sauce and was bland, as was the Chicken Parmesan. Cute place and locally owned, but this isn't enough to get me to go back.
$300 for a family dinner for four (2 adults, 2 kids). The place had plenty of tables available on Mother’s Day when all other nearby restaurants were fully booked. Suggest lower prices and you will have a full restaurant.....plus interior could use some professional design help, looks like a DIY job.
The food was very expensive and not very good.
The waiter took forever, and we waited forever for the check.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
We had 4 mimosas and that was $60.
I wanted some grilled shrimp - the waiter recommended I add shrimp to a pesto pasta.
I got 4 little shrimp and pasta and was charged $40. Thats insane! No Thank You!!!
When we arrived we checked in with two different people but were greeted and sat promptly. It was a reservation for 2 people. We then proceeded to order drinks and an appetizer but the appetizer never came. We then waited over 45mins to get our food. There were tables that came in after us and with larger parties that were served first. We order the same dish, which was the seafood linguini however they tasted different. One dish was better than the other as if they had different seasoning. After bringing our dishes we then requested cheese which meant more waiting. Once the bill came the waiter charged us for the appetizer. He seemed surprised that we did not receive it once we brought it to his attention. If he would have checked in on us he would have know. The food was fresh but the overall the service was lacking. We also put on our reservation that it was a special occasion and a birthday but that went unnoticed as well.
Trying to become regulars!
We had the scallops appetizer, followed by the eggplant Parmesan and veal Milanese — all were superb. The vodka martinis were terrific and the tiramisu was divine. This restaurant knows Italian!
